No idea how these guys don't already have a Yelp page, but here it is. I had Steve and the crew (Aaron, and Cody) install H&R lowering springs and, on a later date, an AWE exhaust system on my Audi. These guys have taken such good care of me. A little backstory, I've had two turbos blow on my 2015 GTI. The first was due to the terrible early revision turbos and was covered under warranty, but the 2nd blew because the dealer didn't clean anything out of the pipes or even change the oil, they just slapped on a new turbo. Sure enough, a month later this turbo blew from having bits of old turbo run through it, and VW decides they won't cover it under warranty. So, I decide to take my VW to ZinkWerks, who I had heard great things about from a friend. They are VERY thorough. They completely cleaned out my engine, all pipes, intake manifold, even my exhaust and catalytic converter, changed the oil, basically everything that VW should've done the first time, and much more. They ran a compression check to make sure the engine wasn't damaged which gave me piece of mind. I also used this opportunity to upgrade, since I was already paying for the turbo. I had them install a larger turbo (IS38, Golf R turbo), an APR Intercooler, a new clutch, some upgraded charge pipes, a Wavetrac LSD, and a few other smaller things that I bought while the car was there taken apart that I figured we might as well throw on while everything was apart. They were very flexible in working with me while I kept adding things to the list for them to do, which I appreciate tremendously. (Sorry, guys!) The most awesome thing was that they installed the Wavetrac LSD for me, even though they hadn't done one before. They could've easily told me that they wouldn't do it, but instead they were willing to learn something new, and they did a flawless job. In fact, I'm fairly certain this is the only VW/Audi shop in DFW that will install a LSD. I was prepared to have to drive to Austin to do it. They also charge a very fair price. MUCH cheaper than having to pay for work at a VW dealership, and MUCH better quality work, as I know by experience. The staff is friendly, too, and are all great guys. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Whether it's for small things like oil changes and scheduled maintenance, to major upgrades like a clutch/LSD, these guys will take very good care of your car. I always worried I was asking too much, but they were more than willing to work with me and meet my requests. This is now my go-to shop that I trust, and being new to the area, I am so glad I was told about them. I won't be returning to the VW dealer unless I have to. ZinkWerks has taken great care of me since I've been here, and I just cannot say enough good things about them. I will be returning here for all of my scheduled maintenance, as well as any installs that I won't do myself. read more

Very knowledgeable and they save you tons of money by starting with the small stuff before going into the big stuff. It's a gradual pricing model that benefits the customer. I will never go back to VW. I went to Firestone and they wanted $794.53 to replace the vapor canister purge solenoid, evap leak detection pump, and a fuel cap. Come to find out all I needed was a purge valve and a fuel cap that cost $172.12. Just when I was thinking about giving up German engineering these guys reel me back in. read more

Great Audi and VW specialists. Easy to set up my first appointment for my vehicle. Cody got me in and out quickly after changing oil, filter, topping off fluids and checking the axles and driveshafts on my all-wheel drive. Two other customers came in and sang ZinkWerks' praises. The latter was a woman who said everyone at this shop always explained what her car needed and why. She said they've never taken advantage of her naivety about cars. I agree with her assessment as Cody was easy to talk with, didn't talk over my head and made solid suggestions for upkeep and maintenance. It is a small shop, so, patience is necessary.
