Zorba would not be proud. This restaurant is mediocre at best. The meat is some cheap hamburger hybrid, rather than lamb. The sauce, instead of a nice healthy yogurt based sauce is a cheap cucumber sauce made mostly from sour cream, and tastes mostly of sour cream. All the condiments (Lettuce, tomatoes, onions) appear to be cheap "from a bag" style fast food ingredients. The quality is terrible. The staff were friendly enough and somewhat attentive, but were not able to pick up on our hints of dissatisfaction. Perhaps it is common enough that it is no longer of note. The interior is plain and undecorated. I should have known walking in that it would not be good but nothing ventured...... I advise avoiding this establishment. You should be able to find a better Gyro at the mall......... read more

We always go here for breakfast. It is a pretty good place to have breakfast for the price. I also like their steak subs. They are tasty!

When I used to live in Fayetteville I loved this place (the one on Raeford), because it was something different. Now that I live in DC and have endless, wonderful restaurant choices, this place seems...well, very Fayetteville. The waitress was very nice and the food came out quickly. But beyond that, I was not blown away. I ordered a greek salad with the gyro meat added. The meat was dry and was just meh. Good for this place though, opening another location. Ok cheap meal, price definitely matches the quality of food! Ordered the pancakes with bacon, and side of "blueberries." The bacon was undercooked, as were eggs, my "blueberries" were actually pie filling from what I could decipher, never actually tried them. read more

Delicious !!! They have some great subs!! The bread is fresh , chewy and crusty!! If you get any of the subs, get the zorba's special!! Simply delicious !!! This is the only place I get my Italian subs!! Move over subway and baldino's, you got some competition!! I highly recommend them. read more

Ok I visited this place again after my last pleasant visit a month or so ago. The changes they've done recently since my last visit has only improved the nice and quaint place. Food still good but now the design, window dressing and tiled floor makes for an even better outing. Good job Zorbas you're getting better everytime I visit. Food is always hot and fresh. Got the spaghetti with meat sauce special last night....awesome as always. I had ordered extra parmesan cheese with my to go order and I guess they forgot to put it in the bag. Dear Owners of Hope Mills Road location. I hope you are reading these reviews. I've been coming to your place for a few years. Something is off now. Food is fine, lots of it and taste was fine. No complaints here. . Your staff during the week days are new I guess and should to be retrained on being pleasent at the very least. They dont even crack a 1/4 of a smile. If a customer asks nicely to have lite onions or no cucumber sauce..they should not point to the menu and tap tap tap "this is what you can pick from " Sorry but this will crumble your resturant quickly. The waitress was sure to let us know with a "SIGH" of her unhappiness in our request. She did not get a tip I would have rather ate outside on your curb. As we stood in line waiting to be rug up...we stood,,,and stood..your staff looked at us while they continued on their way, and other customers were also waiting. Finally another customer actually asked a women behind to the counter if she would like to be paid for the food they ate. GOOD GRIEF...what has happend to such a happy, warm and welcoming Zorba's of Hope Mills. Just thought you should know what really goes on... read more

Terrible. I went in there today and watched the cook make food with no gloves the whole time, and he didn't wash his hands once while I was there. He was handling pizza, raw meat, salads, cheese fries, going into the freezer multiple times and he even wiped his f*cking eye. How can you handle people's food so carelessly? Then my waitress was coughing everywhere and she didn't think to wash her hands either. Certainly my last time going in that sh*t hole. read more

Tried out Zorba's last week for lunch. My salad was shredded lettuce right from the bag. My Gyro had the pita cut into 4 pieces with a few pieces of onion on top of the mixture of beef/lamb meat. When I asked for extra onion was told there would be an extra charge. One of the worst meals I've ever tried to eat. Would never go back there. read more

The gyro was pretty good, though mine had too much lettuce. My friend got the gyro plate, and that was a mistake. It tasted fine, but the pita was cut in half, so you couldn't pick it up like a normal gyro. Next time, she'd rather just order a gyro by itself with fries on the side. read more

I've been here once and had a lamb gyro with onion rings. I really liked the interior of the restaurant. It's got a lot of space and is spread out. I loved the openness. Staff is nice and the service is good. It's basically like a nice diner with some decent food. The gyro was ok, nothing great. Could have used a little bit more flavor. The onion rings were pretty good though. Crispy on the outside, delicious all around. The meal was very filling. read more

The one star they got is only because most of my food was done correctly. I ordered a gyro with everything on it then one on a plate which included fries and a side salad... I was told the salad was a large sized salad but it ended up being a handful of lettuce with one olive and a tomato along with some dry fries but what I was really disappointed with was my gyro which was a pita cut up with meat and onions on top. When I called to tell them I asked for everything on my sandwhich I was argued down by the lady who seemed like she just wanted to be right. All I wanted was a put together sandwhich like I asked for which they would only need to add feta cheese, lettuce and tomato instead the waitress and manager decided to argue with me about why I was wrong. At the end the manager ended up saying well bring it back and we'll make you the sandwhich over as long as nothing is eaten out of it and give you 2 dollars back for the difference... after a disappointing customer service experience I will never trust them to make my food again not to mention he was coughing profusely the entire time I was there and they had a 94 health code which is pretty low for a restaurant (you get shut down below 90). Will never eat here again... spent 30 dollars and you just lost a good customer over a 6 dollar gyro. read more

Wonderful little restaurant. Nothing fancy as far as decor but every time we go there the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. Never been for breakfast but we love the italian subs and pepper steak subs and the fries are to die for. Nice big fat steak fries. read more

I was in there a few months ago and overcharged about $4 for carryout. I'm not sure if this is standard, or an oversight. They never gave me a receipt, so I have no way to complain about it. The food is pretty decent and the portion sizes for the price are good (better than Gyro City). With the limited Greek restaurants in Fayetteville, I'm sure we'll be back. read more

My husband and I went for breakfast at Zorba's for the first time and OMG what a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was great, and the food and service was out of this world. My waither was the best ever, when I go out to eat I tip by the sevice and I can truely say that she took care of us real good. OK, I had heard that Zorba's was great for breakfast. So I took my granddaughter there one Saturday. We got there a little before 11:OO and sat at a table. Then got up and moved to a booth. After about 5 min. the waiter walked by and gave us menus. After looking at the menu for a few minutes, the waitress came by for our drink order. I asked if we could see the breakfast menu and was told we were too late for breakfast. BUMMER. So I ordered the hamburger steak and fries, granddaughter got pizza. About that time, four people came in and sat at the table we had sat originally sat at. A different waiter took their order. Then after about 10 minutes, they got their order (ours had not arrived yet. They got breakfast! The waiter finally brings our order and I asked how the other table got breakfast when they came in after we did. The waiter said they got their order in before us. OK what ever. My hamburger steak had this thick brown "gravy" with onions. I told the waiter that I didn't want the gravy and asked why it doesn't say that on the menu. She said it does and proceeded to "show me." She pointed out the roast beef "with gravy" and the roast beef sandwich "with gravy". I pointed out that the hamburger steak makes no mention of "with gravy" and her only response was, "Well, that's the way it comes" and walked away. I scraped the "gravy" off the best I could and ate about half of it. What I ate was not very good and there is no way that thin burger was 8oz. (even pre-cooked weight). The pizza was apparently OK. My fries were hot and there was a good sized portion. Too bad my waiter wasn't a little more "customer friendly". Don't know if I want to go back or not... read more
