4.5 Stars ( .5 deduction for horrible soda) Burgers - I think these are the best burgers Ive had in the entire state. The burgers are consistent every time and are priced very well given the size of the burger. When you ask for medium rare you get it served medium rare every time. The chefs have the formula down. Ive had the regular cheeseburger, button mushroom, hexapeno and holy moly burger. The bun is big and always fresh with lettuce/tom and perfect thinly sliced raw onion. I would take these burgers over 5 guys burgers any day of the week and I'm a huge five guys fan. Fries - I never bother with the chips that come with the burgers I always get the steak fries which are cooked perfect and salted perfect every time. Soda - This is the part that I don't get. Every time I order the soda here it is flat as can be. Its like they are trying to save money on CO2. Msg to owner!!! PLEASE turn up the carbonation on your soda fountain gun. Stop by cumberland farms or 7 11 gas station and taste their soda. You should always get that carbonation kick. Other- Nice location with good decor, fast friendly servers. I wanted to like this restaurant so much. The staff was welcoming and friendly but not too much. My partner had a salmon burger which was fine. Except it was made with cheddar cheese, lettuce tomato and onion as if it were a beef burger. Not a good fit. I had the harvest salad and it just felt like all the pieces had been around a while. Luckily I ordered the almonds and cranberries on the side because both are coated in a lot of sugar. I would try this place again for breakfast - they probably do that well. read more

We were driving around in the evening and most things were closed, but noticed this spot was open. We had the butternut squash soup, burgers and bread pudding with ice cream. Honestly, everything tasted mediocre, at best. Soup tasted watered down, burgers were dry, bread pudding stale. On top of that, the menu prices on the menus they handed us there were wrong. On the final receipt, all items were $1 more than they were on the menu. Would have appreciated a heads up that the menus were wrong. Cute little place. I ordered the Gobble sandwich with turkey and cranberry mayo, side of onion rings. My husband the Hot Pastrami with steak fries. These sandwiches hit the spot! The bread was perfectly toasted, crunchy exterior yet soft once you bit into it. The steak fries werereally good but the onion rings were scrumptious! The doping sauce for the union rings was delicious and paired perfectly. We may come back tomorrow before we leave town, that's how good it was. So simple but they've got it down! read more

I called a friend of mine who's a vermonter to find some place for lunch in Manchester. She suggested getting sandwiches from the deli of the same name but I knew that the husband would want to sit and have a beer so we decided to stop here. Husband ordered a roast beef sandwich and a long trail and I ordered a half a turkey sandwich and a cup of corn chowder. I'm pretty fussy about sandwiches and these were outstanding, everything was fresh and the bread was to die for. I would have bought some to bring home if they'd had it. It would have been five stars except for the service - just a little slow - not horrible - but not five star. read more

So, we were up in Manchester for some shopping today and decided to stop in here based on the other reviews here on Yelp. We got there about 12:30 and the place was fairly busy. There was a 10 or 15 minute wait for a table. The staff was friendly and attentive. The wife ordered the a BLT on the oat bread and I a grilled turkey, bacon and cheddar on white of the daily specials menu. The problem overall with both sandwiches was the bread. These folks also run a bakery and I'm guessing they bake and hand cut it themselves. And that right there is the problem. When cutting bread by hand you are never going to get the slices exactly even or exactly the same size but they should at least be in the same neighborhood. And they should never overwhelm whatever you are putting between the slices. But that is exactly what is happening here. One slice of my bread had to be over a half inch thick at one end and the other slice, while not quite as bad, was pretty think as well. The result was that the sandwich contents, which would have likely been pretty good on normal slices, was completely lost between these ridiculously thick slice of bread. The end result was that we were left peeling away as much of the bread as we could to taste the actual BLT and Turkey, cheese and bacon, which was pretty good when you could taste it. My wife ordered hers with the house "chips" and popped for the extra buck and got the steak fries. I was not impressed with the chips. They were over cooked and a tad greasy. The fries on the other hand were quite good. they were crispy and not undercooked as they often are in many places. My only real complaint with them is that despite charging an extra dollar for them, they were still a bit stingy with them. The bottom line is that I think we'll probably give the place a pass on future visits to town. read more

I'm a big fan of freshwater fish cooked with a Pennsylvania Dutch flavor. We had some really high quality haddock and trout, fresh vegetables, and a raspberry rhubarb pie. This isn't food-related but there's a pair of J1772 level 2 ev chargers in the back. I couldn't get one to work but the other one took off just fine. Get a booth and try something. Visiting Vermont and driving thru Route 100. Stopped for the night to stay in Bromley and found Zoey's Double Hex on Yelp. We were a bit concerned because the restaurant selection up here is limited, but this was a gem! Fresh fluffy bread. Tasted homemade. Also got the Grilled Salmon and Maple Chicken. We loved both, very juicy, flavorful, and filling. Rice pilaf, potatoes, green beans, and Caesar salad were delish. 5/5 recommended! Approx 30 min wait for dinner, but definitely worth it. Were visiting the area and staying at Stratton. We've eaten here two nights in a row! It's that good! Holy Moly Burger was amazing! Maple Glazed chicken was the best chicken we've ever tasted. Even the ham, cheese, and apple sandwich was incredible. Save room for the brownie sundae. I have gone here multiple times. And each time I go there I love it and always want to come back. I have gotten the same thing every time and it just gets better each time. I've seen some reviews claim poor service, and there are a few individuals who do work there that are snotty and rude, however, the overall experience is not that bad. I highly recommend (for meat lovers) the Barbecue Bacon Burger, it's amazing and delicious and always cooked to perfection. I've also had the steak, which was cooked exactly to my liking, however the price for the steak was a bit high seeing as the steak was quite small. Like I said, the overall experience service is fine and the food is incredibly wonderful. They are always busy it seems like and sometimes you can't even get an order for take out because they're too busy. However, my sister and I had gotten in late on a trip, and we knew they closed at 9 pm, we were there around 8:39 and we were thinking they probably wouldn't take the order. At first it did not look like it was up to our expectation but a half an hour wait said - this place must be good. 35 minutes after a wait we got seated. Inside. The Ambiance was good but a bit loud. We popped into Zoeys and were glad we did! We felt extra safe inside, it's very clean and spaced out. The food was amazing! We tried the mozzarella sticks appetizer that may be the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had. Then we took a risk and tried the chili burger- this was equally amazing with fresh fries. Usually the place is a decent stop for a quick lunch. Today it was freezing, tourists allowed a group of 6-8 kids run ram shod over the place. No parents tried to control them. My burger- ordered Medium rare was burnt to a crisp as was the mushroom on top. And the men's room was out of order so everyone was using the ladies room. Which was a pigsty. Worst food we had on our trip to Manchester. The place itself seems confused.... is it a diner? white washed ceilings from a beach house, country decorations, Spanish tile bar/diner counter... Service was good, waitress was extremely nice. Food was terrible. The bread seemed like frozen wonder bread that was heated in a microwave. The 2 dinners we had were worthy of 1 star. Zoey's is a charming kitschy little country place that we enjoyed very much for a quick, inexpensive dinner. Since Zoey's reminds me of a Philly or Jersey diner, I really wanted to order my favorite diner staple, French onion soup. Sadly, they only make it in the winter so I got chicken and rice soup instead. It was pretty good, just not what I had in mind. For dinner I ordered a meatloaf sandwich. Something I would never think to order anywhere, but seemed like the right thing to do here. It was absolutely delicious, I'm happy to report. We paid the $1 extra for steak fries and I have no regrets. They were crispy and delicious, not floppy and gross like steak fries can often be. The sandwich featured really flavorful onions and barbecue sauce, and the honey oat bread was fabulous. Not fabulous, however, was the no free soda refills thing they got going on here. Not cool. Really wanted to like this place but when you order food and only get half the meal it's hard to give it a higher review. My husband ordered prime rib, did not get his salad or the bread that was supposed to come with it. Waitress hardly came by. When she did come by and we mentioned that he didn't get his salad or bread with the meal she offered to box it up to take home. Who wants a salad that was supposed to come before the meal and bread boxed up to go? Refills on soda are extra. Plus, surcharges are added onto the bill. Would have been nice to get a free soda refill or something off the bill for not getting half the meal but they did not offer. read more

There was no wait on a recent hot, Sunday afternoon. We stopped in for a late lunch before hitting the road back to NYC. This place is a feel-good, old-fashioned, casual, family-style restaurant where friendly service and home-cooked food still reign supreme. I loved that they offered comfort food (burgers, tuna melts, etc) as well as healthier options (I had the hummus, pita and vegetable platter, and a side salad). And boy, was I glad I opted for a healthy entree because - the homemade, warm, blueberry pie a la mode was to die for! Don't leave without a slice of their freshly baked pies! read more
