I am giving this a review so I never forget the name! We went on a trip to Italy years ago and will always remember our experience here. After traveling around the country this was our favorite. The view was beautiful, staff was friendly, and seafood was the best we have ever tasted. We enjoyed the company of new friends met while we sipped complimentary limoncello. An experience like no other. The views are amazing, the hospitality is like no other, and the food is absolutely mouth watering to say the least. My husband and I had the pleasure of not only picking our own ingredients for our meal, but also got to experience making our meal from scratch. We made two Italian classics, gnocchi and pizza. When visiting the amalfi coast we stayed at the villa San pietro right across the street. This was one of our fave places to dine eat. Any place frequented by mainly locals is typically a good sign already. One night we called in to see if they were open for a late dinner. Unfortunately one of their staff lost a family member so they were closed. However, despite the tragedy they opened us for me and my friends and served us food that their own family ate. We loved this place and all the family and workers here....definitely one of our highlights during our trip! The frutti de mare is a must and loaded with fresh seafood. We arrived in sorrento after a long day of travel, and we were very hungry. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were very happy and satisfied with their recommendations. Service was warm and friendly. View was great. We arrived at 7:30 and we're the first ones in. We had seats facing the water (the restaurant is nestled up in the mountains). By the time we left at around 9, most of the seats immediately facing the water were taken, so if this is a priority for you try to arrive before 8. We've been to several other cities in Italy in this trip, and this restaurant has provided the best combination of value and quality. Will definitely be coming again! read more

This place has GREAT pizza. I LOVE pizza - probably my favourite food. We were staying nearby and decide to try it based on a recommendation by someone who lives in the area. I must admit that the restaurant is not very fancy, but boy is the food ever good. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I had a pizza which some of the best crust I ever tasted and I eat a lot of pizza. The pizza was GREAT. My friends had pasta which was also great. The price of the meal was cheap. You can tell that this place is a one frequented by locals and owned by a nice caring family. I ordered the pasta arriabata and it was the best I've had since being in Rome (we've been traveling for three weeks now and Rome has been our starting and stopping point). The penne was perfectly cooked al dente, the type of noodle was unique in that the texture and size was delectable and fun, and of course I finished the whole plate, with the addition of my new favorite sauce, pepperoncini oil. The caprese dish my brother got to start with also had the freshest tomatoes, vibrant red and juicy. We told our driver we don't eat at touristy places. Take us to the Best Local place. This is legitimate Italian food. Our driver ordered for us and I can't believe how much food was brought out. Excellent food and service. We liked the tagliatelle, fried calamari (make sure to ask for the amazing homemade marinara sauce!) and diablo pizza. Also, the bruschetta and fried cheese balls they serve were awesome (included in the €1.50 per person cover charge). Our server was very attentive. The place was mostly filled with Italians. Stopped in for dinner for the second time this week after starting early in the AM to tour from piano di Sorrento to Amalfi. We were all tired and decided on the spur of the moment to stop here for dinner rather than cooking ourselves. So it was 6:30, (early by Italian standards) when we walked in. The whole staff was sitting eating their dinner - no problem! Warm welcome! After being promptly seated menus out, 6 out of 7 of us opted to go for pasta after most of us had pizza on our first visit (and were happy). Pizzas are good but typical Italian pizza so you can't go wrong there. But the pastas are quite good too and our sever was very accommodating in allowing some of us to change the pasta/sauce combinations. Linguini with pommodoro sauce instead of penna for example. Special shout out for the rocket (arugula) and tomato salad, the soups (which are a meal in themselves). The tomatoes served here are grown by the boss and they are the richest red colour and flavour we have ever had anywhere! With 2 courses each, 2 bottles of water, 2 of good local wine, and 2 desserts to share and coperto, the bill was €150. Very very reasonable. This is a family run restaurant and I bet it's a favourite with the locals. We would definitely go back again and again! read more

Great is what i call this unpretentious local family operated restaurant. There is an acknowledgement of everyobe who enters. Although the decor is pre 1980 but the hospitality and food are fantastic. The pasta, the anipasti, and the pizza. This place was very good! Recommended to me and my new wife by hotel staff. A bit of a family style pizzeria like we have back home in NJ but the food was much better. Antonio, one of Zio Sam's sons came to pick us up with his son Luis for free! and dropped us off again at the hotel after dinner, again for free! The food was delicious! We recommend the zucchini flowers, they are stuffed with mozzarella and fried in a tempura-like batter. The Noccette with shrimp was also extremely good! The staff was all very friendly and attentive. If we lived around here we would definitely be back! read more
