My son suggested this place. I'm glad he did because I ordered the gyros wrap with salad and boy was it a meal. I didn't want the salad but they don't serve à la carte. The gyros was very hearty. The meat was plentiful and delicious. It had the lettuce, red onion, and tomatoes in it. The tzatziki sauce was on the side but I used every bit of it and I was so satisfied. I didn't even eat the salad and neither did my son. He had a gyros plate that came with a salad too. The salad could have been an entree. And the salad was so fresh and crispy. Here's a picture with our salads to go. It was so reasonable. They also served lamb, chicken and some other dishes that didn't look familiar to me but I'll probably try next time. Great spot for lunch with some outdoor seating. The service is always welcoming & friendly! Had the Gyro Sandwich w/fries and a fountain drink. I like the texture of the fries... crunchy, yet soft, and they stay hot. Sandwich was packed nicely with the right balance of meat & veggies. Tzatziki sauce comes on the side in a small container along with the ketchup but it was actually just the right amount of sauce. I like that nothing was in packages (ketchup), so I just asked for extra with ease. In addition, my lunch partner had the Lamb Wrap and I came to learn this was their go-to on a regular. This food was super fresh and delicious, I normally get food to go but was able to eat here. Customer service was great, they are super busy and it took a minute for our order to be taken but the customer service. I have always had fresh food, any order. Ambiance is a quick come and sit and leave, definitely not meant for romantic dates lol. We had to wait for silverware to be washed. Will I come back yes, customer for life and the prices are spot on for the portions. 1st time getting food from here and it was amazing! I got the falafel pita meal w fries and my man got the chicken shawarma. Both were amazing! The place is in a strip mall in Ahwatukee so keep an eye out when looking for them. Both pita meals were huge and alot of fries too! Prices are really great too for the amount of food you get. Been going here for the last three years. Did not have an issue until now. We tried calling earlier and after waiting on hold for over 15 minutes (they just put the phone down and let you listen to to others working around the phone, then ignored you), we figured they were not in a people talking mood and ordered online for pickup. My husband arrives on time and once he walked in everyone froze and just had this terrified look on their faces like we was going to rob the place. No greeting. No hello, how may I help you, just pure terror. He then says there is a pickup idea in his name. They quickly run and give it to him saying nothing else. He gets home and we find out the order was not correct and is missing the one thing he was really looking forward to (the $6 piece of tiny baklava). This is the third time they "forgot" the baklava. I think it's a thing with them. More free money for them. Food was ok. Very salty and my usually crisp and hot fries were cold and soggy. My salad was totally wrong. The one good thing is the salad was cold and the rest of the food was warm-ish. Two entries and baklava came to $54 after tip, taxes and fees. It is sad that another used to be awesome place has lost any care for customer service and great food. Will not be returning. read more

Exactly the kind of spot I would frequent at least 2-3 times a week. It seems like this place is family-owned as well. The quality of the meat in their Gyro Entree was 10/10. Their pita bread and french fries were also very delicious, my toddler loved them. Hummus was also top quality. I can only leave a review for their chicken because that's all I ever get. I work just across the parking lot @LittleBunsUltrasound studio and I eat ZK Grill about twice a week! The small hummus was quite small, I came in the small cups used for salsa. I didn't like the taste much. It was a little bitter. The pita bread was great, warm and soft, which I enjoyed. The lamb was nicely seasoned. I ordered Tzatziki to pair with the rice and lamb. The salad was just like any house salad. The dressing was good. The tzatziki was cheaper than the hummus, but I was given a larger quantity of the tzatziki in comparison to the hummus even though they were both small. We stopped by to get two meals for takeout at lunchtime. Wanted to be in and out. We stood there waiting 35 minutes for the food. Finally, as we were asking for a refund, the food came up. We ran home with it and tried to wolf it down before 1:00 pm meetings. The gyro meat was okay, though at one point I bit into something hard and thought I cracked a tooth. Some of the vegetables in the salad were brown (as in old), though there were fries in my salad (we did not order fries). The pita bread was burned. I have no idea what has happened, but I hope this place hasn't gone down a slope of mediocrity. I went here recently and the normal staff was replaced with other people that I don't think knew what they were doing. The service was really slow. My aunt and cousin waited over 20 minutes for a caesar salad and a wrap with fries. Food was pretty good, whoever is frying their fries isn't doing a good job though. They were overcooked and sticking together, it felt like ones you buy frozen and heat up in an oven at home. ZK grill is a local spot where I can enjoy some delicious and quick Persian food. The kabobs are great. I love their pomegranate dressing. The dips are great too. If you are feeling adventurous try their Persian yogurt drink called Doogh. It's salty but great if you allow yourself to enjoy the flavor as you pair it with the rice and meat of your choice! -- Oh yes, and try their stew gormeh's too. Those are less known but staples of the Persian cuisine. Persian food is never spicy. Usually either sour, salty or sweet. Enjoy this local spot. It's a gem! read more

Pretty good!!! My husband and I shared the Eggplant, side of French fries and a combo plate of kobedah (ground beef) and a small side of tzatziki. Eggplant was ok, my husband and I were happy we tried it, but we wouldn't get it again. The French fries were so great!!! So crispy and fluffy. The meat and rice were super yummy too!! Arrived at 7:41 Monday evening. A man just flipped the front door sign to closing as I walked out my car. Completely rude and disrespectful. When I walked in clarify that they close at 8pm, the man responded "yes we close at 8, but it takes a while to turn off the ovens so we are closing now". Good bye ZK Grill. it was late afternoon, we were ready for lunch. We jumped off ath chandler and thought we saw someting in this large lot. We stopped, got out and looked around and ZK was right there! 50 feet away. Ok - We will try it. and we are so glad we did. The place was empty a 2 in the PM and we chose to split a CHicken Shawarma salad. It was perfect. It took about 10 plus minutes to cook and it was so worth to wait. If we lived nearby we would surely make this a regular stop. The staff was so nice. I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. (photo attached is my face after eating ZK Grill) I recommend the beef combo, but the best part is if you can't decide on a meat you can mix and match 2 of them!! Say what??? They give you a HEAPING pile of rice, a pita, and a delicious grilled tomato to add some juice to your plate! The service is great, and fast too! ZOOOM. That's the sound you hear when your food arrives, which will have you thinking "woah, that was fast!" The decor is pretty cool too. We used to come here often to get the pomegranate chicken and then I guess we forgot about it. So we went back a few days ago and it was as good as before. It seems to be owned or run by a family and they are friendly without being pushy. We of course both ordered the pomegranate chicken (it's only available on Fridays) and my husband got his with salad and I subbed fries for mine. The chicken and the rich sauce it comes in was as good as we remembered but I think the price has gone up. That's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. You get 4 little chicken nugget sized pieces of real white meat chicken in a large bowl of sauce. The sauce is great to eat with rice so that can go to help fill you up as the chicken doesn't. For 2 dinners and 2 fountain sodas the total was $29. They should include the soft drink in the $11 meal price. If they did we would be there more often again. read more
