They probably should have said so immediately and not have taken so much time to complete the job or offer to help move boxes around when they noticed there was still some time left. They both also lingered after to converse with me, both of them shook my hand and asked me to keep them in mind for future moves. Update: After a rude message from their manager, Joe, implying the damage to the stuff they moved was possibly my fault, I have to lower their star rating. When the first moving company I hired failed to confirm their services 48 hours before the move date I was forced to call around to find another company who could do the job on short notice. Well Move You 4 Less stepped up and they even showed up 30 minutes early. Which I appreciated because I wasn't forced to wait around. However, I can't honestly say that all of my belongings made it to my new place in one piece. Some items were damaged and because of that I cannot, in good conscience, leave them 5 stars. I originally contacted this business 3 weeks in advance of my move because they had good reviews but Frankie was quite difficult to get a hold of on the phone. He never asked for the addresses, there was only text confirmation, and 48 hours before the scheduled move time, I had to request a phone call to make sure the move was still happening due to lack of communication. It sounds like he was overbooked on the day I had asked about because he originally agreed to a morning start time and came back 4 days before the move to ask if we could do mid-afternoon. I agreed but asked for a time confirmation. When he finally got back to me, he said his helper crashed the truck so they wouldn't be able to move anymore and mentioned multiple times how stressful it was for him. This was less than 48 hours before my scheduled move time. Overall, I found the service unprofessional, somewhat shady, and extremely stressful in dealing with. I want to support small businesses but this is not one I would give another chance to. read more

We originally booked this business three weeks before our move. They reached out and asked for additional details (time of move, what there is to move, what the apartments are like, if they had elevators, etc.) and specifically asked to let me know if there were any issues. I provided all information and never got a response back, so I assumed everything was good and we were okay to proceed as scheduled. I reached back out 11 days before our move asking a question about insurance per our building's request. I did not get a response. I reached back out 8 days before our move, and he answered my insurance question. However, he then said he was reviewing the information I had provided him originally (almost two weeks earlier), and that there were "red flags" about our move that would preclude them from helping us. One of the "red flags" was our start time. I booked them for an afternoon move. They told me their arrival window was 1-2pm. I stated closer to 1 would be ideal but 2 would work as it was still in the timeframe of our elevator reservation. He then said since I requested a "morning" move (I didn't), and they couldn't arrive by the time I needed them (per their arrival window, they could), it wouldn't work. Again, I explained that their arrival window was fine for us, but he was adamant that it wouldn't work for some reason. Another "red flag" was that we only booked for three hours. He estimated it would take a 2-man crew 6 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment. Mind you, UHaul recommends booking 2 movers for 3-4 hours for a 2 bed move. We also told him we would be happy to finish what didn't get done in the timeframe, and we just wanted three hours of help and it was okay if it wasn't entirely finished. Still, he forced us to cancel and go with another company. The entire experience was unprofessional and showed that this company does not pay attention to detail or care to review moves before they commit to them, only to cancel on you 1 week before your move. I don't want to even think about when he would have cancelled on us if I hadn't reached out to him about the insurance question, prompting him to review the information he requested. I have a feeling he would have cancelled on us with very little time left before our move. If you book this company, please be careful and make sure the person who contacts you has entirely reviewed your request and agreed to what you are asking. Otherwise, you may get put in a difficult spot. read more

Great moving experience and nearly perfect. Frankie was a little "too nervous" about payment because his Zelle was acting up even though I sent him a screenshot of it being paid and confirmed by my bank. He nearly moved to requiring cash which wasn't a feasible option. That's why only 4 stars...BUT beyond that he was very flexible when the Apartment we were moving to was jerking us around and made us switch days at the last minute. Great moving experience with being efficient, punctual, and affordable. I would recommend them and will use them again if/when needed. read more

I definitely recommend frank and brian. These guys moved me in one of the worse snow days in Chicago this year! They didnt cancel or suggest another day, they texted and said they were showing up and they did. I got to give it to them to work with snow and ice the whole time! Move for less came with a truck and 3 guys, moved everything into a multiple level home in 6 hours. No damage to the walls or floors even with moving a standup gun safe and oversized bedroom Furniture. I've used them three times for in and out of town houses, apartments, and storage lockers. We communicated well, they were responsive and gave me a great deal. I'm just absolutely shocked. I initially used Frankie and his team back in November when we were moving into the Chicago area. His men worked fast, they were efficient, polite, and even set up built furniture for us because they had extra time. (We had initially hired them just to unload.) 6 months later we are moving back across the country (job opportunity) so they are my first call to help us load the POD like units we will be renting from U-Haul. That's when things turn south. He argues with me about the dimensions of the boxes despite me getting the measurements directly off the website. Says I am wrong and I must be using a different company, so I send him a picture of what I am looking at on the U-Haul website. It is worth noting that visible in the picture from the website there is a note that says some models of boxes are smaller. We have intentionally rented an extra box than what U-Haul recommends for our size of home just to ensure we can fit everything. Frankie continues to go off about how he is right, blah blah blah. If you need someone cheap and efficient, his team is great, but if customer service means anything to you, look elsewhere. read more

This is by far the best moving experience that I have had. The owner and his team showed up on time and communicated effectively leading up to their arrival. My moving bags and suitcases didn't show up on time so I had a lot of small tideious items in random bags (which made their job much more difficult then expected) they worked flawlessly and very efficient and STILL finished my move on time. When moving day came, he called when he was 10 minutes away and showed up on time. There were 2 movers, Frankie and another guy. Frankie was unloading the truck while the other mover moved all of my belongings into the apartment. I hired Frank to move us from one house to another. At first, I interpreted the negative reviews as him just being thorough and perhaps misunderstandings. In trying to prepare for the move, Frank was asking us many many questions, and unfortunately I couldn't answer the questions (I hadn't set up the u-haul rental, my husband had and he wasn't available). I told him several times that I didn't know the answers and I would call him back, but he kept asking me questions about various things. At one point (after a long and stressful day at work and frustration that I couldn't provide the information that he needed), I stated that I needed to call him later, because I was getting frustrated (that I didn't know the answers). He immediately started very strongly saying that I was clearly a difficult customer and he didn't want to deal with me and was not going to work with me. I tried to explain that I wasn't upset with him, just the situation but he wouldn't listen and just quit on us! This was after 5:00 pm the night before our move! We had to find someone else to move us with no notice. The only company, after a dozen calls, available was horrible too. He put us in a horrific situation, which was extremely unprofessional! We have used these guys 2 times in the last year. We moved from Denver to Naperville just over a year ago. We knew we would be tired from the drive and wouldn't want to move all of our stuff to the third floor of our apartment building. These guys were on time and unloaded our uhaul in a very reasonable time frame. Because of the great experience we had with them last year, we used them again about a month ago to move our belongings into an upgraded apartment within the same complex. Frank was extremely easy to speak with to plan my move. His crew arrived on-time (adjusted and came early upon my request and their availability from finishing a prior job sooner). The crew of two extremely capable and kind gentleman were swift in loading all of my boxes and furniture into a rented truck. They took the time to help pack my TV, glass coffee table, glasses/plates that I hadn't finished, and bag up my mattress and box spring. They finished the job in 3 hours and had originally quoted me for 4 hours. I had found them and booked using U-Haul's integrated mover's finder, but feel that I would have a gotten a better price if I had booked them directly.
