We had the Steak and Mushroom Quesadilla and the steak practically melts in your mouth. The Tandori Chicken Tacos had fresh and bright flavors. The Mongolian Wok with Fried Steak was superb! My friend Suzanne and I got out of work late with little to eat during our 13 hrs worked. We made it here 2 mins before the kitchen was closed. It was my first time here and I thought; Great! I had been wanted to try this resto for awhile. I was working all day on Christmas Eve & I came in about 20 mins & the kitchen was already closed. Christine the host was so sweet. The jerk chicken tacos and Mongolian beef tacos are still my favs. I will easily order 6 tacos just because they are that good. But my one pet peev is that they are NOT cooking/prepping the corn tortillas. They are serving them up, cold, right out of the bag. Without a light fry up in oil, these things are crumbling to pieces. My chicken tinga tacos had catastrophic blow outs and my other jerk chicken and Mongolian tacos were barely holding together at their second-line defense tortilla. Please. Please. Please. We come here for dinner during happy hour as often as possible. It is our new go to restaurant before we go to Big Storm brewery. I am enjoying a Kona IPA and my wife is of course having Bishop's Bride from Big Storm. Go Cali style and get your taco or fajitas with lettuce wraps. Just had lunch here with family. We had heard if this place but finally stopped in. We loved it. Very friendly staff and they were quick to ask had we been there before and proceeded to tell us everything. Great job by them. Started with the three sampler of margaritas. Excellent. Nice start with very good chips and salsa. Put the salsa on everything it was so good. Their amber beer was awesome. Had the Sunburnt steak burrito. Nice cut of steak, no fat at all. Also had one of the handcrafted tacos. Barbacoa-short rib. Holy cow it was so very flavorful. A lot of food but all very very good. They even gave us a coupon for a free appetizer for our next visit. Came here for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. I wasn't very impressed with this place. The food is average at best. Not disgusting but just "meh." I could take it or leave it and this would no let be my first choice. I had three types of tacos (fish, beef and chicken) and none of them impressed me. Th free chips and salsa is nice though though the salsa takes kinda sweet. If this is your last resort try it - but otherwise there are far better places to eat. I had tacos witch were awesome, and the fresh drinks are refreshing. Food poisoning WARNING! My family and I have been coming here for years. We have always gotten good food and service, notice I didn't say great. We occasionally had a great server and food but that was rare, mostly it was just good and consistent. That all changed last night, amazing how one event can kill 30-40 good visits. Our server was the worst we have ever had there. At about 5:30 she goes and sits down to roll silverware, kind of an odd shift change time. We waited for at least 20-25 mins and the whole time I was turned around in my chair which should have told someone something. The management even went around checking on people at their table but when he got close to us he turned away. I was about to even go up to the hostess but after being ignored by the manager I figured what's the point! Anyway it took forever to get drinks and order desert. This isn't the worst part at all. 4-6 hours later both my wife and I started getting bad stomach cramps. We ordered the same dish Baja Chicken burritos so immediately we starting putting things together. It was warm not hot and tasted slightly off, shouldn't have even ate as much as we did of them. Last night was one of the worst nights I've had in awhile and I cannot remember the last time I have gotten this sick! If we have to wonder whether or not we are going to get sick as hell to eat here I think we will just be avoiding ZimZari's all together! Update: My 3 year old didn't eat her food so we brought it home. Reheated it and put it on her little table for her to eat. Turns out our Golden Doodle ate it and guess what! He got sick and had diarrhea so there's absolutely no doubt the chicken at ZimZari's was or is bad or mishandled. read more

Wife had the spicy Thai wok bowl, And that was equally amazing. We each had a draft beer that set our food off nicely. Great service and great ambiance to make you feel you're somewhere tropical. We both ordered the Zim Zara Burrito and first of all they are HUGE! Both of our burritos came out just warm inside. They apologized and remade ours to our hot liking. What was way above and beyond was Arlene one of the Managing partners came over to apologize. Not only did she apologize she explained why our meat and rice and beans were just warm. They use fresh cold lettuce, tomato, and guacamole when they build the burrito so when it's wrapped up the rest of the insides cool down fast. In any case they remade them and they were piping hot inside. Needless to say the burritos were amazing. Never had a bad meal there.
