Drove up from Indianapolis to try Ziffle's for lunch. It was a fantastic experience. We walked in right at noon and nearly every table was taken. We were quickly seated by a polite young man. Our server, Michelle greeted us in a timely manner, and soon we had drinks on the table. Initially I was worried because of the crowd, but the servers ran the lunch shift like a well-oiled machine. We ordered the rib basket with fries, the BBQ pulled pork sandwich, and the fish basket. With the fish basket, I asked for a side of tartar sauce and ranch. We waited less than 10 minutes for our food, and everything came to the table exactly as ordered. The food was DELICIOUS. The ribs had just the right kick to them and the fries were hot and crispy. The ranch dressing is everything that a ranch-lover wants, full-flavored and soupy. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was served on French bread which held up beautifully to the full wet BBQ pork. It was the best BBQ pork sandwich ever, I will never use a bun again! The fish basket was large and delicious. The fish was big and crispy. On the recomindations of a Ft. Wayne to go page, my girlfriend and I decided to try out Ziffle's Rib Bar. There are two enterances here. 1. for family dining and 1. for bar seating. We picked the bar as the Notre Dame game was on and playing in there. I personally am a huge fan of all things BBQ however my girlfriend is not but was willing to give it a shot. When we walked it if we were blown away by the smell of smoked meat and delicious BBQ. We were greeted by and extremely nice bartender who allowed us to sit anywhere. We sat and looked over the menu which had so many rib, pork, and chicken bbq options. I went with the pig out platter for a best of all things plate (pictured) while my girlfriend went with the rib tips. Food arrived about 10 mins after order and we were not let down. The smell was incredible. The sauces on the meat were like none that I had have not to mention how wonderful and tender all the meat was. Bones fell directly out of the ribs. Not a typical bbq, but a tangy sauce that was packed with flavor. This sauce had different levels of spice I had medium and mild. The bbq on the rib tips were enough to suffice my girlfriends dislike of bbq but she was also blown away at how tender and flavorful they were. Came on a Saturday evening around 6pm, had to wait in an over crowded tiny waiting area for 45 minutes when we were told twenty to thirty minutes of wait time. The hostesses were also serving as waitresses, clearing tables, and were carrying out a number of of many other responsibilities. The hostess could not even stand at the hostess stand because of the crowd, and many parties had a difficult time finding her since she was not in place and was frequently completing other responsibilities. Someone at our table ordered a half of chicken BBQ salad... Unfortunately, the chicken on it was raw (see posted picture). Kindly, the waitress informed the manager, who came to the table, apologized, and said he would take the cost of the salad off our tab. In addition, he went above and beyond the call of duty by offering to pay for our beer. The ribs are quite delicious and come off the bone pretty easily. When you order a rib basket, the fries are served under the ribs and soak up the succulent BBQ sauce, which comes in mild, medium, and hot. For our entire dining experience this evening, the four of us were in and out of Ziffle's in 1 hour and forty five minutes. The accommodations are quite cramped and the overall service could definitely use an upgrade. However, if you have some extra time and are in the mood for some pretty good BBQ ribs, it may be worth the wait. Just for your knowledge, this was my third time coming to this dining establishment. This was the only time someone in our party received raw chicken on their salad, but the service and cramped quarters were comparable to our other visits. read more

Getting good BBQ is rare, it's either really dry or has no flavor but Ziffle's blew my mind. It's a small place in a strip mall next to Kroger in Georgetown square. I ordered the fried pickle spears to start with and they were so good! They didn't fall apart when you cut them or bit into them. They have $1.00 bud light, Budweiser and amber bock, that's right I said $1.00! There smaller glasses but a pint is available for $3. For dinner I got the rib basket that comes with fries and garlic bread. I got my fries with cheese on them which had cheddar, mozzarella and Parmesan and was given ranch to dip them in! It was enough food for an army. The service was excellent and had great conversation with our waitress who suggested items on the menu. If your in Fort Wayne, stop by this bargain gem. This place used to be my absolute favorite. Their lunch special is the best in town but it is the only reason I give them 2 stars instead of 1. Lately, their ribs have been awful! Every rack I get is like a plate full of rib tips. Full of cartilage and bone with no meat. To top that off. That is a sketchy block Have you sort of noticed that some of the best places for ribs are sort of like this? Traditionally well cooked slowly inside a wood fire smoked grill? I feel that you have to give up very little in quality, to feel confident parking and walking to and from, your car at this place. They are not allowed to have a grill to cook their ribs on, but have to get by finishing then on a pizza type cooker conveyor? (The kind you put them in one end, they come out on the other). The office has been looking for some place different to have lunch in the Georgetown area because we have basically eaten at the majority of the establishments worth eating at in the area. It was time to find a place we haven't been to and Ziffle's fit the bill! A fellow co-worker suggested this place, but also warned that it has been a hit and miss the last few times he has been there. What kind of Yelper would I be if I passed up an opportunity to try a new place? Anyway, I'm glad that I had lunch here and will do so again (and again). The owners seem like very friendly people and our server was nice enough and I really like the cozy atmosphere however, the food is mediocre at best. Tonight I had the pulled pork sandwich and my husband had the grinder. His grinder was extremely dry and had no sauce on it and lacked flavor. My pulled pork itself was ok but the French bread it was on was hard and rubbery and the barbecue sauce, which comes either mild, medium, or hot, is just awful in my opinion. Couldn't be more dysfunctional! The brunette working the front desk Saturday night 3-12-21 at 8:30 needs to be retrained. She sounds like a broken record repeating the same lie to each customer that walks in. "The table in the corner is open just waiting for people to leave." This place is recommended to us. We went there and noticed that the waitress didn't actually have any care to give customer service. But it was cool because we really wanted to try their food so we didn't care about that. The dollar beers came in plastic beer Steins that were kind of gross and scratched up so they looked really dirty. When we received our food our fries actually were black and they were hollow sounding when they hit the table. Our wings were dry and they were not hot at all; they were very sugary even though we ordered medium heat.(waitress said that would be very hot). We ordered a platter I don't recall the name but it was $22 with fries wings mozzarella sticks and poppers. It came with fries that were black but because the lighting in the room is red you can't tell they're black until use your cell phone white. Two mozzarella sticks to poppers and I believe it was four or six wings that were actually not hot at all and very dry. So we ended up wasting 90% of our meal She never came to check on us. She was too busy on Instagram talking about her friend who had a baby with another table next to us the whole time. We ended up leaving separately because there was two of us there. I walked out first and left after paying the bill and leaving a zero tip and then when my boyfriend left somebody else said was everything OK and he said no it doesn't matter anyways we already paid the bill. And nothing was said like oh how can we make this a better experience. Excellent food! Me, my husband, and his friend all went out to celebrate new jobs and caught them on a quiet night. Our waitress was friendly enough but seemed to become frazzled through the evening, being very quick in her interactions with us but not really rude. We had the Pig Out Platters and a half order of the cheesy fries with pulled pork. The wings were stellar, the poppers crazy fresh, and the ribs & pulled pork rivalled the BBQ we had in Houston, TX on our honeymoon! You know what Yelp? I am "a fan". While heading out of the Fort (and trying to scour the local Kroger for some awesome deals) my fiance and I decided to grab a quick bite before heading back to the motherland (i.e. Chicago). And of course, we checked out their Yelp Rating on my app before even considering stopping in. While the exterior is dive-y (they have a statue of a hog outside... but it's missing both of it's ears -- so it actually took us a minute to figure out what animal it was...) the interior dining area was actually quite nice. (The bathrooms though, not so much.) I had their Rib Tip Lunch Special, and Andy had their Sandwich of the Day Lunch Special (Which was a Pork Sandwich). While I LOVED the Rib Tips (Super Moist, meaty, tender, and well sauced) Andy did not enjoy his singular slice of "deli-ham" on a giant mediocre roll.
