Seasoned rice, spicy chicken, masala sauce

Incredible service. I felt like a friend who they were feeding. Hari and Cava (I hope I spelled it right!) were the kindest and took their time with helping me find out what to eat. And once we got the food, oh my goodness. Wow. It tastes like my dad's homemade food when he spends all day cooking. There were a few moments in the meal when I wanted to cry. So much flavor, so warm, perfect textures of the chicken, the seasoned rice was beyond delicious. And then you get it all on this beautiful colorful plate. Next time, I'm bringing friends and getting their dumplings, which take about 10 min to heat up.

Located in a new shopping area, it's easy to drive by thinking stores are still under construction. They have two entrance/exit doors, streetside and parking lot side of a nice new building. Great that there's lots of free parking available! I arrived at 11 a.m. when the restaurant opened. The seats and tables were clean, the floor was spacious, and the decor was welcoming. They were rocking oldies on the musical Playlist at the time :) The customer service is fantastic! The employee behind the counter provided me with samples of the different sauces so I could make a better ordering decision. He also graciously explained the ingredients in the different "base" and proteins available for the curry bowl. I dined in and enjoyed every bite of the tofu veggie pulao with tikka sauce. The spicy tofu had a nice kick to it so I was glad to also try their refreshing almond milk beverage. Yum, that had a hint of saffron and small pieces of pistachio. I appreciate the level of professional conversation from the employee that served me today. He was knowledgeable about all the items they have and he was genuinely happy to serve a delicious meal and beverage. I'll return to try other menu items :)

food quality: 5/5 service: 5/5 cleanliness: 5/5 value: 5/5 Really great place fast and delicious Indian and Nepalese food! We felt welcomed the moment we walked in - the staff is always so nice. The food is fresh and our favorite item on the menu are the Chicken Momos - don't skip on them! Their curry bowls and appetizers are fantastic as well. Can't wait to go back and keep this in my normal food rotation!

Friendly Himalayan/Nepali fast food joint in Sandy has numerous combinations of tasty food for a scrumptious meal. You move down the line to construct your plate, customizing your order. Multiple proteins and sauces, plus you can add desserts (ex: gulab jamun) or drinks (ex: mango lassi). This place is locally owned and has very pleasant service. The owner, Kapil, will answer any questions you have and also make insightful suggestions based on your palate. Tip: don't be afraid to ask for samples because you get them. Kapil and staff are very eager to help you find your preferred combination of flavors and spiciness. Tip 2: if you want "momo" (Himalayan dumplings), order them before you go through the line. They take about 10 minutes to make, so you'll have them mostly cooked by the time your party orders and dishes are constructed.

Rating (maximum points = 5) Value for money: 5 - be sure to check if there is a Groupon deal. Cleanliness: 5 Food Quality: 3 Customer Service: 5 Look and Feel (Ambiance): 4 Thank you, Come Again?: 4 My party, and I were looking for a new place to eat just before an escape room activity. We saw that Groupon offered a deal for Zimbu and so we decided to try it out. The Groupon deal costed $16 for $25 worth of food. https://www.groupon.com/deals/zimbu-nepali-indian-cuisine We went on Halloween night when there was not a lot of customers in the restaurant. By the time we arrived, the food was well overcooked and have been sitting in the warmer stations for quite some time. I could tell that a lot of the meat and paneer was dried out and not very appetizing. Zimbu's serving style reminds me a lot of the restaurant chain called Zao. They offered the option to make custom bowls. First you choose your base of rice or a salad. Second, you choose your protein (options include chicken, pork or paneer). You can always skip any protein if you'd like. Lastly, you get the option to add on vegetables and a choice of sauce. Since it was slow, the staff was kind enough to offer a samples of the different sauce options. Some of the sauce was spicy, some were more on the side of sweet. Tikka Masala Bowl: I ended up choosing rice with a bit of salad mix as my base. Added chicken, veggies and topped it with the classic Tikka Masala sauce. Chicken was dry but the sauce helped bring it back to life and moisten it back up. Curry Dumplings a.k.a Momos: My sister had previously tried out this restaurant and recommended to order the handmade curry dumplings prior to your arrival. Since they are made fresh, you could be waiting about 15 to 20 mins. Not ideal if you're short on time. The fresh dumplings are very tasty and filling. I would recommend everything to try them if you have the time to wait. Overall, I would return to the restaurant to give it a second try. Even though the food wasn't as fresh as I hoped it would be (with the exception of the dumplings - super tasty), the staff was really kind and open to us asking questions. Zimbu provides classic Nepalese and Indian influenced cuisines. There are two locations for Zimbu. One located in downtown City Creek and the other in Sandy. Would you go? Let me know. Follow me for all the Salt City sips and trips.

The service was great, and the mo:mo tasted just like the authentic flavors from the streets of Kathmandu -- absolutely delicious. I also tried their paneer chilli with the in-house garlic chili sauce, and it was top-notch. The whole atmosphere was cozy and welcoming - definitely a spot I'd recommend!

Very interesting and yummy! My husband introduced me and we shared a bowl and one of my favorite Easten foods, Samosas. We got the flavored rice, tiki masala sauce and coconut curry. They both were similar to Indian but a twist, not the same at all! It was tasty and we'll come back for the recommendation, Momo. The employees were a delight and everything is very clean and modern.

All of the food at this place is phenomenal and you really can't go wrong with ordering anything off of their menu. The owner is obviously very passionate about good food and goes out of his way to make sure that you find the dish that you'll enjoy the most, so be sure to ask about samples when you go in. I highly recommend the MoMos, which are made fresh while you wait and come with a savory sauce on the side.

They have the best mono's and Samosas in Utah. The mono's are made to order and have to wait but well worth the wait.

Decent indian food, big portions, and not badly priced…read more Ambiance: Big restaurant with lots of seating on the inside. There's a tiny bar when you first walk in as well. Service: Quick and friendly. Food: Got the Sesame Crispy Potato, garlic potatoes, and the chicken tikka masala. Everything was pretty good tbh and they definitely do not skimp on the spice when you ask for it which was a pleasant surprise! The tikka masala was a bit sweeter than I'd like and I ran out of meat way before I ran out of the curry, but it was good. Overall, decent Indian place. Nothing amazing, but it's got everything you need.

This was my family's first trip to Jalwa since it used to be the former Aroma Indian restaurant…read morethat we have patronized for years. The new interior refresh is nice, modern, and inviting...and a pleasant departure from the typical Indian restaurant... Although I think some modern cultural artwork, paintings, and decorations would be very fitting as an add-on to the Jalwa restaurant. Our waiter was very pleasant (although he spoke in hushed tones...and it was difficult to hear him.) He also got a little confused as to what we were looking for with respect to just wanting the papadums with chutney (which is a standard appetizer at most Indian restaurants that we've patronized,) but instead we got vegetable pakora with chutney and just plain papadums on the side. Hmmmm. Nevertheless, it was all delicious. My wife's main entree was the butter chicken, and we both shared a saag aloo. I had my go-to chicken vindaloo, and it was delicious. The portion sizes are humongous, which is a nice departure from the typical Indian restaurant where you pay $15 and get maybe half the bowl that Jalwa provides. Overall, an excellent experience and will be back to patronize more often. Oh, and they're newly updated and revised menu is awesome! Dozens and dozens of options. It took us at least 10 minutes to get through it all to figure out what we wanted! Four stars for good food (and plenty of it), good service, and a nice new atmosphere as compared to Aroma. Absolutely recommend!
