In particular, I've tried at least a dozen 100% cacao chocolates in my life, and the ones from Zotter stand out from all the rest. I stumbled across Zotter's social media ads and was blown away by the selection and impressed by the ethical business practices. Bear to bar isn't cheap though, but a 15% off offer finally gave me the kick in the butt I needed to give them a try. I initially ordered 7 bars to get the free shipping (no issues with melting, even though it was shipped from Florida to Chicago in early September! First order I did select the no melt guarantee, but subsequent orders have come unmelted as well). I have never tasted anything like Zotter chocolates. Each bar has multiple levels of different flavors that pop and explode and soothe the senses. It's impossible to describe, and I should probably try using AI to describe it, but that's not my thing. You can literally taste the quality. I've now placed four orders since the initial one six weeks ago, five if you count the advent calendar preorder. I'm really excited about those, because I can try 24 different flavors with one purchase! And since there are four varieties of advent calendars, I got one version for myself and one for my husband and we still have two more to try next year! To address the elephant in the room: yes, it's expensive. Very expensive, thanks to stupid tariffs due to one man's inability to understand that tariffs hurt the US consumers, not the companies who don't even depend on US customers. And frankly, we are lucky one family decided to open a USA division, or I don't think Zotter chocolate would be available in the US at all. There is definitely no expecting Zotter chocolates to move their production to the US when they already have a magical factory in Austria, and that's where they do most of their business. So, like in a million other examples, American consumers are punished with tariffs that raise prices that are already high. And yes, Zotter's prices are high, but you get what you pay for, and what you get on all accounts with Zotter is QUALITY. Quality of the product itself, quality means and values used in production, and 5-star quality customer service. I've had two issues that have involved me needing to contact customer service (one was because I had to go out of town and didn't want my order to sit on my porch so I contacted them to cancel it, figuring I'd just place it again when I got back, but instead they arrange to ship the product when I returned so I didn't have to deal with hassle of waiting for a refund and placing new order. Again - 5 star customer service. Barbara is a gem) I can honestly say: Zotter is the best chocolate I have ever tasted, and it is worth the money. Like their ads say, life is short, so eat the best chocolate you can afford! It definitely beats the Dubai chocolate trend and that stuff isn't cheap either. I much prefer Zotter's pistachio (and strawberry pistachio) bars to any Dubai chocolate I've tried. read more

I mean, it's chocolate. For the price, did it give me an orgasm? No. Sorry but that's the expectation you are given from the advertising (and did I mention the price - it's high). We got a four-bar sample set. Our favorites were the one that tastes like it has mousse inside (very smooth and yummy) and the one that has toffee in it (enjoyed by both of us). The one with berries was too sour. And the other one I can't even remember. The outer layer of chocolate varied greatly depending on the temperature that day in the room (which is cool, and totally expected from a high quality chocolate, I'd say), so sometimes it was harder than other times when it was dulcetly soft. Unsweetened milk chocolate is nowhere to be found, except at Zotter Chocolate. To clarify, there are plenty of no sugar added milk chocolates that have either natural sweeteners (stevia for example) or artificial sweeteners, or some combination of both, but zero milk chocolate that has no added sweeteners of any kind. So this 70% chocolate 30% milk bar was not only unique, but it was SO delicious! read more

This company is a scam. Spent $53 for terrible passive-aggressive customer service, and never received my package. They won't give me a refund because the when they got my package back after it was lost, the "cocoa butter soaked the packaging" and instead of giving me new product or changing the packaging they threw it away and gave me $25 off my next order. This is ridiculous. Don't waste your time for mediocrity like this. Beyond livid. Update: Ok they offered to send the chocolates and I received them, they weren't melted at all, but now for a review on the product: not worth the price. The chocolate bars are tiny and do not look anything like the pictures. They have minimal filling. They're definitely unique tasting in a good way. But personally I think the price should be $5 per bar. Or the bar should be bigger with more fillings. Other than that I guess they're okay. read more

I can't say how they taste yet, because they were partially melted in the packaging, which was entirely inadequate to keep the chocolate cool. Both ice packs were melted and warm to the touch, as was the rest of the packaging. No matter how good the chocolate might be - and I will know when the bars have had a chance to chill in the refrigerator for a few hours - I would not order again. I like that the chocolate is fair traded, that the flavors are natural and that the chocolate shell is very thin. My only complaint, and it's minor, is how some of my favorites go out of stock.
