I've moved my kids multiple times with shady movers (I have stories!) and this was a walk in the park. First of all , my quote was done over the phone through FaceTime. Steve knew exactly what he was doing and asked all the pertinent questions. His quote was fair and extremely accurate. Before the scheduled move we were able to move quite a few small boxes and items ourselves as we had access to the new home. Steve was happy to adjust the quote (through FaceTime again) and it was astonishingly accurate. The crew was fantastic! Adan was the crew leader and all the men were very proficient in packing, moving and communicating with us throughout the day. They were all friendly and very accommodating to how we wanted things placed in the new home. Also, Brenda in the office was quite helpful with scheduling the move, explaining the billing, and answering any questions we had. Cannot say enough good things about this company. As I said, we've been burned by other companies so I was relieved to have such a pleasant experience with Prager.

The roof was caving in and particles kept falling on my items, mold was atrocious. Obviously, if I store it, it is important to me. However, not to them. The mice were also entering and eating any bags or boxes. It was very upsetting. Thank goodness for new owners. I was going to move the next hike in price when I decided to voice my concerns with new owner. Right away, Pricilla, property manager reached out and immediately moved me to a better, clean and close by unit. As difficult as it is to move, I immediately started to move before my belongings completely got destroyed. This new owner is awesome. Really know what customer service is. Comforting because customer service has long been gone and non-existent. Thank you, Priscilla. I called up Move Assist, Mark the owner answered the phone, I gave him the general amount of furniture and other stuff we wanted to move the date and they have quotes on their website so you can get an idea of the prices. Plus you can provide the truck or they can. They arrived, surveyed the apartment and got to work, how they managed to fit everything into that truck I will never know but they did! And really fast too! They made sure to wrap up out delicate furniture and make sure our glass doors were safe. Brought our stuff up to the 2nd floor (at no extra charge!) and put it just where we wanted it. They were a third of the cost of a large moving company!! They came to pack up my 1 bedroom apartment in Chicago and all the movers were fairly pleasant. However, the driver was SO RUDE. He kept complaining that there was no where to park (mind you it's a city) and my relocation specialist was supposed to get a parking permit. He blamed myself and my boyfriend for not getting this although we were assured it was taken care of. At the end after 8 hours of packing, he told my boyfriend that it was a disgrace that we were so cheap and sad that we couldn't afford a parking permit. We ended up giving them all a tip, including the driver and he just scoffed at us and said this changes nothing. Additionally, nothing was wrapped in blankets in terms of the furniture which all has scratches and marks over everything. I opened most boxes almost in tears of how poorly the materials were packed and all the damages. After 8 hours, would have thought everything would be packed correctly. They also didn't label half the boxes for mark off and the moving company who unpacked me (different) even said they thought Planes did a horrible job and I should request money back due to how bad it was. This was supposed to be a stressless move due to having relocation services but was one of the most stressful times of my life due to Planes.
