Just for comparison sake, a labradorite smooth tumbled palm size stone at House of Intuition on Melrose was $46, and I got an incredible large heavy sphere for $50 with this guy. I am still so thrilled with my finds! The shop owner was very knowledgeable and nice to us! We had fun playing in his collection. My friends picked up some very special pieces from him too. From shelves of color coded stones to bins of raw minerals to glass cases... every surface seems to be covered with stones and yet organized in a way that even my OCD was smiling. I spoke with the owner, Mr. Kai, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He patiently answered all my questions about the crystals -- their quality, grading, and pricing -- no matter how many times I asked. Kai clearly has deep knowledge and passion, and he happily explained what makes each stone valuable and unique. I went in just expecting to lie down, relax, and listen to singing bowls for an hour (which would have been great on its own) but this was so much more than that! In addition to the singing bowls, there were lots of other lovely sounds. One of the healing practitioners had what looked like a large shakuhachi style flute. She would walk around and set the base down on the ground, a few inches from our bodies, and play it. And you could not only hear it- you could FEEL the vibrations resonating through your body! The best part was that one of the other healing practitioners walked around did mini Reiki sessions with each of the participants. Even though it was a group session, I experienced PROFOUND healing. I had been experiencing extreme muscle tension in my neck for the past three weeks. I had a massage earlier that week and even the massage did not relieve the tension. But a few hours after I left the sound bath, the tension was COMPLETELY GONE! Such an amazing experience! I will definitely be back!
