I booked my rental reservation using the number I thought was for the Enterprise that had a shuttle with that location but the day before I was to pick it up I got a call (on a Sunday) saying that location did not have a shuttle or transport to that body shop location. I then had the right direct line because of the email confirmation and called the location. They transferred me to this location to move the reservation that same day but this location also didn't have a shuttle service BUT Nick Knight was very helpful and said they would do me a solid and make sure someone could pick me up so I didn't have to be routed to yet another location! Even though they were short staffed that day (a few folks had called in sick), they picked me up, got me a good comparable car, set up me up with a decent rate, and when I returned it made sure the rate was adjusted to 4 days vs. the 5 days the system was quoting me. And one of their employees who didn't technically work at that location but was there for some admin because he helps with their luxury rental line, took me back to Caliber to pick up my car since they were short staffed. I really appreciated them trying to make things easier for me despite the challenges they were facing and everyone did it with a cool and easy attitude! Hard to do these days, so I was extra appreciative of the team that worked there.

These guys sold me a car on a Saturday and less than 4 days later it breaks down. The guy who…read morehelped me with the car promised if there was ever an issue to bring the car back and that they would fix it. I dropped the car off and true to his word they fixed it. They told me it would be done by noon and I didn't get a call until 4pm. He tells me I have to pay for the part before I can take the car home. Problem with that is the part was messed up before selling it to me and wasn't discovered until I got home. I told him that it wasn't good business to promise to fix the car on them, just to turn around and charge me before I can take the car I just got. Then the "manager" comes arguing with me because I signed the contract. And as is was displayed before I signed. I told him legally he isn't allowed to sell a lemon to me. He responds you shouldn't have signed and we have a no refund clause so it's final. If I dont pay he would take the part back out and tow my car to my house like that. Funny thing is, to tow to my house would cost more than the part. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They are full of lies and the guy who sold to me keeps telling me 1 thing and the "manager" is telling me another. I'm gonna go back up there tomorrow and talk to the owner. This is horrible customer service!! Camera back the next day and was told yesterday's offer was no longer on the table. The process was much more easier and stress-free than UHaul. I am happy to say that I trust Penske…read morenow with my future moves. The positives: -Unlimited Mileage and you just pay for one small fee (unless you don't want any additional add-ons. -The truck had a full tank of gas and I returned it with a full tank as a courtesy for the next person. -They had the option to keep the truck for three days and not just two which Uhaul had a big issue with. It's just not possible to return the truck within two days if I am moving from city to city since the city I moved to was 3 hours away from Austin. On the other hand, Penske provided the option to return the truck in the new city and not Austin. However, Uhaul had a problem with this and wanted me to return the truck in Austin by the second day. That sounds very stressful!! -The truck was very clean and spacious. I ended up getting the 12'Truck which allowed me to move out of a 698 sqft apartment. Negative: -There was only one worker at this location and he appeared to be burned out with his work. He was tired and did not speak much. He was a shell of a human. I say that Home Depot needs to make sure that there are more than one worker in the area so that he has someone else helping him out. However, when I returned it to the location in the newer city, the workers were much more lively and provided conversation. However, the truck was ready and he even drove the truck closer to the store so that it would be easy to access. I highly recommend Penske with your moving needs!

I decided to wait for my vehicle and was disappointed that I was not given an estimate of when the car would be ready. I've had other makes of cars, and those dealers always provided that. When my vehicle was ready, my advisor came to me and let me know that nothing was found, and provided the extra information I had requested at check in. I received a text that allowed me to sign my invoice, but I was also sent to the counter, where an invoice was presented, so I had that option too. Lexus has a coffee shop for customers, and here's where this review loses stars. The employee working was cold and unfriendly. She wouldn't smile. She wouldn't engage with anyone. When no customer was at the counter, she stood around, looking unhappy. When I got in line for a second time to get a refill she made me feel like I was bothering her. This is not the Lexus service I expected. On top of that, while I was in line that second time, an employee came in through the back of the café area and asked about getting food, asking about the last muffin in the case. She said he could have it and take it. So, he did. There were four of us in line. What if one of the customers in line wanted it? Overall, this is not Lexus level service.

The complaints stem from both the sales and service aspects. You may wish to scroll through all the one star reviews so as to avoid any possible pitfalls yourself. As for me, I've not had any problems and I usually have a list of things I would like addressed upon arrival as far as maintenance goes. One thing I noticed that's new is that when you check in it's likely you'll get a call from the sales department asking if you wish to have your car appraised to sell to them (I did). To be honest, I wouldn't buy a new Lexus today with all those small four-cylinder turbo engines and the new spyware cameras that watch you driving. I love my 2010 ES 350 and I wish they still made them like this. I'd definitely buy another one. My visit consisted of a 30 point inspection, drain and fill transmission service and serpentine belt inspection. I did ask to see a sample of the tranny fluid to see how dark it was since the car comes with no dipstick, but they forgot my request. They did run into a problem with the drain plug being stripped from the previous tranny shop so they had to get one from the Toyota location which added an extra hour and a half to my wait. Altogether the inspection and trans service set me back $532. It would've been nice if the inspection included a diagnostic scan to check for any codes. Overall, everything went well, and Harold my advisor was very attentive. You'll pay a little more here than the average shop, but at least you get the right parts and fluids. I'll be back when I need something else fixed.
