Simply put this shop sucks. The owner is a real crook. I took my bike there to get some basic electrical work done. My bike is only a couple of years old and I don't ride it a lot and it's basically new. I wanted different color spark plug cables installed. First of all I went round and round trying to get a simple estimate. I was finally told it would take about two hours work plus the cost of the new cables. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I'm an idiot with it comes to motorcycle repairs and maintenance. I knew what spark plug wires should cost, the guy quoted me a price that was about four times what they should cost. I should have walked out right then. I agreed to let him do the work for me since they were located close to my work. My mistake. Two weeks passed and I never hear back from them so, I decided to stop in and check to see if it was finished. They hadn't even started working on it. I left and waited for another week and finally called to see if it was finished. Nope. Mind you I was having basic electrical work done which should have been completed in 3 hours tops. The next week I received a call from Rick the owner and he starts naming off all of this other problems that needed to be fixed or the bike would run properly. At this point the guy had me by the privets so, I had to accept the extra charges for parts and work I really didn't need plus of course the added labor hours. For a simple job that should have cost me about $150 this swindler ended up charging me about $400. To make a long story longer. I ended up having to take the bike to another mechanic because there was a short in the wiring job that he did. Fool me once... I will never do business with Zoni crooks again. Rick Zoni is a crook through and through. I had a horrific experience with this guy back in 2008. I brought in my 1980 Buick in excellent condition that had a carbeuretor issue. I left the car with him and told him I would return after he contacts me with what the issue with the carb is. I happened to return to his shop after several hours to retrieve an item from the trunk and this crook had the front end of the engine dismantled from the car!!! (radiator fan, waterpump, timing chain cover) I could not believe what I saw and immediately went ballistic on this crook and his helper. There is no explanation this crook could give as to why he had these parts off the car as they had nothing to do with the carb/fuel issue at all!!!! I caught him red handed tampering with the car, plain and simple. Long story short, I took my car out of his shop only to have it die on me about a week later. Towed the car to another mechanic who then found that the harmonic balancer had been tampered with (the end tip was bent and broken off from the body) The mechanic told me the balancer is a part that never wears out. He agreed that removing the timing chain cover to access the balancer has nothing to do with diagnosing a fuel issue, and bending the tip would create a crank/no start issue which would make one think of a fuel delivery problem. Luckily, the tip that broke off did not fall inside the engine. Yeah, this crook was setting me up for repeat visits to his shop of horrors. I bought my bike with the hopes of not having to have it in a shop that often,turns out the bike I bought had a lot of problems from the beginning.. was leaking oil not long after I bought it from oil cooler,Rick fixed that .the bike started to leak break fluid from top of front brake lever,Rick fixed that,when my bike started to stall out at at every intersection,Rick once again diagnosed and fixed the problem fast and efficient..turns out had a a lot of things wrong with this bike. Bike needed a lot of help it would also accelerate on its own from time to time ,not a lot but enough to scare the hell out of me..Rick also fixed that,back break was sticking after the rain ..yes he also fixed that.ok like that's not enough I had my rear primary seal go and leave a puddle under my bike...yes you got it Rick got me the parts fast and stopped the leak .. all in all now that Rick has had the time to work out the kinks in my machine it is reliable as can be.. like in my next review I say I know it will let me down again or break at some point ..hey I ride the hell out of her everyday to and from the city so it's a great feeling to know there is a shop out here with my best interests in mind.. Rick has taken a bike that was neglected by its last owner and has brought it back to its former glory of a reliable awesome loud bad ass . About 4 years ago, my 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis developed an engine problem. At that time, I didn't have a regular mechanic in New York City, although I had tried a few others with whom I was not entirely satisfied. To my welcome surprise, Rick Zoni was very friendly and generous with his time discussing my vehicle. As it turned out, Rick and his crew had a great respect for, and knowledge of, older vehicles. They not only repaired my problem for a reasonable price, but realigned the under-hood wiring to its original state and corrected some of the snafus done by previous mechanics. Over the last 4 years, they have done all of my repairs and all have been timely, reliable, and reasonably priced. We all know it's not easy to find an honest and good mechanic. I started having a lot of trouble with my bike and had no idea where to bring it. Was going to troop all the way from Brooklyn to Staten Island to bring it to HD, but I took a chance and googled MC Repair and came across Zoni Bros. Showed up the next morning and met the owner Rick. He was great. Had a lot of patience with me and although he knew I was a new rider and knew very little, he didn't take advantage. He took his time to go over my bike and kept the costs to a minimum. He told me what I needed to do right away and left the stuff that can wait. I noticed an immediate difference in how the bike ran. Rick of Zoni Bros. comes through once again. After I (stupidly) left the lights on and killed the battery on my motorcycle, Rick got me a replacement battery right away. What I didn't know at the time was that I had also blown the main fuse. The bike was completely dead. Most other mechanics would have charged me about $120 just to have the bike towed to their shop. Rick however was able to diagnose the problem without needing to tow the bike and determine that the fuse probably needed to be changed. I picked up a fuse from him and my bike was back up and running. Rick not only was able to quickly resolve the issue but did it in a way which saved me a ton of money in towing and labor. I can't even adequately explain how accurate the reviews were about the quality of service you get at Zoni's. They were welcoming from the moment I called to ask if they had a headlight in stock for my 2002 Triumph America. Paul told me to stop by, took a look - and instead of trying to sell me an expensive upgrade - suggested that I just switch to an LED bulb and keep the quality headlight housing. I got the same treatment from the owner, Rick, when I came back later that evening. It was the sense that no question was too small and that they truly enjoyed their work and providing great customer service. Zoni's doesn't feel like a typical New York establishment at all. I needed to find a garage in the area to take photos of my newly purchased pre-loved vehicle for the insurance requisite. It is worth a visit to view this shop from which central casting could easily film without changing one single thing. I am hardly a car buff but did so appreciate the vintage vehicles undergoing revamping. I had a simple request. I am also impatient. I had to make an appointment. I was reminded of the benefit of making an appointment when Rick attended so professionally to business by going through the checklist and taking photos with great focus and attentiveness. Took my 2016 Indian scout 60 to Zoni customs today after a friend recommended them . I gotta say the service was excellent . Rick, the owner , was extremely polite, detailed and respectful no matter how many questions I asked him. They installed some custom items for me , air intake/filter and a fuel management system. Bike took much longer to complete than expected but Rick was nice enough to charge me round about what he originally estimated for me . Also waxed the bike and found some loose ends for me too. Can't thank these guys enough for an amazing experience and job on my bike . They showed the bike a lot of love and for that I recommend you see them before making any decisions on you bike . I recently bought a used Kawasaki Vulcan and brought it to Rick, he showed me any problems and took care of it. Zoni Bros. was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad I found Zoni Bros and Rick. Very charismatic individual that knows a lot about the vehicles he works on. This is my first experience w Zoni Bros, and I have to say I am extremely happy. This is my first accident where insurance had finger involved and Rick had really simplified things for me insofar as dealing w the adjuster and the insurance over all. He's extremely easy to work w and always has suggestions ready and part info whenever I call. The day I dropped my bike off w the toe truck my ride fell through and he paid for a cab to get me home because I can't walk due to the accident. Who does that? Nicest friggen guy! Honestly the best service I could've asked for! First time getting a motorcycle inspected, and assumed I would have to leave it there, wait a day or two, then have a mechanic try and sell me on unneeded repairs. BUT NO. Went in around 10:20 am, Rick immediately inspected my bike, told me a few issues that may need to be addressed in the future, but didn't try to sell me on anything. Quickly passed it, and after a nice conversation, I was out about 20 minutes later. I will be taking all my business there from now on! Great humble guy owns the shop. Superb customer service! I usually don't leave reviews for places until I ran into Rick when I came in with my bike to get it checked up, without any issues. Considering most shops are trying to make a quick buck off their customers, Rick and his shop really has his customers hearts in mind with the best of intentions. Definitely worth my while. Very friendly dude! They also service new and vintage cars as far as I saw. Not too many shops really take that extra care with older car models. There aren't a lot of motorcycle shops around Brooklyn that are fair and responsive. In fact, I think Zoni Bros might be the only one. They did a wonderful job on my motorcycle and I couldn't recommend them enough. I told Rick that my bike was my main way of commuting and he finished the work in a couple of days, something that would take most shops weeks to complete. To be honest, I don't understand the negative reviews given to Zoni Bros. Getting a bike inspected in this city is too often a hassle. I get it, bike inspections are cheap and shops don't want the random distraction. Two years in a row now I called them up and asked if today was good and what time and on arrival, Rick promptly does the inspection. He even fixed my mirror that some jerk had tried to break. His fee is twenty dollars which I think is perfectly reasonable for a task done at my convenience. Other shops often have stated times for this service and then turn you away when you arrive. I had just driven down on from Washington DC and my car got stuck in drive and wouldn't shift to park or reverse. I called all the mechanics I could find in my area until I stumbled upon Zoni bros. I stoped by and asked if they would fix my 1978 Lincoln town coupe. To my surprise not only did they say they would take my car in to see if they could fix it. They actually fixed it and at a great price instead of paying over 500 dollars like I expected, I only paid 235. Overall I'd say this a great place to bring you classic car if you need it fixed. read more

I`v taken my bike to Rick`s on a few occasions, top notch work and at a fair price considering some other shop rates are $20/hr more. I also let him service my work truck. He has always done a great job for me. I`v now recommended 3 friends to Zoni Bros. and every one of them is glad I did. Finally ! a mechanic in NYC I we can trust.......
