My only knock is due to construction the airport was a little confusing. For instance Zone 5 is actually two separate sections and you can't see each other. Minor nit. Half of baggage claim six was inaccessible from blocked off construction so bags got stuck on the other side... but construction workers helped people. Mine was stuck in a closed AA office because it arrived early so they had it better.

I love this big, spacious airport. It's not overly crowded, and it's clean. The floors,…read morerestaurants, bathrooms, and the seating areas are actualy clean, and not sticky. For me, this is a rarity, and a big deal. I am such a clean freak, I always clean, and disinfect the chairs, and tables I sit at when I'm at any airport. Thank you Houston for setting the bar high. I love seeing the kids kiosks, and play area. Having this for the kids (and parents) is such a smart idea. I'm sure the parents who have layovers, and delays appreciate it. I would have appreciated it when my kids were young. Thank you to all the staff we've encountered in different areas of the airport. They have all been pleasant, and helpful. Which is another rarity to find. Probably that southern charm. I want to personally thank Officer Vo at the Global Entry desk. His professional, warm, outgoing personality was unexpectedly welcoming, and much appreciated. Thanks Houston, you Rock!!

This place is an absolute gem and you can feel the history the moment you walk in there's a reason they've been around since 1956. Everything feels classic, warm, and authentic, and the smell alone is enough to pull you straight to the counter. The kolaches are OUTSTANDING. Soft, fresh, perfectly baked dough with generous fillings -- both sweet and savory options are on point. Whether you're grabbing sausage kolaches, fruit-filled pastries, or anything in between, you can tell everything is made with care and consistency. Nothing tastes mass-produced. It tastes homemade in the best way. Their coffee pairs perfectly with the pastries too --smooth, flavorful, and exactly what you want with a warm kolache in the morning. It's the kind of spot where you come in for "just one" and end up leaving with a box because everything looks too good to pass up. What really stands out is how efficient and friendly the staff is, even when it's busy. They keep the line moving, are helpful with recommendations, and genuinely seem proud of what they serve -- which says a lot. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions, especially compared to trendy bakeries that charge double for half the flavor. This is real Houston comfort food at its finest. Perfect for breakfast, a quick bite on the go, or grabbing treats for coworkers or family. I'll definitely be coming back regularly this is now one of my go-to spots whenever I'm craving something warm, fresh, and satisfying. Highly recommend. Hands down one of the best kolache places in Houston.

This past time I went they were out of the turnovers and a member of the staff came up and told us they will be out of the oven in 10 minutes if we wanted to wait, which of course we did. That was nice of them! The roast beef is the best! I love spicy so I get mine with jalepenos but it's not that spicy just a little kick.
