He spent enough time to troubleshoot the problem and replace the ignition switch and realized it wasn't the correct one that the model called for it had a low amp output. so he had an upgraded one that did the job perfectly. the range runs better than ever before. He worked clean and carted the scrap away. the pricing worked a little different than the way I was used to when I called for service.But I called the warranty and it was justified and very fair and really only a few bucks more than the normal 75 dollar fee. so I have nothing bad to say about them. I first found out about ASA Appliance years ago from online reviews that were all raves. Most reviewers highly recommended asking for Andrei. Both times I called Andrei he answered his phone right away. If he has to call back he does so promptly. Each time I made a repair request he scheduled a visit within a day or two. Andrei is not your typical repair guy. He is passionate about not only providing great service, but he wants to educate his customers as to why their appliances break or fail and how to avoid similar problems in the future. For my most recent issue -- our LG Dryer had stopped generating heat on a Saturday. We had done two loads of clothes that dried perfectly but the third load is when the dryer no longer provided heat. I took a quick look online and tried some easy home troubleshooting (cleaning the lint trap, power reset and even resetting the thermostat switch inside the dryer). None of them worked. So I put in a call to Andrei assuming I'd have to leave a voicemail on Saturday, but instead he picked up immediately. Told him the problem and he said he would come by Monday between 10am--12noon. Andrei texted me Monday ahead of time to let me know when he'd be at the house. He showed up around 11:20am and promptly went to work disassembling the dryer and in about 20 minutes he told me what was wrong, emailed me his estimate and started as soon as I agreed. (He will not proceed with any repair until you know his diagnosis, his full estimate and agree to the repair.) My problem turned out to be a broken IGNITER (see photo). Andrei explained thoroughly where the Igniter sits inside the dryer right below the front loading door and that with its critical parts made out of ceramic it's easily prone to breaking -- ESPECIALLY as Andrei pointed out -- if the door is slammed or even closed too hard. Andrei went beyond the explanation. He had me record a video where he demonstrated how to close the dryer door in a way that won't damage the igniter -- so I could show everyone in the household who uses the washer/dryer! Like I said, not your typical repairman. Andrei also took a look at our refrigerator while he was there and asked how it was running and what sort of maintenance were we doing. I mentioned one small display door latch wasn't working as intended so he took a photo of the serial number and said he'd see if he could find the parts. He also noticed the rubber door lining was getting cut at the corners where small insignificant-looking rubber tabs are located to keep cold air in. He did a quick fix with some tape. Even though the igniter was an expensive repair (it was an expensive part) I feel I easily got more than my money's worth of service. The most important thing to know about Andrei and ASA Appliance is that they are not just interested in repairing your appliances. They want to show you how to avoid another similar repair and will even give advice on how to get the most out of all your major appliances. A few years ago Andrei gave up an easy visit fee when I called about my washer. When I described the sound it was making he said, "It's the ball bearings in the drum. I can't help you. No one can help you. You need a new washer. I could come over and charge you for the visit but it would be a waste of your money." Finding such honesty and expertise in a repair technician is incredibly rare. I can't recommend ASA Appliance and Andrei anymore highly.

He was very nice and polite. He really listened to me when I described what it was doing. David was very professional and really knew his stuff. I especially appreciated it when he put down a mat so as not to get my floor scratched or dirty. David explained what caused the problem and what he was doing step by step to repair it. He also explained what I could do in the future to keep it from happening again, this will save me money in the future. When he was finished I was able to pay with credit card, he just swiped the card it right there on the spot. So fast and secure I wish everybody would do this.
