The stop is also convenient for the Emerald Pools trailhead, which is directly across the road. We grabbed some food and drinks and relaxed outside on the large lawn with an amazing view of the canyon walls. There are several choices depending on what you're looking for such as Red Rock Grill for a sit down meal, Castle Dome Café for coffee, quick meals and snacks, and a seasonal Beer Garden for cold drinks. The café also has a small market with grab and go food, picnic items and trail snacks! The lodge also has a gift shop, water filling stations, and restrooms both inside the building and next to the shuttle stop. After spending hours walking around the park, having everything in one convenient area is a huge plus! There are also lodge rooms and cabins for overnight guests, although we only stopped for food and drinks. Zion Lodge is a comfortable and convenient stopping point in the middle of the park. The food was solid, the atmosphere was relaxed, and sitting outside surrounded by Zion's scenery made the visit memorable! We saw a few Turkeys! Definitely worth getting off the shuttle for a break, even if you aren't staying at the lodge

The views were lovely, and the grab-and-go breakfast was basic but perfectly fine (yogurt, muffin, bagel, cream cheese). Location is very close to Zion National Park, which was the main priority, and we'd stay here again. The only downsides were a small leak from the bathroom vent during rain and no housekeeping during our 2-night stay. Otherwise, a smooth and convenient experience!

Leading up to our stay, Flanigan's sent me a ton of e-mails trying to upsell us on spa treatments, restaurant reservations, etc. On the flip side, I asked them multiple times if we would be able to leave our car parked at the hotel while we did one overnight on the Narrows and never got a response. This is an ongoing theme with these guys - their number one concern is cash and what they can get out of their guests, not the guests themselves. Two days before my stay, I got a "pre-registration" e-mail. This one included requests for things like credit card for the deposit, check in time, etc. This form I actually filled out and returned to Flanigan's. The next day (the day before I was meant to stay at Flanigan's) I got a phone call from them which I ignored. I subsequently got an e-mail from them saying that "per my request, my reservation was cancelled". Needless to say, I had NOT asked to cancel my reservation. I immediately responded and was told that the credit card I had given was declined and it is Flanigan's policy to cancel reservations in that case. Here's the kicker, though, they had charged the credit card I had used when I booked the reservation, NOT the one that I had given them in their stupid "pre-registration" e-mail. They hadn't even looked at that. They tried the credit card from the time of booking, gave me one phone call while I was at work, and then just cancelled the reservation. The day before we were supposed to go. The genius behind this effort was Garn Henderson. Garn would not accept anything but me calling them to update the card. They wouldn't even bother to charge the card that I had given them on the pre-registration form. When Garn proved completely useless, I was forwarded to resort manager Cade Campbell who proved to be the single worst resort professional I have ever met. Cade refused to apologize and, again, charge the card that I had given them and told me that Flanigan's has to resort to this policy because they're holding so many "high value rooms". A minute-long search on Trivago showed that this was a straight-up lie and that Flanigan's had all kinds of rooms available. They're just too lazy, rude, and unhelpful to bother to do the right thing. It got so bad that I told Cade to just go ahead and keep our reservation cancelled. The story has a happy ending as we found a great room at the Springhill Suites which was $200 cheaper and had staff that was wonderful and helpful. After we got to Springdale, we actually saw Flanigan's and it was clear that this place just bills itself as a "resort" so that it can charge a markedly higher price. It's indistinguishable from the Springhill Suites or the Best Western Plus. Just stay at one of those places and avoid this dump.

We went to the spa daily and also tried out their affiliated restaurant Spotted Dog. Both places are must do's too! But my favorite thing about this place is it appears there's a veteran neighbor: a deer that was there in the garden hanging out in the shade every day!! It was so cute!

The parking was confusing and I believe that was confusing to a lot of people. It's not very well labeled so the place could definitely fix that, but besides that we had such a great stay here.

It's a unique oversized condo located in Hurricane and very close to St. George, not too far from Zion National Park (about a 45 minute drive). It's conveniently located near the freeway, grocery stores and restaurants. The parking is free and designated parking garage according to your unit with a door entry. I was sold when I saw that they had a full kitchen along with an outdoor and indoor pool. Upon arrival, you don't need to go to a front desk to check in. They email you a code to enter at the door and you just go right in and also the same as when you check out. The rooms are fully stocked with kitchen appliances and even a BBQ grill! The condo itself has ample space, a huge bathroom, a walk in closet, a living room, a dining table that seats 6 and a washer and dryer! The atmosphere is relaxing and with 4 of us, there was plenty of space. The resort is the perfect distance between parks and the city. We enjoyed 4 days here, the amenities and the feeling of privacy. This place is not crowded at all, it was the perfect getaway. Major plus - it's super quiet, there's a gas station right next to it, a little market and a wine store about 500 feet away with tons of wine!

Then later said there's a $25 fee for dogs. Ok so $100? Right. Well why don't you just say that from the start?! Anyway we got two queen beds and it was nice and clean. Comfy beds, easy access to the fenced in dog poop area. Breakfast was ok - options included biscuit and gravy, French toast, eggs, sausage, bagels, yogurt, and coffee. It was sub-par food just ok. This place is a good option if you need something quick, but not for a longer stay.

I made a yelp account just to leave a review for this amazing hotel…read more I originally made a reservation for a hotel around the corner from here weeks in advance just to show up and have them tell me I can't stay because I was too "young" and that no one around would take 18 year olds. I then called around and found the Ambassador inn and thank god I did. They made my trip amazing and they had the best staff and they made sure we had everything we needed. We got the deluxe king room for $405 for 4 nights and it was well worth the money! The pool was heated and the hot tub was perfect, they provided new towels from the front desk every time we went to swim and they also provide free breakfast which had a nice variety of foods and drinks. One morning we went to eat when it was almost over so there wasn't much left but a worker asked if we would like anything else and she got us some more French toast since they were out as well as anything else we wanted. Our room was extremely clean and the house keeping was exceptional, they also leave sample size Bath and Body works shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and bars of soap every time they clean. I will be returning to this hotel every time I go to St George. (They also gave me a stamp card to earn a free nights stay!)

It's an easy drive but yes a tiny bit bumpy. That only adds to the actual location. We actually really liked its remote nature. It's not in the hustle and bustle of town. Everyone at check in was so so kind. We loved our stay. We stayed in stargazer two and the mesh stargazing area is incredible. We laid out on it at night and could not get over what a cool experience that alone was. Decor is top notch. The privacy of each unit was actually incredibly comfortable. The ac is fantastic. Getting to stargazer 2 was easy but possibly challenging for those with mobility challenges in regards to stairs. The jacuzzi and fire pit were so fun. Oh and the smores kit was such a nice touch as well as the welcome basket. We travel a lot and this place has it dialed in. Truly. Cold waters in the fridge upon arrival - ahhhh. So what would I add - a wellness spa for massages, on site morning yoga, sound bathing, etc.... I might add a very modern pool or one that incorporates nature. Lastly I'd recommend a type of gnat spray provided to guests. At dawn and sunset they are incredibly active. Overall this place is nothing short of incredible and its founders should be very proud of what they have created. The effort in creating Open Sky is very much noticed. Overall the property was quiet the night I stayed. Bed was on the firm side and I found it comfortable. There are 2 things I REALLY appreciated: 1) The pillows were thick and supportive. Usually hotel pillows are too flat and squishy for a side sleeper like me, but these were perfect! 2) the fridge is bigger than the typical mini fridge you find hotel rooms (the ones that are hidden away under a counter or in a cabinet). This one was dorm-sized and I actually had room for all my food and drinks. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
