I went in on a day when nobody else was there and I told them I only had an hour of my lunch. I asked if I would be able to get my sandwich before my 1 hour was up and they told me that since nobody was there that they could easily do that. After an hour and 15 minutes I finally received the worst sandwich i've ever had in Pullman. It was cold and I was late to work. I've recently tried their food again but it was just as bad as a remember it. Save yourself the trouble and get a sandwich from Subway even if the tuna is fake. read more

The food is very average here. Like most places in Pullman on Dad's or mom's weekend or any weekend when there is a big Cougar's football game, they are packed with people who want to eat breakfast. In line with that, there is a long line and a wait list serviced by people who act like they are doing you a favor by just letting you eat in their establishment. Today I ordered the basic Palouse Faire (which is eggs any way you like them, sausage, or bacon (ham is for some reason an extra dollar). First of all, our sever whose name begins with a K, seemed a bit indignant that after having waited for a table and being seated that we did not know what we wanted within the first 15 seconds. We did manage to decide after less than five minutes but our food took about a half hour to come, which is pretty long for a breakfast place. The eggs were a bit overcooked and did not taste like they had been cooked in anything that added flavor. The one piece of toast(that apparently constitutes a toast order) was barely toasted, luke-warm and barely had any butter on it. It was not really very appetizing. The hash browns tasted like they were cooked in used cooking oil and were pretty disappointing. I definitely do not think that I would ever come back to this place as it's just too much like most of the other similar places in Pullman that make you wait for a long time, provide mediocre service and have the attitude that they don't have time to provide quality food and a service. Frankly this town needs some competition in its breakfast scene as I don't have much sympathy for people who operate eateries and provide crappy service and mediocre food as this place does. From their perspective, they are very put upon to have to wait on the countless hoards of WSU students and their dads on dad's weekend but I disagree and would simply say if you're in the business, you need to do better and try to not act like a government agency where people have no other choice. I've never had a good experience with pick-up orders - placed either in person or ahead of time through their website. Today was the worst I've experienced. Wait time aside, the fries were so salty I couldn't eat many of them, and the burger had almost nothing on it. It had a very small amount of BBQ sauce and the cheese, but was missing lettuce, fried onions, and garlic aoli. It was also lukewarm. I went here for the first time ever on my birthday and loved it!! You can bring your whole family here because they have food/drink options for EVERYONE! I'm not kidding when I say that I have never been at a restaurant that had that many different options. The portions are VERY fair for the prices. Took 10 minutes to get our beverages at breakfast, I ordered a bloody mary- super overpriced especially getting an old and cold piece of bacon with it. Zoe coffee house recently moved to their current building and have completely renovated it. The new feel is a modern, chill atmosphere and they are now doing breakfast, lunch, and dinner (in addition to coffee). The coffee here is some of the best in town! The lattes are always made to perfection and served in mugs (unless you specify the drink is to-go). The coffee is consistent and there is ample room in the restaurant to chill and enjoy a cup of joe! For breakfast, I have had their biscuits and gravy with eggs and hash browns. Super good and was served very hot with the eggs cooked to order! They recently added dinner to the menu, and I had the Steptoe (?) burger, and was very impressed! I ordered a double patty, which added up to near a pound of beef (more than I was expecting). When I come again, I'll only order a single because I couldn't come near to finishing it. The last thing was the dessert! I got the brownie/ice cream with my shots of espresso on the side. It was fantastic! Brownies tasted like they had just been pulled out of the oven and the espresso added an awesome tinge of flavor to the dessert! I'll possibly come back just for the dessert and coffee! It's a Sunday morning, my roommates and I wake up feeling bliss. We drive on down to the local Zoe's cafe, we get seated after a 40 minute wait and then get told we can order in 10 minutes. We end up waiting over an hour just to get our orders in meanwhile the table behind us happened to get express service even though we were here before them. I'm writing this 80 minutes after sitting down at our table still no food. I'm hangry and slowly getting more tipsy as my mimosa spills into my gut. This place has gone through a lot of renovations since the first time I visited on 2015. I love how much this place has grown into what it is now since it's apparent move. This place is very dear to my heart because it was the closest place next to me when I first came to Pullman that offered a variety of food, drinks, and baked goods. During the time I lived there, I was a regular at Zoe's and I definitely appreciated the fact that the staff pays attention to those details that make dining in Pullman an intimate small town experience. They also have regular surveys they have their clients fill out after their meals to see how they are doing and receive feedback. I appreciate the dedication and intention to continuously improve their dining experience by doing this. I have had different dishes here throughout the breakfast, lunch, and dinner and I thought they were all very well made and hearty. In terms of the drinks, they serve both cocktails, beers, coffees, and other hot/cold drinks. They have only recently started to make cocktails beyond mimosas which I appreciate a lot. Their coffee drinks are amazing as well, especially with one of their baked goods. I take one star off, not because of the service and the food, but the fact that this place gets really packed!
