I play ZogSports soccer in the "high casual" league. It's a lot of fun and a great way to destress in the middle of the week! The league is pretty well organized and the refs are fair and keep the game fun (especially our ref Nathan!). They make it really easy from getting matching shirts for everyone (although I'd love to see an upgrade to dry fit instead of cotton) to scheduling all the games well in advance. Most of the other teams are sportsmanlike and are also just there to have fun, but the level of play is competitive enough to keep the games interesting. Would totally recommend! read more

Our office joined Zog Sports for the fall dodgeball season and it was a total blast. The competitive level was perfect - not that overbearing bro-type of league. It was a lot of fun and a good fit for all skill levels. And of course the weekly happy hour afterwards is always something to look forward to, win or lose. read more

I joined my first Zog team in NYC and was so happy to see a league opened in SF when I moved back. I play on three different Zog co-ed teams (volleyball, basketball and football) and have recruited a lot of friends to play, including friends who I played with in other city leagues. What keeps me coming back to Zog is how organized the leagues are compared to other organizations I've played with. It makes life much easier when I'm trying to recruit for and coordinate registration for three different teams every season. The level of play is also a good balance of competitive and social/fun. Nick Cruit and Chris Davis do a great job of managing the leagues and are highly responsive and really approachable. read more

We've played in the Zog soccer leagues for several years, and have enjoyed it. The leagues provide a good mixture of fun and competition. I've played in both the Mission and Marina soccer leagues, 7v7 and 8v8. The Marina field is a bit shorter and wider, so you end up not being as tired at the end. I think the Mission league is a little more competitive too. Games have a tendency to start late, especially later in the day, but I think the problem is getting better. Once in a while the refereeing is questionable, but it's usually good. read more

ZogSports is awesome. It allowed me to play volleyball with my friends despite my busy work schedule. Part of the proceeds go to charity when you win the championship which makes it even more enticing. The ZogSports website makes it easy to see your schedule or sign-up for other leagues. The ZogSports soccer leagues are great! Fields are the best I've seen in the city, great condition and lighting for night games. The leagues are very competitive and they find a way group teams by their skill level. The Zog team is very responsive and communicates updates and social events well. I'm a fan of Zog Sports mostly because the gyms we play in are close to my house in the Mission. I've played 4 seasons with them and been satisfied with their customer service, ease of registering a team and the level of competition that the league provides. Some of their refs could use some improvement but I'm sure that's the case with all leagues in the city. read more

I've played in the ZogSports basketball league a few times now and I love it. Its casual and light hearted but at the same time satisfies my need for competition in my life. Everyone is really nice in the leagues I've been in and it's pretty awesome they have get -togethers after the games to grab a drink or two and make fun of your friends who are out of shape. ZogSports is incredible! I have played one soccer season and immediately signed up for another one. The level of play is very casual and people are there to get a good workout and have fun. After the game ends, the team will usually go out for food and drinks at a local bar. Met a lot of cool people through this league. Also, they really helped me out. When I signed up for another season, I created my own team and got some friends to join me. I was a few players short and needed help finding others who wanted to play soccer. As it was close to the beginning of the season all players were assigned to a team already. They ended up reaching out to different people and organizations to find more players for my team. They definitely went above and beyond for me. Overall, ZogSports has been a terrific experience! read more

The league is super well organized, the staff are super responsive to communications and accommodating to changes, baggage, and other suggestions. I was looking for a softball league that could accommodate individual signups with ease. Zogsports runs a great program that takes into account your requests and guides you through the process of registering with no hassle. While I am a first-time user, so far I am very pleased with the service I have gotten. Now I'll be able to play my best friend's team and get serious bragging rights when we win. read more

Since moving back to SF over 7 years ago, I've made it a point to make extracurricular sports an important part of my life. I've sampled all the leagues throughout the years and can confidently say that ZOG SPORTS is the best. It is a great way to meet new people, get your competitive juices flowing, and also stay active. The team at Zog is well organized, reasonable, and provide access to great playing facilities across the City. In my opinion, many of the other leagues focused far too much on getting blacked out drunk and not on having a real sports league. I recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants to be apart of a team, wants to meet young professionals that are motivated to win, and raise money for a good cause. My one complaint is that there website needs an upgrade. read more

If youre still hesitating, just do it! Zog has been one of the best things I've done. First, theres the social aspect. Everyone is very open and nice, making teams very welcoming no matter if youre a new player or not. A majority of the people who play the sport they sign up for also play open gyms or somewhere else, so there is a definitely a community aspect that you gain. The party/bar scene behind it is growing, but Ive noticed that each team really takes their time to get to know one another which is a rare thing to find. But what has really made Zog the best choice for me is how tangible the communication is between the players and the brains of the operations, Chris and Nick. Every email was very clear and replied to in minutes. Plus, their presence is known. You'll see them around the games or can even stop into the office at any moment and these guys are always down to hang. Zog is crushin it! read more

I really love Zogsports. I played volleyball through highschool but wasn't able to play in college. After moving to SF, I searched but couldn't find any solid outlets to play vball in the city, and in addition had a hard time making connections with quality people socially. I found zogsports and signed up on a whim, hoping for the best. I was nervous about what the average skill level of the league might be, since I was a little rusty, and was wondering if the people would be cool. 4 seasons later, I am still with the original team I got placed on as a free agent in that first season, and have made really solid friendships with not only my teammates, but also many other players in the league. I play on in both a Sunday league and a Tuesday night league, both in the Mission. In the Sunday league (my original team), we go out for beers next door most afternoons after, and really enjoy each others company. I think you'll find there are a variety of skill levels in each league, but the coordinator does a good job of balancing out the playing levels of teams in each division after the initial scrimmages. Some groupings can be really pretty competitive, and others are certainly (much) less so. The coordinator, Jason, is super nice and helpful, and always responds quickly to questions about the league or the Zogsports website. I have only played in the volleyball leagues, but would totally try out other sports in Zog after my positive experiences.If you're on the fence about getting back in the game and trying to meet people in the city, I would check it out. read more

When I was looking to get back into volleyball, I asked a friend who's played in multiple leagues which one was the best. She didn't hesitate to recommend Zog, and now, heading into my third season, I know why. Jason makes every step of the way easy, and I never wonder if the ref is going to show up or the gym will be open. The league is very well organized and it is extremely easy to get in touch with the league manager with any questions/concerns.
