Just got off the phone with some lady in another country saying "because we have no 'proof' the promotional price was given to you I cannot adjust your bill" Because the agent that was "assisting" me told me either blatant lies to get me off the phone or really didn't note the changes or to adjust back to the original monthly price. I will give them minutes 10 stars if I could. They are much worst than Comcast. I decided to accept a mailed offer and I signed with them again two months ago. No confirmation was received and I could not get a life person on the phone and then from nowhere weeks later I get a call from an installer that he is by my Condo to connect the service so I told him I am not interested any more and he told me he will cancel the order. However they billed me for a month and they have been trying to bill me 40.00 every month for a service I don't have. No service... no equipments ... nothing . 2 gentlemen can to my door selling Ziply fiber. It was Free for the first month to try, and since our internet isn't the best, we did. The technicians installing the router were great. 2 weeks into the trial I contacted the guy that gave us the free trial to let him know the service wasn't reliable due to my building or equipment, either way, I needed someone to pick up the router. He didn't answer the text. So my next text was "who do I contact to come get this." He replied, said he'd pick it up over a week ago (see in pictures). It's coming up pretty close to the month mark so they'd be able to charge. I imagine dragging his feet has to do with commission if they make a sale. I called Ziply and I've spoken to nice people "who made an appointment to get the equipment" but told me they are transferring me for service cancellation. I have been on hold for 33 minutes. Just come get your stuff please. Update- stayed on hold for another 20 in addition to the 33minutes, until I decided to hang up and call back. I was now informed the sales person lied, it wasn't a free trial, and they also weren't authorized to retrieve equipment. "My Bill" for my "free trial" was 50$. The woman on the phone previously, lied about a tech coming to get the equipment, they are also not authorized to do so. That's on a recorded line. I was now informed to send the equipment back with a label, UPS, while they were still going to charge $50 for service. By the end of the conversation, in which I told her that they are scammers. she decided not to charge me the 50$ but 1.94$ in what I assume is for taxes. WOW. Beware neighbors. Time is $. I have 1 day off a week. So shout out to Ziply for wasting hours of my life, lying multiple times, and "gifting" me such a little charge on my "free trial" that I tried to end 2 weeks in. My account was still expected to be paid in full without any documentation provided. 1) On 2/12/26, my bill was paid in full, even though I had repeatedly asked for my issue to be escalated before payment, and that escalation never occurred. 2) Despite paying my bill in full, I was never given or sent a single bill or any notification from Ziply before this date. My repeated requests for billing information prior to payment have been ignored. This lack of clarity and transparency made it extremely difficult for me to feel confident in the accuracy of the amount I was being asked to pay, causing significant stress and inconvenience. 3) I have asked how a phone can be in service for a year without a single payment and no notifications or bills ever being sent. I was informed that you do not disconnect phones unless they are grossly overdue. According to RCW 80.36.300, telecommunications companies are required to provide customers with clear and written disconnection policies and advance notice prior to suspension or termination of service. I request a detailed explanation and a written policy for this process, as well as an audit of my account status for that year, in accordance with the requirements outlined in RCW 80.36.300. After my inquiries, I specifically requested an outage report for my area so I would not be billed for periods without service. I was informed that I was not entitled to this information. However, as a customer, I am entitled to outage credits under FCC and Washington state rules, which require service providers to issue billing adjustments or credits for periods when service is unavailable due to outages. I formally request the relevant outage data and any applicable credits for the period during which I was without service, as required by these regulations. The rest of my demands are listed below. The only response is that, the day after the bill was paid in full, Ziply reactivated my account. and mailed me a bill for 2/13/26 - 3/13/26. However, as of this day, 3/9/26, I still do not have phone service. Billing for services not rendered is clearly outlined in the RCWs of the state of Washington. Edit: I waited on the phone for an hour and a half for a supervisor and they are giving me a credit for the amount I was overcharged, so that is nice and appreciated, and makes me feel a little better again. I was really happy with my service with Ziply (since 2023) until today, when a technician informed me that I have a router on my account (which I've been paying $15 a month for over two years and was magically added 6 months after I initially started service) and when I called and spoke to customer service they let me know that essentially I should have known that I didn't have the equipment and they will not refund me the $465 owed to me because the terms state it or something. So, I guess because I trusted them not to charge me for equipment I don't have, it's my fault. Makes sense and seems to be a great way to make money for them! All this was revealed when I called to have phone service added. The first person I spoke to (Ashley? I couldn't understand her when she said her name) messed EVERYTHING up and told me multiple things that were untrue, requiring another call the same day to straighten out with another agent. My parents used Ziply Fiber. I don't know much about them other than billing. I know that when my mom got sick I set her account up on autopay. I am at fault for not getting her service turned off while I was busy doing all of the things that come with the passing of a parent. I missed that bill when I was shutting things off. When I spoke with Ziply about this they told me that they couldn't close the account because the phone line could be needed for emergency services. They did close the account after 6 months. They also billed my mom for those 6 months. I asked if there was anything that could be done about that bill, partial payment, exception, proof of usage, anything. No. Your mom didn't cancel the bill when she died, so you need to pay $1000 for 6 months when no one used the service. I know I'm not faultless. I know I shouldn't have made a mistake while I was dealing with the death of my mother. Ziply will get their pound of flesh and I will never condone, advise, suggest, support, or endorse anyone to ever use their service. I have been attempting to convert my residential internet to business internet and it has been less than pleasant in terms of lack of communication and planning. Fortunately, I've had concerns about their service as a residential plan member so I procured a backup line while the transition was supposed to be happening. I may just stick with that. I cannot believe the incompetence of the call center agents who are trained to respond with scripted messages and have no idea the territory or field needs this company is actually responsible for! They quote you a price and in a few months, it increases with no explanation and no way to get back your original agreement. As of recent, I have been waiting for a response for to have their service line on my property moved so I can excavate the ground for a building. My project has been on hold this whole time! When I immediately told the representative to revert my account back to the original plan, I was told they "could not undo the change," even though I never authorized it in the first place. After a lengthy and frustrating argument, the only solution offered was a new price of $70, which I agreed to because I was left with no other option. Fast forward to the next billing cycle: my bill is now $95, not the agreed-upon $70. Ziply refuses to honor the quoted price despite the fact that they provide a written transcript confirming the details of the agreement. This experience reflects poorly on Ziply Fiber's billing practices, customer service, and internal controls. DO NOT ORDER SERVICES FROM ZIPLEY! The DSL service is horrible. The internet connection will drop for 10 seconds to a minute for seemingly no reason. This happens several tine per week. It really sucks when I'm on a a Wi-Fi call. I recently experienced a complete service outage. I called them in the early AM to ask if there was an outage and was told there was not. The service was out all day so I called the next day and was told there was not an outage in my area, si I scheduled a service visit for the following morning. ( I postponed leaving on vacation for a day). The service person never showed up. I call again and was told there was not an outage in my area. the following day (now 3 days without service) I received a text message stating ""There is a service outage and if you have a service visit scheduled, the repair person may not show up...") Their customer service is oversease, which is annoying, and the support representatives end up wasting so much of your time by being overly-polite and saying "Thank you for holding I appreciate it so much" after every sentence. Worst customer service I've ever encountered. New installation appointment was canceled 3 times with no warning or reason as to why. Every time I called to find out what was going on I was transferred to multiple different departments that had no idea and couldn't help me. When I initially signed up for the service I believed it was going to be smooth, oh was I mistaken. received two notifications 4 days apart rescheduling with no explanation until you call and they let you know that the company has to wait for their processes to happen meaning the techs to lay the line. My last reschedule was from December 4th to January 4th, 2026. So to get service through them and have to wait almost 2 months?! Seems a bit ridiculous to me. The customer service representatives must really love their jobs to have others complain to them and they take the unfortunate frustrations for the other side of the business. After not having ANY notification in Lewiston Idaho, of fiber installation in our neighborhood, we learned of it through city workers marking utility lines. So we had a neighborhood meeting and a Ziply rep came, as well as the mayor and the city attorney. We learned Ziply "dropped the bucket" with the notification. They promised to do door hangers on our street which they did four days after the meeting, but without any beginning or estimated completion date. We also learned that there was nothing we could do because Ziply had obtained a utility license as a communications company through the state, giving them an open ticket to our yards and the right of way. Ziply promised to work closely with us, to leave our property as they found it or better. That was the first lie. i drove around the block on the weekend and there were uncovered holes, some incompletely covered and others with just a cone to try to cover holes that ranged anywhere from 12" deep to 5 feet deep. Uncoiled fiber line was left strewn across yards and out in the street causing tripping hazards and dead grass. I was contacted by the local Ziply supervisor and he assured me that mine and my neighbors property wouldn't be disturbed and that my main concern, which was the four mailbox post would not be knocked over when they ran the line under it. Concerned too, that neighbors rock pond would not be destroyed. Second lie. We were also told that Ziply boxes would be placed in front on the properties of about every three or four houses. Third lie. We were informed that the lines would be placed on one side of the street only. Fourth lie. Ziply ran lines on both sides of the street. There are Ziply boxes on every single property at every house. They destroyed the brick around the neighbors rock pond and left it looking horrible. They dug huge holes on both sides and under the mailboxes, therefore knocked the post completely out. I had to tell them to leave the mailboxes alone but they backfilled the hole, put the post back in but it will have to be removed, cemented in and made level and up to city codes. It is now leaning forward and could fall over with a good wind or heavy rain. I have since learned that one block over they hit a main power line and ruptured a sewer line. Ziply hired a construction company from out of state, so not only did they leave our city without any say about laying this fiber in the first place, they didn't hire locally to support our city. I think within our block they might get 1 customer out of 60 homes. people are too upset with the mess they made and left. And if the construction company hired by Ziply doesn't do any requested repair work, Ziply will not pay for it. So we are left to flip the bill to get things fixed to their original condition. Ziply is a huge conglomerate that considers Residents as just people in their way. They could care less about your satisfaction and will lie to your face.
