Was in the area and decided to stop in for a quick dinner. Hadn't been here in a while and was blown away by the food and service, so thar will now change. Casey, the host, got us waters and menus while we waited and made us feel like friends right away. Abby, the bartender, but our server for the evening was PHENOMENAL. She answered our million questions, gave wonderful suggestions, and didn't miss a beat, all while having a full bar! To top it off Bill, the manager, swung by at the end of the night and personally invited us back in. He brought us a sample of the guac and gave us suggestions for next time. Always a great local place to meet some friends or grab a bite or watch a game. Good food, good beer selection, plenty of drinks and margaritas. Locally owned by the brothers that have brought us craft street kitchen's. They have lots of appetizers to choose from, my favorite being the chicken avocado Sun roll. They call them selves California coastal cuisine, definitely a type of fusion going on. But with a wide variety from burgers and sandwiches to really good salads, to your tacos and burritos and other handhelds, then you have your fajitas which of course you can do Cali style. Really unique monthly specials, and they also do different types of bowls ETc. So you really have a variety where you will always find something that sounds good! Zim Zari's was amazing! We had a celebration with 50 guests. After looking around we found Zim Zari, reviews and others recommended them highly. The celebration was last minute, so I reached out to the catering team. They were amazing to work with, asked questions and allowed me the opportunity to use their website for our order, or after conversation complete it through email. This was perfect, they gave us a quote that met our needs and allowed us the opportunity to adjust what we saw fit. Anglea was great to work with through out the set up of our order. The delivery went smoothly and they were kind enough to assist on how in making it presentable and ensuring we had everything. The food was the overall winner! They crushed it, everyone loved it, the Avo/ Buffalo rolls were a huge hit! Everything was delicious. The in house made corn tortillas were magnificent, queso was creamy with just enough spice, and it made the celebration that much more special that we did not have to be concerned about the food. I just moved to the area from Long Island, where I used to go to Zim Zari. Long story short, stopped going there because the food went down hill. Decided to give the one here a chance and highly exceptional service and food. Our waitress was Deanna and she was attentive, we had chips on our table as we were sitting everything was perfect. The food was out of this world. I got the short rib tacos and the cheeseburger one and completely forgot to take pictures before I ate because I couldn't wait to dig in. The Buffalo egg rolls were delicious as well with their cilantro ranch. The ranch was so good I even used it to dip my chips in. Best spot!!! read more

I have to say this by far is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time, I came across it by chance. The atmosphere is artistically perfection and it has such a Cali vibe it's great !!!! They have an amazing drink the cucumber jalapeño margarita it is to die for, I had 2. Why 4 stars? Let's be clear, this is a 4.5 and a second visit May push it over the edge. Chips, Salsa and queso to start were decent and addictive. I can make a meal off chips usually, the weakness to my superpower. Kids tried the chicken tacos and chicken rice bowl. Both were good and they are most of it. For a side they had the apples and caramel dip. How can you go wrong with that. Lunch and dessert! We had the house margarita which was decent but small for the price. I had tacos with Mongolian beef and one shrimp. Shrimp was spicy and had avocado to add a creamy texture. The Mongolian Beef was great and a must try when you come. We will be back to try more as there were some that sounded good but I got full :) read more

Food met expectations, as advertised and from previous experiences. Tex-Mex/Cali-Mex style food. We ordered the lettuce leaf wrap dish, fajitas Cali-style and the lettuce provided was too small. The restaurant is clean and with a nice style. At the time we went it was getting busy at about 6pm. We were seated without a wait outside. Inside would have been noiser and probably a longer wait to be seated. The server, Zac was very, very nice! He forgot a few things but he corrected everything that he could swiftly. He forgot our guac order completly. Tat was fine. It was his suggestion to order it and he didn't charge us for it either. We didn't mind. I lived in Pasco years ago and all of the nurses used to meet here after work. Being familiar, I decided to stop in with the family while we were back in the area. It's just not the same ... I remember the flavors being really bold and fresh, a Mexi-Cali type of menu, but it's been really white washed, even more so than this type of food already is. Maybe they're trying to appeal more to the patrons of the area? We were there for taco Tuesday, which tacos being a large portion of their menu regular menu, should've been hot and fresh right? Not the case. The fried fish tacos -- the fried fish was either over cooked the first time, or dropped into the grease a second time before serving, but it was dry, and somehow cold, while the tomato that topped it was warm, and the slaw was just shredded cabbage. We got two children's meals, one cheese quesadilla served with fries, fries were cold, and limp, and the chicken and rice bowl, partially cooked crunchy rice, covered in ranch? maybe? It was just loaded with a cream sauce and you couldn't taste anything else. My child ate the apple slices only, and she's a give me seconds on the rice and beans kinda gal. The Queso appetizer was melted white American, I honestly was surprised there wasn't anything else in it, tomato, pepper, nothing. The sun rolls were the best thing we tried, which is their take on a cali-chicken burrito but inside of an eggroll wrapper and fried. It's served with a citrus dip which did contrast the fry nicely. The sun dried tomato in it was chewy though. All around food experience was just not good, and for (4) of us to eat and totaling over $100 I just can't justify ever going back. I will say, our waitress was very nice and checked on us frequently. She made the experience bearable, and without her hospitality, my rating would've been lower. read more

We really love this place. My husband is always wanting to go, and although it is a bit of a drive from Hudson, we make the trip every so often so he can enjoy the tacos. A cantina California style restaurant, we have enjoyed a few different dinners here. The Mr Mcobbie was the most recent (warning the bacon is rolled in some spices that unfortunately I am allergic to) meal along with tacos and the peanut butter pie. Our waitress, Kirsten, was outstanding! Took great care, as was manager Joshua, who did everything right with the allergy. No bad feelings on our part... we will be back... the food is fantastic! This spot was recommended by my sister and brother in law. Food was good and on time as we put in an order online and picked up. Needed something semi quick and we were in the plaza already. The Buffalo chicken egg rolls were great. Downside of getting to-go is they aren't crunchy anymore so I'd imagine at the restaurant, they'd be Amazing. The bacon cheeseburger tacos were my first choice because well I love cheeseburgers. But I actually enjoyed the Pig and chips taco better. Which worked out great because my husband really enjoyed the cheeseburger ones. I did not try the burrito but my husband says it was good. Lol it looked delicious when we brought it home. Each dish came with a side so we got rice and cous cous. The rice was for my son, he had no review on it, but he ate it so I'd say he liked it. Lol he's 9 months old. My husband loved the cous cous. All in all we will go back to eat at the restaurant or order out for taco nights. The decor definitely reminded me of California and gave off that vibe when I went in to get the food. Had high hopes for Zim Zari however at the beginning of our service we were not waited on until 15 or so minutes passed, once Carissa came out she delivered excellent customer service. It did seem as though they were understaffed, we had chips and salsa for an app as well as a burger and the Avacado egg roll which ended up being mainly flavorless and burnt to a crisp. Taco Tuesday @ Zim Zari is where it's at! Taco's on the special menu are between $2-$4 a piece. There are many awesome taco's to choose from- my favorites being the Mongolian Beef $3.50 (filet mignon, scallions, red peppers, garlic, snowpeas, sesame seeds and sauce) It's light and fresh. Perfect for lunch. My other must-have while here is the Surf & Turf $3.50 (grilled shrimp, filet mignon, chipolte-pesto sauce, jack cheese and the best part.... crispy onion straws!!! Oh, how light and crispy they are!!! My mouth is watering just talking about it right now. I will continue to go back again and again. I just love this lunch spot!!! read more

I've been going here since it opened and it's consistently good service and good food. But the blackboard specials the last couple months have been excellent. Tonight we ordered the duck tacos and the wagu cheeseburger tacos. Both were great. But the appetizer tostada with shisito peppers was outstanding. Several months ago the blackboard special was short ribs which were perfectly cooked and the best meal I'd ever had at zim zari. Wish it was on the regular menu. If you haven't been here in awhile, try it again. read more
