Severely inconsistent communication overshadowed my service experience I dropped my vehicle off on December 31, and as of January 12, it is still not completed. While I understand that EV and high voltage recall work can take time, the real issue here has been persistent, conflicting, and inaccurate communication from the service department. Throughout this process, I was repeatedly told to plan on picking the car up during the day and that work was actively being performed. However, I could see through the Audi app that the vehicle remained locked, parked outside, and untouched for over eight days, directly contradicting what I was being told. This made it very difficult to know what information was accurate and what was not. I was also informed that a critical part would be arriving on Monday, only to later find out that the parts department had not even been contacted at that point, and that there was a 24-hour waiting period before the part would ship once the request was actually submitted. Had this been communicated honestly from the beginning, I could have planned accordingly instead of being repeatedly given unrealistic expectations. To be clear, the technicians themselves and the complexity of the repair are not my concern. I understand high-voltage EV work requires strict procedures. The frustration comes from being told one thing, seeing another, and then later being given a completely different explanation. I do want to specifically recognize Jordan, who assisted me with obtaining a loaner vehicle. He was professional, transparent, and genuinely helpful one of the few bright spots in an otherwise stressful experience. I returned for another service visit related to a sunroof water intrusion issue and a service. Unfortunately, the experience again involved inconsistent communication and changing diagnoses. I was initially told the sunroof required a repair, later informed the repair had already been completed previously, and then told the issue was due to ice buildup after multiple days of inspection. I often had to reach out myself for updates, and even the service reminder reset for the service was missed initially and only corrected after I followed up. On a prior visit, the vehicle was returned to me with the rear seat not properly secured, which required an additional return for correction -- a concerning safety issue. The vehicle is currently functioning properly, but the overall service experience did not feel well-managed, and I had to be more involved than expected to ensure items were addressed correctly. Especially having to drive back and forth 45 min to this dealer. I really feel mis treated. read more

They had me drive over a hour. Then tried to charge me a lot more than quoted for the same service. Then informed me they need to keep the car overnight! I needed my car for work. So it was a waste of my day I drove home with no work done!! read more

Best of the best when it comes to Luxury car dealers. Was in a bad spot last week with mechanical trouble with my audi which is an older model. I live in chicago and the car trouble happened in madision, WI. Zimbrick audi took my car in, put me to the front of the line and got the part (which they had to order) and install done in 24 hours. Gave me a no charge loaner and let me take it out of state to chicago... . Unreal service and friendly staff -- Shelbi and Will in service are shining. Visited with Zimbrick Mercedes to get a new car. Ended up finding a used mercedes but due to a technical issue with the particular vehicle which was no fault of the dealer, I got a car somewhere else. Despite not ending up with the car, the sales process was easy, flawless, pressure free, and fast. This dealership is the complete opposite of the stereotypical sleazy car buying experience. I believe they genuinely are interested in making the process easy with ZERO pressure or games... The customer service is outstanding. My sales agent - Patrick Muranyi is highly recommended. Knowledgeable, professional and VERY easy to work with. Answers all questions, works quickly and makes the process fast and painless. MAN! What a great experience! It began as bad news, as my Benz would not start. It was in storage for the winter, and when I went to warm it up it showed "key not recognized"- this presented all sorts of problems. How do I get the car fixed, if I can't get it to the shop? I'm not even sure I could get it into neutral to tow it. I called Zimbrick service and spoke with Kenny and Steve. They helped to troubleshoot the problem over the phone and arranged to get me a new key. THEY ALSO VOLUNTEERED TO DELIVER THE KEY TO ME. Are you freaking serious!?!? A house call in 2017??? You get what you pay for. Yes, on the whole, Audi's are not cheap. But when you purchase, there is an expectation that the service you receive is commiserate. And with Zimbrick, this is the case. The service team is always responsive. There have been a few times when they just had me come in so they can review without a charge. The waiting area is well stocked and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone to Zimbrick if they are interested in purchasing an Audi. read more

I purchased my Mercedes from Zimbrick 2 years ago now, and as you can expect from a quality car brand, I have had no issues. Derek in sales did a great job helping me pick out my perfect car and has continued to be a good resource when I have questions. I've completed both my 10,000 mile and 20,000 mile service at Zimbrick European with no issues. I've found them to be courteous and helpful with my vehicle and have nothing but nice things to say about their service and my interactions with Sam the maintenance guy. I will be continuing to bring my car here as it ages and needs more work and I certainly hope that Zimbrick European will meet the standards that I've seen thus far and not fit with the poor reviews that others have posted. We purchased an E430 from this dealership. While we were excited, we also know that we won't stay in the car forever and were thinking to the future when we'd want a change. Our salesperson swore up and down that any Zimbrick would give us a great deal on a trade. After all, this was a certified car we were buying. Fast forward three years, and we were ready for a change. We were looking to get a new GTI from Zimbrick VW. Despite blue book being between $9000 and $11000 trade value, they offered us $3000 and wouldn't budge!! We tried to contact our previous salesperson here at European to ask for a little backup, but they couldn't be bothered. They made their sale and had long since forgotten their empty promises. We went to Havill in Jefferson and got a Jeep. They gave us $10500 for our Mercedes without batting an eye. The entire Zimbrick group simply is awful. I'm leasing a Smart Car from Zimbrick European. I just passed the one-year mark in March (of a 3-year lease) and only have 10K miles on it. On June 5 I drove the car from Dodgeville to Madison and it chugged the entire way horribly. It had no power, could barely get up little gentle hills and wouldn't go into 5th gear. It nearly died every time I slowed for a stop light. It was a white knuckle drive the entire way. I had the car towed to the dealership on June 10 and luckily they gave me a loaner. They called me on Monday and told me they couldn't replicate the symptoms I experienced, but the computer in the car said cylinder 1 had problems and they would continue to try to make the problem happen again. They just called me now - on June 15 - to say they couldn't duplicate the problem so that's that. Well, isn't that nice? Now I get to drive an unreliable car for nearly 2 more years. Why can't they replace cylinder 1? The computer said it had a problem. Can't wait to get out this lease. Would LOVE to go car-free. I don't recommend the Smart Car. I don't recommend leasing. And I certainly don't recommend Zimbrick European in Madison, WI. read more

I have taken my 2010 Audi A7 in two times. The first time was for a coolant flush. Zimbrick let me bring in my own coolant, granted it was Audi spec G12 and they would have put the same stuff in anyways and my own coolant flange which was leaking and only charged me an hour for labor. I left a happy customer. Today I brought my car back in and had my valve cover gasket replaced, which was leaking oil for a long time. They gave me 25$ labor off because I of an email they sent me and also cleaned up my engine, replaced a vacuum hose and also put some screw clamps on my PCV hose, which I think was slightly loose and griming up my engine. That was a pleasant surprise when I opened my hood after and found that they went above and beyond. Also They perform an inspection on the car and also wash it. You can take your car in here knowing with confidence that Zimbrick Audi will do a good job. read more

Very poor customer service! My first experience was when I had a spare tire issue. They called when it was ready. I get there and there is no one to help me with it! The young girl at the reception desk had to come out in her dress clothes to help me get it in the trunk! The current issue has to do with an airbag recall. Twice I have made appointments to get it fixed and each time they have given the part away to someone else who schedules an appointment before me! They put me on a waiting list after the first time but never called me. I called two months later to check, and lo and behold they had the part but never bothered to call me. So I made an appointment and surprise! They gave the part away again to someone else before my appointment! I'm supposedly on a waiting list again, but I will be calling on a regular basis to check, then make an appointment ASAP when one comes in. They are the only dealer in area so they can get away with this. Makes me not want to buy an Audi again. I had a Volvo before and their customer service was amazing! read more

We don't live in Madison, and our experience with the two Audi dealers where we live has been ok but nothing like this. Everyone went out of their way to help us while we needed a new headlight during a road trip. My Audi A6 went in to replace the airbag. I got it back with a deep chip in my windshield and a couple of vents are blowing hot air when the AC is on. Zimbrick has failed to return my calls concerning these problems. read more

I did not buy my Mercedes at Zimbrick. Most reviewers have bought from them. I think not buying from them may lead to them giving poor service. It took over two weeks just to get an appointment. I waited for the car in the service area. Everyone had a service advisor giving them an update on their car, except me. I did not hear anything till I went to get the car. Then, when the car maintenance was finished, I had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes. When I asked why, they said they lost the paperwork. Yes, I must be that lucky guy to be the only one who they lost paperwork and had additional waiting time. If you take your car to them maybe you will be lucky and get competent service. Better/best chance if you bought from them. Otherwise not so much. read more

Was going to Buy a Smart car at this dealership. Couldn't find anyone to help us. We bought a smart car in Minneapolis. 4 months later wanting to buy parts for my smart car (new heater fan motor) even though there website says there open till 6pm they are not. We arrived today 2/8/13 a 537pm sorry were closed. We drove 1.5 hours from Oshkosh to get the part and there closed.... Had to get a hotel room for the night so thats another $100 out the tube. There is no working with these folks. There customer service is terrible!!! I will now buy my parts from the Smart dealerships in Chicago and get it serviced at Bergstroms Fiat in Milwaukee. Update: Went in Today. Tony the Smart Manager was super helpful. We talked about our flustrations. He put in the blower motor for us. So we didn't have to go to Milwaukee. He agrees the parts departments needs some help/ He understood our flustrations. read more

I was driving through Madison WI, when I had an issue that required my SUV to remain on their property for 6 days, but the representative original quoted me 4days. Zimbrick Audi could not accommodate any of those days with a loaner. The representatives stated to me that they did not have any loaners for a walk-in customer. My children and I was basically stranded with no car until I found a rental. Not only did I have to pay Audi, I also had to pay the on the backend with a rental. I would definitely say you're screwed as a walk-in with Zimbrick Audi dealership. Never have an Audi dealership been so unaccommodating and Audi should have some shame that they represent their name. read more

Bought my 2016 Smart from Scott Warren. Great salesman. When i walked in I saw a Smart 1st Edition (which before we got there I had told my husband I didnt want the white panels with orange cell) and thought it was beautiful. Once I sat in it I felt like it was my car. BUT i still checked out every new Smart on the lot and their inventory list. About 3 hours. Scott even had a car sent over from somewhere else. In the end to my husbands dismay I bought the 1st edition that I fell in love with when I walked in the door. Most salesmen who are good at their jobs will try hard to make the sale and Scott went above and beyond. Where I usually run into trouble is the financing person usually tries to trick me. Julie in finance wasn't like that at all. She got me the 0% 72 months financing like they offered and like she said she would. They gave me good incentives and seemed to be honest and fair. I am very happy I drove 120 miles to buy my car there and if I ever buy another Smart I will buy it from Zimrick. I can only hope service is as good.
