I drove all the way to this particular location with a decorative pillow that only needed dye stain removal and they couldn't even do that. Am I missing something? Is anyone able to tell me why they can't do a basic service such as dye removal? I thought that's what cleaners were for? Safe yourself a heartache and disappointment. I dropped off a high end wool coat at the end of October. Staff acted concerned at first and I was told their policy is We (the customer) have to give them 30 days to find my item. It's been 90 days and my coat was not found and they last email I received from Juli was an offer of $200 for my coat who was stolen by someone there. This coat belong to my late brother and was very expensive. I have requested to speak to higher management or owner. My emails are being ignored. I will follow up with police report and a small court claim. read more

The attitude of the gentleman when I dropped off the clothes were very pleasant. But his attitude when I went to pick up the clothes, maybe he was having a bad day it was totally different. (Not Welcoming) very dry like he was having a bad day. The quantity of work was very disappointed the hanger presentation the clothes look like they hadn't been ironed. I asked for lightly starch. I don't think there was any starch applied to the seven shirts I had done. The quality of work that the Burnet Rd store puts out is no comparison to South Lamar. Horrible experience. Brought in a perfectly white dress that was very expensive ($600) that they turned pink, tried to return to white (and failed to do so) and then ruined the material. I'm really disappointed with Zips' customer service--rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. I've been calling and visiting all week about my blue jumpsuit, which my mom got me for my birthday and is really special to me. It's been with them since Tuesday, and now it's Saturday, and it's still not ready. On Friday, customer service assured me it would be ready in time for my event today, yet when I arrived, I was met with an incredibly rude associate who refused to give me an ETA or make any effort to locate it. I just called again, and the same associate told me she doesn't know how to contact the cleaning plant and that I'll have to wait until Monday for the manager to help. Up until a week ago I was happy with my experience and pricing. 2 weeks ago I brought in a $90 golf polo that had been worn ONCE! Upon it's return the collar had been cut out of the shirt and it was now a v neck. I was stunned. I filled out a damage form. Upon returning this week I asked about the shirt and the clerk called someone who said it was "under investigation". Not sure what they are investigating, but I don't care how it happened, I just want to know what they will do about it. The clerk told me "stay on them" and I asked how do I do that? I have been a customer of Zip's Dry Cleaning for many years but unfortunately have had the worst time as a customer interacting with the Austin Burnet Location. I've had 2 incidents that have happened in the last few months and the staff they have hired for the front desk is very rude. The lady is arrogant, very stern and dismissive. They have lost my dress (which had sentimental value) and have had multiple delays in getting my order completed. Was asked to speak to the GM after the lost my dress, only for him to tell me to enter a Customer Problem Report. I have given my clothes to the South Lamar location and they go an extra mile to help, but unfortunately the Burnet location is horrible! I would encourage you to find another franchise for Zips to work with or find a different dry cleaner as they don't do much at this location to help you & your lost item (which you trusted them with) isn't their priority. They wash their hands off pretty easily without any regrets. I have also not been reimbursed for the dry clean amount ($4.99) or my Dress. They are the worst customer experience I've had. read more

This past Monday (09/15/2025), I visited Zip Cleaners for the very first time to have my clothes dry cleaned. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect because my past experiences with other well-known cleaners have been frustrating: excuses, chaos, overcharges, lost items, and poor customer service. Walking into Zip Cleaners was a completely different experience. I was helped by two employees, Luanne and (I believe) Marissa. Even though I could tell they were very busy, they didn't let that stop them from providing excellent service. They listened carefully as I explained what I needed, balanced the work they were already handling, and still catered to my requests with professionalism and patience. I'll admit, I can sometimes be a bit demanding in situations like this, and I know I didn't make things easier for them. But both of them handled everything with a smile and gave me exceptional customer service. It really stood out to me. Please let Luanne and Marissa know they're doing a fantastic job. I've never had bad service here, and they have been pretty consistent over the last couple of years. Last week, I got a call from Eric that there was a delay with a few of my shirts due to the fact that they were unable to locate one of them. At first, it was a bit concerning, but Eric was up front with the situation and promised he would follow up. After doing some investigation work, Eric located my shirt! Awful! Had three simple tasks to do on pants. Dropped off on a Friday to get back on a Monday but heard nothing u til Thursday when I finally got round to calling. I called and they said not all three were done. But they would try and do all three. 2 minutes later I got a completion message. Weird! They altered several pieces of clothing for me and did a wonderful job. I was pleased with how fast they worked. They even provide a separate dressing room for people to try on the clothes we want altered. It's hidden among the many businesses along burnet, but the people who run it are friendly. If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. I dropped off dress pants to have the seam and a minor hole sewn. Upon picking up the pants and returning home, the pants had 1) a black patch when the pants are navy 2) unnecessary extra sewing on the outside of the pants, making it impossible to wear the pants I called the burnet store, spoke to Peggy, who was rude and said it wasn't her fault. I simply asked for the manager, who was not in the store. I brought the pants back to have the store hold them for her to see and asked they do not touch the pants until I speak with the manager. I had to wait 3 days to speak with the manager. THREE DAYS. She informed me that they took the stitching out and tried to fix the incorrect stitching. AFTER, I said to not touch them. ZERO STARS! This was my first and last time taking my clothes to Zips. The attendant was rude when I dropped the clothes to press only. I repeated - to press only. Maybe she was having a bad day. I went back today to pick up my clothes and confirmed, she is rude and should not work with people. As I started checking my clothes I noticed one of them, which is 100% silk blouse from Anthropologie was looking as wrinkled as when I took it in. Not only it wasn't pressed properly, but it had a huge blue ink stain right on the front, by the ruffled collar. It looked like some sort of marker. Who handles a marker while dealing with client's clothes? This is an expensive blouse that I wore twice. Not a good first experience. When I complained the attendant simply handled me a new ticket and took the blouse. Not a word, not an apology, just bad attitude. When I got home I went to inspect the other items more closely to then realize the smell of chemicals. All my clothes were dry cleaned, when what I asked for was to press only. Another bad surprise, one of my work dresses from Banana Republic, which is pretty new looks now faded and has huge chemical stains on the sides. When I trusted you my clothes I was looking for help with pressing, because I'm not having the time to do it. Now I don't have a blouse and a dress. Who will pay for the damage? read more

NEVER GO HERE. I went here to get my work clothes dry cleaned. Got them back and not only HAD THEY NOT WASHED THEM (I can literally smell the sweat on them and see the dirt stains that were there when I took them in) but they FUCKED THEM UP. The collar of my wool shirts is completely stretched out and is unrecognizable to how it originally was. My pants have burn stains from the iron on them. And in all of them the fabric is warped. Save yourself a trip and money and just wash your clothes yourself. read more

They lost my shirts but had my pants?? I'm confused because they were in the same bag. 3 people came in after me had the SAME ISSUE! Clearly there's issues here. I'm never coming here again. I'll be disputing the charge with my bank. Also they don't do any of the cleaning here. They send everything to a factory and then bring it back to the store which is why I'm sure they have issues. I stopped using dry cleaners since my job discontinued our on-site service. I noticed this place driving by one day and made a mental note to check them out. The set up inside seems clean and nice. I brought in SEVEN of my nice work blazers. THREE of them needed alterations--shoulder pads removed from two and inside stitching repaired on the other. All of them needed dry cleaning. The store associate told me she couldn't combine the alterations and dry cleaning on one ticket. So, instead of calling someone and trying to find out how to accomplish this, she told me that when I return to pick up all items, I could open a new ticket to have the altered items cleaned. So, I'd be making three trips. I sent a summary of this to customer care and advised that they train their employees so that customers aren't inconvenienced. The manager that contacted me was very attentive and explained the numerous ways he would address the issues, one being that my altered items would be dry-cleaned when I picked everything up. This review could have gone a lot differently if this company was more careful with the resolution. Another concern I mentioned in my first report was the fact that the store associate had me speak to the seamstress about what alterations I needed. The seamstress doesn't speak much English so we communicated with gestures to explain shoulder pads needed to be removed from two blazers and I showed her the inside lining that needed to be repaired on the third blazer. The only notes that were made were on the shoulder pads, which is indicated on the receipt. Nothing notated about inside lining repair. This worried me. I didn't return to pick up my blazers until a week after I dropped them off. I was handed 4 dry cleaned blazers. When I asked about the 3 altered ones, the same associate who helped me the first time, told me they had already been picked up. I told her that was a mistake. Yet again, she tried to turn me away and said she would have someone contact me the next day. I asked her to contact someone now. I ended up just calling the manager, Jim, who contacted me about my initial visit. The experience became awful at this point. He told me he would review cameras and figure out what happened. *Skip over one more week of back and forth with Jim* I called this location to inquire about the status of my search and they told me my blazers were located. You would think after everything, they'd have made it a priority to let me know my garments were found. So, after having my outstanding blazers for a total of two weeks, I go to pick up my three items. I'm sitting in my car inspecting the work, and see that the two blazers had the shoulder pads correctly removed. But, the inside lining on the third blazer had not been repaired. I text Jim. No answer. When I got home to hang my clothes up, I realized that the same blazer that didn't have the lining repaired, had the thin shoulder padding (not the thick traditional shoulder pads) removed. These were not meant to be removed. Obviously, because in the process of doing so, the seamstress damaged the arm-to-shoulder seam and tried to repair it. The repair work is messy and the blazer is practically a sweater. I had to trash it. And, I text Jim again, but no answer. Yet, he text me the next evening regarding re-selling used hangers. So, he thought he was texting someone else. This is after also after butt-dialing me on two separate occasions during the whole ordeal. This place is unprofessional, unskilled and unorganized. This all happened on my first ever visit, and you can't tell me it's bad timing or isolated. The dry cleaning itself isn't bad, and you might stand a chance of a smooth outcome if dry cleaning is all you want done. But, that's a maybe. read more

I dropped off thirteen items at this location Monday afternoon and I went back Wednesday a day afte rmy clothes was supposed to be ready and they only had 3. It is now Friday and no one can seem to tell me where the other 10 items went! They had said they are going to look and call me back but I there is never a call back with any information. Instead they have just give me the number to all the other ZIPS locations in town so I can call and ask around to see if anyone has my clothes. It is the worst experience I have ever had at a dry cleaning service. It has been five days since I dropped my clothes off and 4 days after it was supposed to be ready at this point i'm sure my clothes is lost and no one can seem to tell me what steps to take at this point. After she said my suit wouldn't be ready until 5 the next day I asked why, she said "well the ticket time wouldn't say 9am so it won't be ready until 5pm the next day". I told her I arrived before 9am but then her excuse was "well we haven't had same day service in a while" yet the website has a same day "promise". Do not fall for false advertisement & do not go to this location as customer service doesn't exist. Also, a side note I needed my suit ready for a funeral but they couldn't accommodate.
