Typical diner food, but lots of veggie choices. They were very generous with the avocado. Swedish pancake was delicious. Staff is friendly and attentive. It's roomy with 1970s music, which is appealing to the older crowd. Very clean. They actually didn't bring my a straw like I requested. Lots of places always bring it to me. Save the plastic trees! LOL! I want to reduce plastic waste and bring my own reusable straw if I need it. Never been to Cloverdale before and a lovely town with friendly people. Will have to come back and visit. read more

Started eating here a couple years ago and unfortunately have watched it decline. Food has gone from good to just ok and service has tanked. $32+ for burger fries and salad. Had to ask for the fries, salad is about half the size it used to be and they've cut the ingredients. Burger was good but overall not worth it. I will not be back place is clean but staff can be distracted by personal social circle coming in. Seems to need better management or staff read more

The food was comforting and delicious, the service was on spot.. not overbearing or non-existent. The wait was not really a wait at all and the food was also prompt. I forgot my coffee cup there (a gift from my girls that I use and cherish everyday) they held onto it for me and when I picked it up.. it was as clean as it had been when I first got it. It is conveniently located, so i typically just walk to the restaurant. I find the service friendly and usually pretty prompt. Menu is pretty extensive. Most offerings are tasty. I like their veggie scramble with avocado on their breakfast menu and their multi-flavored mimosas (on weekends). Their crepes leave a lot to be desired , however, because it's essentially their pancakes folded over like crepes (meaning, they're not thin). If you have dietary restrictions, such as a gluten-free food preference/requirement, Zini's does not have any on their menu--no gluten-free toast, pasta, or pizza crust. read more

They forgot to give us a waitress and we were forgotten. Food tasted good, however got stomach aches and hour later.

Like others have said, the Swedish pancakes were delicious. Really reasonable price as well. Under $4 for the short stack of two. I also got the Denver omelette with hash browns. It was good, but not the best I've ever had. I personally don't like when my eggs are brown at all. I don't like the flavor they take on. This omelette was browned lightly. It was fine with some sour cream and hot sauce. Hash browns were nice and crisp. They offer fruit instead if you prefer. I tried the Hollandaise, which tasted like the powdered kind. It was fine. Put together with the eggs Benedict, it tasted great. The poached egg was cooked perfectly. Service was friendly and incredibly fast. Great place for kids because of that. Their space feels big and spacious - plenty of space to get to tables freely without obstacles, and I didn't realize how nice that was until I experienced it. Atmosphere was fittingly diner-y. After visiting this lovely town for many many years I finally tried this restaurant. We went the day before Mother's Day. We were not acknowledged for quite a few minutes after entering which I wasn't expecting since the restaurant was not full or extremely busy. Once seated, our waitress was very nice and answered our questions regarding menu items. Our food was brought to us promptly and the portion sizes are big. I must say that I loved the thin pancakes. Coming back from Ukiah recently we were looking for a breakfast spot and happened upon Zini's Cafe based on yelp reviews. Yelpers were right about this one: a great breakfast place. We all had the Swedish Pancakes and they received a universal thumbs up. Some of the sides we had were excellent, especially my side of ham. Best ham I've had in quite a while! The hashbrowns also were quite good. I had thought this was just a breakfast place, but the website says they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Foods great, probably one of the better breakfast places I've tried, but the service not so much. We waited awhile to get seated then were eventually told to sit anywhere. Took about another 10 min to place our orders. Food came out within another 10 min or so and again was great - Had the Denver Omelette, well seasoned & fresh. We took a ride from Santa Rosa to Cloverdale to have a night out. My husband had breakfast here with his brother & wanted to share the good food with me. My roast beef dinner was excellent!
