Because why not!) anyway, she was in desperate need of some TLC & deep inside/outside cleaning. I was very happy to see that BMW of Madison had the very thing I was looking for. First person I spoke to was Henry...he is so nice, helpful, polite and he set me up an appointment to bring Pearl in for her "Spa Day" I recommend bringing your car in the night before as they have a drop box where you can safely leave your information and keys so your car is there first thing and does not delay the cleaning schedule for the day. Pearl was at BMW of Madison pretty much most of the day and it was totally worth it. She was clean and sparkly inside and out!! Due to a little hiccup on the service side, they upgraded my package for the inconvenience (of which I totally appreciated!!!) In a word, dishonest. Car dealers have a history of dishonesty - it's a cliche really. I purchased two cars from this BMW dealer. The first interaction was quite excellent. Then, they lured me with an email offering an upgrade to a certified used BMW 530xe. I made the jump. After about two weeks of driving the car, I noticed that the rear passenger door color did not match the rest of the car. Upon further inspection there was overspray behind the fuel door indicating after-market painting. This dealership presented me a clean Carfax showing no accidents or repairs of any kind. I confronted them with the problem. After many heated back-and-forth emails one of which outright insulted me, the customer, they agreed to repaint the door. They did a terrible job and got more overspray behind the fuel door. I asked the body shop whether a dealership would notice this. They said, "given their expertise and that they would have inspected the car, there would be no way they couldn't have known." At one point I said "you sold me a car claiming a clean Carfax, when you knew full well that there was damage on this car." To which they responded "you still have a clean Carfax." In other words, just join in our dishonesty and lie to the next person like we lied to you. It's now four years later and I'm preparing to sell the car. It had some minor nicks on the bumper so I took it to a BMW certified body shop to clean that up. They quickly informed me that most of the rear passenger side quarter panel is Bondo. The fuel refill door was GLUED on. In other words, there was substantial damage to the car that BMW of Madison (formerly Zimbrick) failed to disclose. Will never do business here again. read more

I was sold a beautiful 750i, I was told it was in great shape with a normal amount of wear & tear & rock chips. That is all good, no issues, used car, I GET IT. But now after 3 months of adding air every few days & only 2,000 miles put on. I brought it to Alloy Wheel Company who just sent me a photo of my front passenger wheel that has broken weld covering a crack in the wheel. THIS CAR WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE, NOT SAFE TO BUY. MY WIFE IS 32 WEEKS PREGNANT & THANK GOODNESS THE WELD HASNT GIVEN OUT YET. How does this pass a BMW store? I didn't shop at some hole in the wall place, I went to Madison BMW. I am not happy with my experience. How did it not leak air sitting on a show floor for 6 months. But I have to add air every 3 days..... By the way, Patrick promised me tires passed inspection with a tire date of 39week or 2021. TIRES WERE ORGINAL WITH 52,000 miles on them. THIS IS WRONG. I DROVE 248 miles 1 way & was promised a solid car that is not so solid. They put me together & will put you together the same. I had a terrible experience at BMW of Madison. Their pricing is outrageously high--300-400% more than what other reputable shops quoted me for the same work. On top of that, they tried to convince me I needed repairs that multiple other mechanics have confirmed are completely unnecessary. Feels like a blatant attempt to upsell or try to get me to trade in my car for a car on their lot. When I declined service, the service advisor took forever to get my car back to me, adding unnecessary frustration to an already bad experience. This is in regard to an alignment I requested of Zimbrick BMW of Madison 8/25/2023. Do not trust Zimbrick. Deceitful. Fraudulent. Greedy. Zimbrick lied to me about performing requested work on my car. Zimbrick fraudulently charged me as if they did the work. Then Zimbrick flipped the script and said if I agreed to $9,000 in recommended repairs they would agree to perform the original requested work for free. Zimbrick told me they aligned my car, but didn't actually adjust anything. And when I asked to see the before & after alignment specs, they wouldn't share them with me. Charged me$164 for an alignment they didn't perform and didn't have any evidence of performing. Customer "disservice" department did not call me to tell me the repairs are complete; I called 3 times to get the status of my vehicle, noon, afternoon and evening. Finally they called and claimed "your vehicle is ready." Wouldn't share with me the before/after alignment specs, instead said, "If you agree to pay for the other inspection findings, Zimbrick charged me $164 for an alignment...but didn't align it, didn't even adjust anything. They didn't tell me they didn't align it when I paid their full price invoice. Just charged me and sent me home! But they were sure to include their free inspection in which they "recommended repairs based on their multi-point inspection service." I asked for the alignment before & after specs (all alignment machines store them.) Zimbrick alignment mechanic took my complaint and consulted with his team; head mechanic, service manager and front desk. They admitted to him that they returned the vehicle out of spec. And he still did not offer up any of the before/after specs. I said that isn't right, and asked what they are going to do about it - my car was still out of alignment. They offered to line their pocket at my expense. They said they would give me a "FREE ALIGNMENT" if I agreed to their "recommended repairs" which added up to $8,893 (oil pan replacement $3,538, struts & cambers $2,694, brakes pads & rotors $1,060, 2 tires and balance and mount $917). Zimbrick returned a customer vehicle knowingly out of alignment, knowing that they didn't adjust anything, and charged the customer as if an alignment had been performed. Despicable, deceitful and dishonest. Deceit, lies and dishonesty are not new for Zimbrick. I've never heard of that before, until I read other reviews online - they've done this to other people. "After" they lied to me and charged me, then they said I needed to pay for their recommended repairs in order to guarantee an alignment (that they lied to me about the first time). I drove to my hometown mechanic and he did the alignment for $170. Now the car drives straight and true. read more

Stopped in to look at a Tesla and were horrified at the how we were treated ( though not surprised since this is a BMW dealership) the salesperson (if you wanna call him that) Kory, gave us the Tesla card and walked away. What a jerk! Did not even show us how to open the car, turn it on, etc. we figured it out and drove the car and decided maybe it was the one. Kory did not know anything about the car and told us "I don't know" several times without even trying to look up the information. Not only did he not know...anything...he has zero interest in looking any information up. The icing on the cake was his cocky smirk and comment about the EV tax break (the car was priced over the $25k threshold) "we're not going to lower the car $500 just so you can save $4k. Had my BMW serviced recently here for an oil change and a check for alignment after I had a close encounter with a snow bank. The staff here are extremely friendly and got my car back to me the same day. It's one of those encounters that you drop your car off, discuss concerns with the service rep, get a call several laters to come pick up your car - receive the nice detailed sheet, pay the bill and drive off in your freshly washed and serviced BMW. Very long but worth the read. I recently got a great deal on a 2015 GT and wanted to get a full diagnostic from a reputable location. I went into zimbrick bmw on Oct 19th and it was an overall decent experience but the interactions felt forced and the diagnostic alone ran me just short of 500 bucks. I was told my blower needed replacing and I requested the replacement of a back taillight as well. I was able to set up an appointment for the repairs for Nov 07 (A bit far if you ask me) and was looking forward to the scheduled repairs. The morning of Nov 07 I dropped off my GT and was told the repair of my blower and a tail light should be completed by end of day (6pm). Later that day I receive a phone call from a stacy explaining how several bolts that are needed for my blower were actually not readily available to the mechanics and an order would have to be placed for said bolts. Postponing the repair until the following day (Nov 8). Extremely unprofessional and unorganized to not have all components for any repair let alone a repair that's been scheduled almost a full month in advance but I digress. So now the repair would be expected to be completed by end of the next day...again. Nov 8th comes and no communication between zimbrick and I has been initiated until nearly a few hours before they close. Stacy called again and I was told that there was good news and bad news. I asked for the bad news first and was informed that my vehicles automatically closing trunk, had been shut so aggressively (had to be done manually) by an employee that the back window had "exploded". I was and still am highly upset, disappointed, and confused how such a company would hire mechanics, so negligent and unknowledgeable that a mistake like this could occur. Infuriatingly, the good news was that I did not have to pay for the replacement of my window, so gracious of them. I was told a new window would not be here in Madison until the following Friday so now my simple repair and replacement of a blower and back taillight like which was estimated to be completed within 12 hours is now extended into a full week. There was certainly unsurety in the saleswoman's words and no confidence that this would actually be resolved by the following Friday. This entire experience has been inconvenient to say the least. I would NEVER suggest this location ever to anyone. Much safer to get a diagnostic here but absolutely no repairs. read more

Long time BMW owner and this dealership not up to BMW standards. Service department poor. Last two visits the issues were not addressed. Usually contacted when car is due for service. I had to call this time. On hold for extended time then told over 3 week wait to get in. I work outside of Madison and I was told no loaner cars any more. So it would be almost impossible for me to get service. They said I need to wait the 1-2 hours for the service. This dealership continues to go down hill and unfortunately is the only local choice. BMW of North American should step in and bring this dealership to the standard BMW level. After a long 2 hour drive, Zimbrick was my first stop for looking at a used X5. I usually do business with Perillo BMW or Bergstrom but gave Zimbrick a chance. I definitely will be staying with the dealers I know from now on. Both me and My Dad have X5's and are not new to buying BMW's and dealing with salesman. I Wasn't able to make a deal with Luis because, he was very forward with how he wanted everything to go down. He insisted that before we even go inside that I have to be 100% ready to buy the car that very day if we wanted him to ask the GM for a better offer. We started off asking for 1,500 off and was happily waiting for a counteroffer. (Keep in mind the car had scratches in the rear and front) The GM was just taking off a couple hundred at this point. We shot back a counter and Louis had smart comments on our offers every time he came back. The car was priced at almost 27,600 with 45k Mi my last offer was 26,500. Luis constantly questioned me saying my offers had no logic and that i should go with the X5 with almost 100k miles that was severely scratched up on all ends since it was cheeper. He later said we were asking for "too much" by asking if the car could be driven to me. I told him that it doesn't hurt to ask a question and that I don't want the dealer to lose money nor am I comfortable with the prices they were giving me. Louis lastly came to us and said Good luck and that he hopes we find the car were looking for. 20min later he texts me saying he can do 26,800. Least to say BMW Zimbrick lost the chance to sell the X5 even if they gave me my asking price just based on how Luis communicated the offers in place to me. Luis didn't really care since he said he still gets a "cut from selling the car" which showed a lot at the moment. I never seen a more weak salesman at a BMW dealer, and I have been to a lot of BMW dealers in NA AND EUROPE. Please train staff on how to negotiate respectfully, he was talking about 1,000 dollars like it was 20 bucks when he wanted me to come up with my pricing. But when I asked him to reduce the price he thought we didn't have logic in our pricing. Took my business elsewhere and finished a deal with my other dealer 2 hours after I left this one. I've waited since June 2022 for a part and called today (after several calls) to find out the part is now available for installation. It's Nov. 28, 2022. When I was transferred to service to schedule the part installation, they didn't know what they needed to install. Very frustrated. I have a conflicted relationship with Zimbrick BMW service. High on my list of unpleasant things in life are car repairs. I hate when I must take my vehicle in for service but I am drawn to only do it at Zimbrick BMW. Zimbrick loves me for the many dollars that I spend there and enables my codependent behavior through their professional service. Surely, they know that I cannot resist their professional, prompt, thorough and quality service all delivered in a spacious, clean and amenity stocked facility. My primary antagonist - - my professional service advisor Matt Hoffman - - always plays to my need for thorough answers, good advice and valuable information. The initial estimate always seems high but, after the work is performed and I am on my way, I always feel it was a value. I feel ashamed having ever doubted the value of the initial estimate. Even when service errors have been made, Zimbrick has been quick to correct them with immediate apology, without excuse, and without cost to me. Bravo. That type of professional responsibility is as addicting as any illegal drug, but much more rare. My vehicle is always delivered at the price promised or below and washed and parked in front for easy access. Complementary BMW loaner vehicles, excellent coffee and baked goods and free Wi-Fi are among their charms. On-line scheduling is also available. Oh that they would fail and I could tear myself away. But could I? Doubtful. I am a royal pain in the butt as my vehicle at this stage in its life - - like my figure - - needs constant attention. So Zimbrick must hate me, but still love me. I live in NJ and found my 2013 550GT at Zimbrick at the bmwusa.com/cpo website, a very hard car to find anywhere, and it was a CPO. Initially I said, no way, site unseen, no test drive. Here comes Jenny, she voluntarily gave me the inspection report, took videos, detailed photos, service records more than I can even get from local dealers I visited where I live, all to ease my fretting over buying from out of state. Always took my calls and responded in a jiffy. So I did it and Jenny made it so easy, the closing and even assisting to find a shipper to get the GT to NJ and in a week voila, car is here, pristine as it was video'd and photographed. Thank you Jenny! So that was in April, fast fwd a month later and NJ DMV was delayed in getting the title from BMW financial and so my 30day temp license plate from WI was set to expire. I would have gone with 0 stars if I could of. Had an appt today to buy a used car. Loan approved and everything ready to go. The salesman, Kory was about as rude as they come. I would of bought the car if he didn't open his "big Im better than you know it all disrespectful mouth". The guy literally tried talking sh*t to my brother while we were talking defects on the car e.i; fender and door jam didn't line up correctly, fender covers popping off etc etc. Car Had a few defects that weren't crazy major and I would of been able to overlook them. But when my bro who's been a mechanic for over 20yrs, has worked on anything from boats to cars to truck to motorcycles to forklifts starts explaining the process of what it'd cost, both monetarily and time wise to fix this issue, he asks "what dealer do you work for?" bro answers , "I don't work for a dealer, I'm a forklift mechanic" Kory then replies "oh so you're not really a mechanic" with 0 knowledge about his past experiences. The nerve on this p.o.s, I'm walking in here ready to spend over 40k on a car and you disrespect my bro like that? Sorry, but that's a pill can't swallow. Plain and simple. You don't disrespect my family or anyone else I walk into that dealer with. I try to take care of as much of the car-buying process as possible by email rather than mess around in dealerships for hours on end. Maybe I should stop trying to do this, because in my experience, car sales people are often terrible at email. They come up with all kinds of new and different ways to suck at email. I recently had the internet sales manager at another dealership, in response to me saying "I want to take care of as much as possible by email," tell me he prefers to talk on the phone. You're the INTERNET sales manager! Anyway, Jenny is a car sales person who knows how to use email. She is smart and competent and knows how to conduct business in a way that's, well, it's like any other normal business type interaction. Rolled into town on a Saturday night after driving 16 hours to get here. The car is dinging some nonsense about oil and coolant. Since a used car is less expensive than a brand new auto, I think I'd better give the green car a drink. In haste, I top off the coolant with some brand I purchased at the nearest gas station. Then the panic sets in. I grab the manual and search the forums on coolant for specific requirements for my maturing road beast. I think I put in the wrong kind of coolant. I keep reading about colors and brand specific benefits. I head to Zimbrick and Bryan is awesome and friendly and patient. He takes the coolant supply I have and checks it against the kind the service folks have in bulk. I'm good for the top off. No dangers. Then we talk oil and other road-preparedness details I should not skip. He grabs the oil grade I need, checks the levels, complements my ride and I prepare the wallet. I ask how much I owe. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!! I don't think Ive ever had a worst experience with a business. My husbands car needed a new battery and a new key. A job that was "going to take a week or two" took almost 3 months. Once the key and battery was replaced we were waiting to hear back from warranty to see if they could cover some of the other work the car needed. During this time mind you we were the ones calling back for updates. We were never contacted back with information. When we'd call and our service advisor they were almost always with a customer, we were never contacted the same day and we would leave messages, call back the next day and they would tell us that they received our message. Why were we not contacted back then? We picked up the car and did not have any one explain everything that was done and that still need done to the car. We paid we're handed our paper work and that was it. So the car was in the shop from about august 10th till about november 26th and the car just died about 4 days after picking it up with a brand new battery. I can truly say that i will never tell anyone to go here and warn everyone to stay away! read more

As for my experience I spent over a year researching the car I wanted. I only buy 1-2 year certified cars meaning I can't be too picky but I still wanted something with character. Most lease returns have few options and are white/black/silver exteriors with all black interiors. I wanted something unique that I connected with emotionally. I had my heart set on a Mercedes model but spent months looking at certified cars and couldn't find one with everything I wanted. I checked BMW on a whim and found a local low mileage certified almost fully loaded vehicle with Med Blue exterior and Night Blue interior. I knew vehicles with these options would be hard to come by so I wanted to act fast. A quick test drive later and I discovered technology that was vastly superior to the Mercedes I was looking at. We decided to go for it. Throughout our car search process we had some serious issues with one of the Client Advisors and strongly considered walking away from Zimbrick BMW forever. The issues themselves aren't relevant any more because of the way Zimbrick BMW dealt with the issues. I provided feedback the next day in-person to Griffin Roberts, New BMW Manager, and over e-mail to Andy LaBerge, General Manager. Both Griffin and Andy were attentive and responsive to my feedback. They apologized and thanked me for giving them a chance to make it right before taking care of the issue. I ended up finalizing my purchase that night and asked to be transferred to Tim Prost because he was genuinely friendly, personal, and professional with us even though we were past closing hours at this point. Since then Tim has made sure every step post-sale is taken care of. I know I'm in capable hands with Tim. I also met Service Advisor Stacy today who was friendly too even though I didn't have an appointment scheduled. Other than the one problematic Client Advisor, everyone else at Zimbrick BMW has been great to us and we're ecstatic we didn't give up on them. My advice is if you aren't being treated respectfully, take some time to gather your thoughts and go back in to provide feedback to one of the managers. Follow-up with Andy LaBerge if you didn't speak with him directly. They'll take care of it. We have limited dealership choices local in the Madison area but Zimbrick still prides themselves on top notch customer service. I was initially concerned they wouldn't take my feedback seriously but now that the issue is resolved, I can confidently recommend Zimbrick BMW to anyone now. read more

NEVER EVER LEASE FROM BMW. I leased a BMW i3 for 3 years covering a total of 12,500 miles. The car was in near perfect shape. I made an appointment to return the car. They promised a 15 minutes process. After waiting 45 minutes, they told me I owed them $1250 for body work (minor scratches - parking lot wear and tear at most) and a nebulous $350 lease termination fee. I contacted them about a BMW 435i and they got back to be immediately and delivered on everything I asked for including a CarFax, warranty information and a possible range for my trade in. Julianna was especially helpful and was quick to respond and come back with any and all information I needed. My fiancé and I decided against it and wanted to wait to summer to purchase something and we are pretty much sure that if they have a vehicle we want (I don't doubt they will, it will be a BMW 100%), we'll be going to Zimbrick in Madison even though were from Chicago, it's definitely worth it. read more

If I could give a negative -100 review I would! My husband and I just bought a second home in Madison and needed some snow tires. I called and negotiated prices with Chue, was quoted $345/tire. Higher than other places, however my husband wanted to establish a relationship with the BMW dealership. Check in- no one knows the tire price that Chue quoted, noted on the invoice. Needs need wipers as they are streaky. Car was supposed to be complete same day, then we receive a call saying they ran out of the fluid to do the alignment, will be called the next day when car is ready. At 3pm we call to check on car - oh, it's ready. My husband goes to pick up the car, pays the bill. All seems fine... until - We jump in the car. My husband says "new wipers " but the same streak is there ... hmm, they didn't replace them even though it was on the invoice: then I pull out the invoice to verify that it made the list, it did. BUT ... the tires were $364 instead of $345 each! Crooks, crooks, crooks! Oh and the paperwork says zimbrick hyundai .... I thought we went to the BMW dealer???! read more
