No complaints. Room looked updated and was very clean, nothing like some of the pictures people posted here a few years ago. Water in the shower got hot quickly and had pretty good pressure. Overall the property was quiet the night I stayed. Bed was on the firm side and I found it comfortable. There are 2 things I REALLY appreciated: 1) The pillows were thick and supportive. Usually hotel pillows are too flat and squishy for a side sleeper like me, but these were perfect! 2) the fridge is bigger than the typical mini fridge you find hotel rooms (the ones that are hidden away under a counter or in a cabinet). This one was dorm-sized and I actually had room for all my food and drinks. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. read more

Well, I never thought I would stay in this place again. The last time we stayed here was 15 years ago. And back then, I was not impressed. It's Valentine's Day. It's President's Day weekend. But most importantly, it's also my daughter's 20th birthday. We decided to get away from the freezing temperatures if Salt Lake City yesterday. With this much planning, you're not gone to get a room without paying through the nose for it. Since I'm cheap, we booked a room here, at the St. George Inn & Suites. We paid $475 for two nights. They're normally $89. This is what $475 got us. Two Queen beds. A 32" LG tv, a fridge, a microwave, teal everywhere outside, and two palm-looking paintings on the wall. I feel like I have stepped into the 70's. I'm not sure what theme these guys are going for. When you go into the bathroom you feel claustrophobic. Not to mention, I've never seen a toilet shaped like that. I shudder to think how old it is. When you sit on the bed, you can feel the springs and you hit the box springs when you sit in the edge of the bed. The room looks run down. Floor plastic molding is coming off the wall, the door is banged up, the paint on the door molding is chipped, and someone took a sign off the door years ago and didn't bother to clean off the sticky residue. You can tell it's been a long time since it is brown now. Check in is at 3pm. We arrived in St. George at 1pm so we called the front desk to ask if we could check in early. They said the room was ready but they would have to charge $25. What??? I'm dreading the night. I'm hoping that I don't get cooties tonight. $489 and they didn't even have maid service. We don't have clean towels in the room. I'm making sure in plan better next time and hope I never end up here again! read more

Pros: the room was clean, the pool was lovely, it was quiet at night. Cons: Check-inn staff was somewhat surly, didn't make eye contact, obviously didn't care about the customers, just handed over the key and mentally moved on. No mention of indoor pool (found out when writing this review) Breakfast - hot water and caffeinated coffee dispensers were empty with no staff around to contact. No fresh fruit and not enough space for as many rooms as they have. Seating was too close together and tables were tiny. Only one ice machine in the entire complex which must have had close to 100 rooms. It was located behind the office in a tiny alcove. There were soda machines in other areas with hookups for ice, but no machines. I wouldn't stay here again - lots of other places in the area with better amenities. read more

This hotel has so improved from what it was a few years ago. The rooms have better beds and the rooms are nicer. The shower area is very small but clean. The cable channels are very goid as is the TV. With an outdoor and indoor pool you can easily have fun and keep cool. The breakfast is good with eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, cereal, yogurt. Etc. There was no fresh fruit. Overall a nice place at a very reasonable price. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Hopes were high for this location since we saw many good reviews. I'd rather give my money to a mom and pop place than a chain hotel. We were looking for a pet friendly place to stay on our road trip. Nightly rates were similar to the others in the area. We had been driving all day and were looking forward to a rest. The " dog " area was small but works. They provided poop bags but it looked like no one used it . The room was old and outdated. I figured our room wasn't the best because it's a dedicated pet friendly room. Not a huge deal because we only want to sleep and shower. The walls were paper thin. The people above us had kids running and jumping around until well after midnight. One of the other pet friendly rooms had a dog barking from 8p- 4am ish . I'm assuming the owner just left him unattended in the room . We brought a white noise machine and this helped some. My husband peed our dog at 4 am ish and he said " druggie" people were hanging out in the parking lot. We got up early to leave and the shower didn't work. We called the front desk and they said they had to turn the water off due to w pipe bursting in our building. It would have been nice if they called us to give us a heads up. They did offer to let us shower in another building but we needed to leave to drive another 9 hours. We stopped in the lobby to get coffee and they didn't have "normal " coffee. They had a complicated machine that did fancy drinks one at a time. There were other people there looking confused and complaining that they just want a normal pot of coffee. The paper cups didn't have lids , so good luck balancing that on the walk back to the room. I would never stay here again. read more

First of all the rooms are very dirty. I went to wipe up a water drop to find complete filth! This is supposed to be dog friendly but you have to walk long distances to take your dog out. I'm disabled and can't walk that far. please do not attempt to try their so called breakfast. it's fake eggs, cardboard bagle and th y are always out of something The breakfast is fake advertising for sure! you will be greeted by this huge tall woman named Amanda who does not have a brain in her head. Great place for children! They have so much to do so your children aren't bored sitting in the room. There's an outside playground, kids 2 ft pool in addition to an adult pool and a hot tub. Customer service is so good and genuine. They even have an inside pool for the winter months so you can be sure you won't be bored. They service full breakfast with plenty to choose from. Why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5: Coffee is so weak it needs to be double bagged to get a real cup of brown coffee instead of the yellow that's served. The eggs are not real (powdered) but they actually taste off so no one will eat them. The cream cheese is left outside of the cooler and either fine or turned sour. The playground door doesn't close so it's nerve racking that strangers can enter the playground even though it's keyed. Most of the lounge chairs at the pool are damaged so they could use an upgrade. These are all minimal items that can be changed and adjusted. The fundamental important parts to a good hotel are on point. Clean, friendly, fun and in the perfect location for food and freeway access. Oh and the prices are excellent! read more

What are the odds that I'd stay here again, exactly two years to the day, and in the exact same room? Pretty remarkable. I'm thinking of having a plaque made to put above the door and name it in my honor. Well, maybe not in my honor, but in my dog's honor. Because it's a pet-friendly room, and she was with me once again on this trip. My previous review is pretty robust so I'll just highlight a few details: it's an economy motel, it has a pool and hot tub (now open again after closing initially for COVID), and has dog-friendly rooms for an extra nightly fee. I wanted to update for COVID to say that the breakfast is still kind of a cook-it-yourself situation, but they do try to limit the number of people who are there in the lobby at once, and you can't stay and eat it. There is limited seating outside, but most everyone just makes their waffle and takes it back to their room. I opted for a waffle sandwich. Waffle, sausage patty, a little syrup, and you're in business. It was not awesome but it was edible and a bonus to save that breakfast money while you're traveling. All in all, despite COVID it was still a good stay. Many things were the same, but for reasons far beyond the hotel, this stay two years later has my heart. This place is the perfect local spot to stay the night when passing through St George! It has lots of fast food options around for those who get in late and need a quick bite. The rooms are dated but very clean otherwise. The place does not look run down at all, it looks very clean and like it has been updated! There is free breakfast in the morning which we did not get a chance to try due to our departure time. It is close to all of these great parks and feels very safe. I booked the room for work and was pleased with the friendly staff. The room was on the bottom floor which was another plus. When I got up at 7am the wifi password was already changed. I went to shower for the day and the water to the shower/tub did not work at all. I should've known by the dirty footprints that were already in the tub when I got there. I had a cleaning cart outside of my door the entire morning until I left, so I asked the cleaning lady if she knew if the shower was functioning or how to work it and she just replied, " No!" The beds were also very uncomfortable. The girl that checked me in did not know how to print a receipt but was very friendly and told me to ask the person when I checked out. The lady that checked me out just told me that I should have an emailed receipt (which I did) but my work likes to have the paper receipt for reimbursement. Not a great stay. read more

St. George Inn & Suites is a dog friendly hotel ($15 per night) that provides breakfast and free WiFi with each stay. A microwave and mini fridge is available in each room, in addition to a blow dryer and iron with ironing board (just wanted to highlight some of these things in case there is someone looking for these amenities). Also there is a self coin operated laundry available on site (I did not use it during my recent stay and so I do not know how much it cost). This hotel is central to numerous eateries (it is in the same parking lot as Black Bear Diner and Burger King. Across the street is McDonald's and there is a DQ Grill & Chill just a few blocks away). My husband and I stayed here with our little girl dog while visiting St. George, UT. We just stayed for one night and made the reservation on hotels.com. We checked in rather late, around 8:40 pm (Utah time). The manager at the front desk was nice but didn't seem to be good at listening, as I had repeat myself a few times (the same thing when we checked out, my husband had to repeat himself more than once when talking to the same manager on duty). Anyways, we were given our hotel keys and then headed to our room. We ended up staying in a room with 2 queen beds since it was a little cheaper than staying in a room with a king size bed (often times this tends to be the case and so we usually just opt for the cheaper room). The bathroom was a bit small, as you would not be able to close the door if you were sitting on the toilet (if that makes sense) but it was not too bad (I've been in smaller bathrooms). Our room was clean and had towels, although I wished there were more (and so my husband went to the front desk to get a few more). Because of the covid19, unfortunately breakfast is now "grab and go" which was a very sad offering (definitely not what previous Yelp members had mentioned what they have had before the health state of this world has taken into effect) that included instant oatmeal packets, 8 oz milk cartons, cold cereal (variety of cereal available in those tiny cardboard boxes), yogurt and coffee. No hot food at all and I did not see any hot water available for the oatmeal (I am assuming that the hotel wants you to use the coffee maker in your room to get hot water for your oatmeal). Breakfast normally is supposed to be served from 6:30- 9:30 am, however during this time, it is only available from 6- 8 am. We came in around 6:20 am for breakfast and so items did not run out (in case you assume that could be the case for the measly offering. Also please note that the hotel only had a handful of guests staying, so don't worry, we are doing a great job practicing social distancing during our stay). Please note that because of the covid19, the housekeeping service will not be available for stays shorter than 3 days. For use of the pool, the maximum limit of people allowed will be no more than 10 people. Just thought I would include this information for those that may be traveling during this time. Overall, the stay was fine, as it provided a nice bed for us and a hot shower. The price was pretty affordable and was good enough for us. read more

Super disappointed. We chose this property because after an 8 hour drive we wanted to sit in the hot jacuzzi and relax. Even though it was still Thanksgiving weekend, they closed the pool area to guests. The pools were perfectly functioning and clean too. We were baited with their offering of the pool area, "...Room Type: Standard One King Bed Non smoking Room... and access to our pools,..." then we were denied use. They made the pool area "off season" AFTER we paid for the room based on their website. So, there's no pool now until spring. Bait and switch. Choose another hotel. read more

I agree with other users that is a no frills and budget friendly place. However, my stay was not at all hospitable. We arrived just before midnight, after a long drive, to find reception dark and locked up. I guess this was understandable, given the time, but I haven't encountered it before. Locked up before midnight?! After ringing the buzzer, and waiting awhile, someone finally came out, who was clearly woken up and annoyed. I tried to make light conversation, but it was not working. We clearly were unwelcome and an irritant. The room was presentable, pretty much what we expected. HOWEVER, IMAGINE BEING DEAD TIRED, PULLING BACK THE BED COVERS AND FINDING A LIVE LIZARD IN YOUR BED?!! Photos included here. We also had no blankets. I didnt dare wake reception again. We stuck it out but, when we checked out, we left our name and number for the management or owner to call. No one ever called. We booked this hotel because of the good reviews. I've stayed in a lot of low end motels and this is nicer than those. But the high ratings are surprising. We first were given room 224. Our dog was so freightened of the stair case to get to the room that it took a good 10 minutes to coax him up. He weighs 100lbs so there's no lifting him. The room looked pretty good. It had carpet which was a bit stained but not too bad. We were happy with carpet (a reason why we booked this hotel) because our anxious dog is scared of hard flooring. The rest of the room and bathroom looked pretty good. Clean besides some human hair on the carpet. Updated looking sink, toilet and tub. There was a strong smell of something burning, like exhaust fumes. Thought maybe it was from outside or the a/c so we figured it would go away. We unloaded the car and started to get settled but the smell was strong and wasn't letting up. It wasn't coming from outside either. It felt like a bad idea to be breathing that in all night. Only one time in my life did I ever ask to switch rooms. I don't even send my meal back of it's bad. But we couldn't stand the smell so I went to ask for a different room and requested a first floor for my dog to not have to stress those stairs again. They kindly gave us room 107. But this room wasn't nearly as nice or updated as the first. Crazy how you can pay the same amount and get a such a different quality room. I suppose they figure guests wouldn't know the difference if the only ever see the one room they are in. Doesn't seem right but my guess is all hotels do this. Pros/cons of room 107: Pros: first floor for the dog to easily walk out. Seemed pretty clean. Good water pressure. Good size just like the other room (think they are all identical). New-ish looking floor. No burning smell. A/c worked well. Rooms have a fridge, microwave, good sized drawers, large wardrobe, good sized sink counter. Cons: hard floor so dog had some trouble walking on it and was not very comfy for him to sleep on the hard ground. Only one night stand. Older a/c unit. Older toilet that had some struggles flushing. Old tub that really needs to be replaced. Looks like they just painted over some mildew. Older sink faucet (though it worked fine). Can hear everyone walking above you. Can't leave curtain open cuz rooms are right on the walkway. Bathrooms are really tight so would be difficult if someone had a disability or struggled with hefty weight issues. I smashed my heel on the toilet as I was trying to step into the shower. The molding was gross and clearly they just painted over any mold or mildew. I took photos of some of the gross stuff. I tried out the outdoor pool at night when no one was there. Pool was nice but because it was during the pandemic, I left after five minutes because a bunch of people came and weren't distancing. And no one wears a mask here. Also one guy was smoking in the hot tub which stunk up the whole area. There's a tiny patch of grass for dogs to use which if a nice touch because there is no other grass in that area but some owners don't pick up after their dogs so watch your step. Not saying I wouldn't stay here again if I couldn't find anything better. But I'd request an updated room if possible. read more

Review is for a regular room, didn't try a suite. Basic but clean and well-kept budget motel with small rooms, a lot like the Claridge Inn right across the street. Might even be owned by the same people, did see some similarities between the two. One difference is the Claridge has super hard beds, this one is more squishy. So take your preference. Also, this one has some kind of breakfast (didn't check out, stayed one night and my room was right by Burger King) and a few more amenities like a fitness room and laundry (also didn't check out). The one downside is that, judging by the helpful property map, about half the rooms have conjoining doors. So you may wanna ask to avoid those. I need a room on Bluff St. for a night here and there for convenience to the SL Express, I could see making this a regular place if the price was right & its no trouble to get a non-conjoining room. read more

After a very long day of driving, my husband and I decided to stop here for the night to give our cats and baby a break from the cat, and this place was wonderful! We got in pretty late, and the lady at the front desk was very nice and was able to get us a pet friendly room, the whole process took about 5 minutes. The front desk staff were very nice! The room itself had the essentials, and there are vending machines if you want a drink. Their free breakfast bar is great too! I would definitely stay here again! read more

Got here late and tired. Went in, and all you could hear was the snoring from another room. Woke up (or stayed awake all night), went to breakfast, everything was gone. Got the kids ready, went to the indoor pool and ended up sick from the chlorine. Left for the day, came back, our keys didn't work (no big deal!), went to the office and ALL you could smell was marijuana. The lady at the desk was not nice, AT ALL, but fixed our room keys. They came in, "cleaned" our room, and left hair (that DEFINITELY wasn't there before) all over the bathroom. And don't even bother with the wifi. It's trash. We've stayed here a few times a year for the past 12 years and this is by far the worst experience. read more

I stayed here for one night while in the area for a concert at the Tuahcahn Amphitheatre. I noticed first that this place doesn't look like much from the outside. But looks can be deceiving. The check-in lobby tells another story. It is clean and dare I say classy. Check-in was simple enough as was locating my room. Despite arriving an hour early my room was ready for me which I was appreciative of. I had been driving and hiking for hours and was in need of a resting place and a shower. What I was not appreciative of was being placed in a room next to a family with a screaming baby. Oh, how I loath children and families in general. Especially when they disturb my peace. Lucky for me there was a TV with good volume control. The room was actually pretty nice. Clean amd fresh smelling. There was a table with two chairs, two queen beds, a night stand, dresser, fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board, blow dryer, coffee maker and a wardrobe. A lot of amenities for a small roadside hotel. It looled cozy but I did not find the beds to be comfortable. I require a firm mattress. These were soft. And I don't like soft down pillows like this place has. Thats why I travel with my own. It helps to sleep on something familiar like your own pillows. Sleep eluded me here for various reasons. The soft beds. Being on the ground floor and hearing people stomping above me. The screaming baby next door. Oh yeah, and the power outage at 5:30 AM that plunged the hotel into darkness. No lights. No TV. No alarm clock. No AC. No bueno. The power came back on around 6:00 which is when I planned on getting up any way. So I turned on the TV and showered to freshen up. The shower was ok. It serves it purpose. Nearly instant hot water and plenty of pressure is nice. The shampoo was awesome. The bar soap was sticky and grainy. Could have used a body wash. But again, the purpose was served. I stepped out feeling refreshed. This hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast which I did not take advantage of. There was DIY waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal and fruit. None of it thrilled me so I went next door to Black Bear Diner before coming home to Las Vegas. St. George Inn and Suites is not a bad place to stop for the night. It is a fairly standard road side hotel but it seems fairly newly remodeled so it is still nice and clean. The amenities are more than enough for a short stay. Its mostly quiet depending on your neighbors. And it is conveniently close to the freeway but not so close that you are bothered by the road noise. Not a bad overall experience but don't expect 4-star luxury. read more

We stayed here twice. Really appreciate being able to park right outside the room with 4 littles. First room had a strange knocking sound, someone's boxers and one TV not working but the second room was great. The indoor play area was not playable. I do like the layout of the family suites. I was billed 20 dollars more for the second stay (not sure why). They kindly held my pillow that I left and returned it. We did have to eat breakfast elsewhere as it was pretty slim pickin's. So overall if I can pick the second room again yes I would stay here. read more

Spotless room, nice with a table and chairs to have meals on. Mini fridge and microwave. Location is PERFECT! Many things around you that you can walk to. The young front desk blonde girl with stretched ears was very friendly and answered all my questions. Breakfast is from 6-9:30am. Reason it's not 5 stars is because the breakfast was packed multiple days and they were out of everything but yogurt and waffle mix. They need to have 2 people working breakfast not the 1. They have wifi. I saw a sign that says they do accept dogs for a fee. There was about 10 breeds listed that weren't allowed though. Only thing that is/was a bummer is I couldn't find an elevator. My luggage is as heavy and big as me so getting it up the stairs was a mission until some nice stranger helped me. I would stay here again for sure! read more

Stayed for a night as it was my cheapest option at the time. Staff was very friendly. Had some issues getting into my room so they assigned me another. Once in, I found the room clean but dated. The air conditioner was rather loud but that is fine as it drowned out the noise from outdoors. This is certainly a nice place for families as they have a few pools and an area for the kids to play. There are ample parking and several restaurant options within walking distance. Other than in need of being updated and some routine maintenance, the room I had worked. The bathroom was very small but everything worked as it should. You can certainly tell this is in a warmer climate as I could see daylight around most of the entry door from the inside. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. They had one hot option (biscuits and gravy) but no eggs. The biscuits were small and of course, the gravy was from a can. There were your other cold options, from cereal to fruit. It was off to Denny's (located right next door) for a real breakfast. But since the hotel breakfast was free, I'm sure it would have worked for others. All-in-all, it was a good option but nothing that moved it above average. read more

Our room was spacious and clean. We had a king bed and what I think was a sleeper sofa. I must say that the air conditioning in the room was excellent -- it was 105 outside when we checked in. That being said, the A/C in the lobby and breakfast room is not excellent, and clearly not designed with A/C in mind. I was really warm while eating breakfast and couldn't wait to get out of there. As indicated, breakfast comes with the room. They had sausage, bagels and cream cheese, yogurt and fruit, cereal, and pancakes. Apparently the waffle machine was broken, and for some reason they were not serving eggs which apparently they ordinarily do. I appreciated the amenities in the room - refrigerator, coffee pot with coffee, and microwave. They have a pool and spa but we did not use either. My only true complaint was that the mattress on the bed was not exceedingly comfortable but it wasn't horrible either. I think at $67 booked in advance through Booking.com we got a pretty good deal for our money. read more

Great location. Love the pools, playground and ball pit for kids. Walking distance to fast food and Fiesta Fun zone arcade. Busy but quiet. No longer have good breakfast options due to Covid, previously did. Rooms are comfortable, our TV did not work as far as the cable itself. Water pressure is horrible. The kitchenette is nice mini fridge, cabinets, sink, microwave. We spent one night here on the way from Vegas to Zion National Park. The location is great; St. George has lots of restaurants and shops, and it's less than an hour from Zion. The price was reasonable too; we stayed on a Friday night in July for $65 ($73 with taxes). The room was spacious, with a king bed and large (queen-sized?) sofa bed. It could easily accommodate four people (see photo). The bathroom was adequate, with a large vanity and shower/tub. Our room did have a slight musty smell, but not enough to be off-putting. We especially liked the outdoor pool and hot tub, which was large, clean, and gave much-needed relief from the summer heat. (They also have an indoor pool and hot tub.) Their complimentary breakfast was decent, too. All things considered, I would stay here again. read more

We got in late (after 1 AM) after a long day of traveling. The room was cold and the blanket was thin (more like a thick sheet). There were no extra blankets in the room so we got a couple more blankets from the front desk. One of them was held together with thick blue tape. By the time we got settled and fell asleep it was going on 3 AM. At 8 the next morning there was a sharp knock on the door from housekeeping wanting to clean the room. They know who has checked out, they just want you to leave. My husband went to breakfast at 9:30 (it is supposedly served until 10) and there was nothing out. They'd already cleaned up everything. STAY HERE IF YOU'RE TRAVELING WITH KIDS! This place is an absolute goldmine if you're traveling with kids! Not only does it have a designated children's pool but it has TWO playgrounds - one outdoor and one indoor similar to a McDonalds play structure complete with AC! Breakfast was beyond our expectation and again - kid friendly with a variety of cereals, fruit, waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, pancakes and hot options too! Front desk manager Brian was so genuinely kind and the whole place was buzzing with staff constantly cleaning which shows in the property! We were just passing thru but so glad we choose this place and will make sure to stay here again if ever back in the area! read more

All in all, this was a nice stay for a great price. We stayed here mid-May, and got a double queen room for about $65 a night + tax. The pool area was quite nice - clean, warm, and pleasant. There was an indoor pool as well, but we didn't venture that way. Nor did I take advantage of the indoor exercise facility. Also noticed that there was a playground outside for the kiddos - add that alongside the kiddie pool, and you've got a good place to stay if you're traveling with kids. The breakfast was nice - waffle irons, cereal, muffins and some steel cut style oatmeal. It was up there with most chain hotel breakfasts, for sure. The one major downside was that the Wi-Fi was a total failure. It worked sporadically for the first few minutes, then died entirely, leaving us with nothing. Lobby said that the problem was on our end, as the modem was working - but when four different laptops try to connect and all fail... the problem is on your end, guys. read more

There services there are so nice there breakfast was amazing and I recommend you go here if you get caught in a snowstorm but the pools make you hurt after you get out and dry off so get ready to shower. read more

Have stayed at St. George Inn & Suites 2 separate times now. It is perfect for families with small kiddos!! They have an indoor playplace (with a ballpit that my kids LOVE), an outdoor playground, an indoor pool/spa and an outdoor pool/spa with a 2 ft kiddie pool! Also, endless hot chocolate in the lobby, and a great breakfast in the morning! Its conveniently located right off the freeway so it's easy to get to. I also love that it's in the same parking lot as Denny's, which is 24 hours, so if you get there late & need a bite to eat, you can just walk there or order to-go. The only cons- and they're small- are that the breakfast room gets PACKED- so get up early to get a seat! 8:00-9am seems to be prime time so eat before then! The first time we stayed, we had to trek all our food to our hotel room because there was nowhere to sit. (There is not enough seating for everyone) The other con was that our hotel room door looked like it had been kicked in- door was bent and it was hard to open/close because the latch was loose. Overall- great hotel! We will stay there again because the amenities for kids is so great! Also, the price is pretty good! read more
