We were visiting family for the holidays and this place was recommended. What an amazing little establishment. They make everything fresh so there is a little wait, but it is definitely well worth it. When you go here, take your time to just sit back and relax, for the gifts that are placed before you will finish your experience with a smile. I started with the pomegranate French lemonade which was a nice fresh and refreshing start. My wife and I split a croque madame and the savory ham croissant. Both were amazing and had their unique flavor profiles. The bread on the croque madame had this incredible light sweetness, with a soft crumb and perfectly crunchy crust. I was extremely happy from my first bite to my last. The ham croissant had the wonderfully flaky outside with the delicate inside one expects from a well made croissant. This too was magic in my mouth and a rush of happiness filled my soul while eating. I enjoy cooking and baking myself, so it is always a personal pleasure when I find a place that helps me realize I can do better and this place did that for me. Anytime I'm in the area I will surely be making a trip here. My daughters got a chocolate Carmel tart and chocolate raspberry tart which were both flavorful and not overly sweet like so many other places. My Sweet Art clearly knows what they are doing and if you ever find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in to eat. You won't be disappointed. One final note, if I had any recommendations it would simply be to play some calm French music to add to the experience a little more. Wow what a brunch! Their food is absolutely incredible. The dining room is small and not the most amazing ambience but you won't even care once you take a bite of anything they serve. The server was a champ, handling all 6 tables in the dining room efficiently. The owner, I assume, checks in on every table and seems like she genuinely cares about the customer's experience. I can't even put into words how good the french toast is. It's creamy, rich and just the right amount of sweet. The Croque monsieur had crispy corners, a not overpowering rich béchamel and was so satisfying. While there I couldn't help but notice their retail wine selection. They had a bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape that was carried by a restaurant that I worked in in nyc that I haven't seen here before. My compliments, please keep doing what you do! read more

First visit. This little place, is without a doubt the best breakfast I have had in the Cape. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The eggs were beyond perfect. The potatoes were sautéed in French butter to perfection. I have, after two years found the fervent cup of coffee. My wife had the fluffiest French Toast ever. My Sweet Art has been on my radar screen for two months since they open in May, 2017. This is a French, breakfast, brunch and lunch café by a husband and wife team, Yveline Mauclerc and Eric Perez on a former Nelly's Taste of Greece off Nicholas Parkway and Pine Island Road in Cape Coral. As you walk in, you notice a large mural of Eiffel Tower on the right wall with some shelves overlooking the open kitchen. It has only six tables with several bar stools. The other walls simply have several paintings with Parisian themes. The waitress is super friendly and sweet. They have the Italian Quiche as the special of the day. However, I opted the Quiche Lorraine with a cup of coffee for lunch. The cheese and smoked ham blended in very well. It is creamy and tasty with a side of salad and balsamic vinaigrette. This is the best quiche in Florida I ever have. It is that good! Yveline greeted the patroons at every table. That has a friendly and nice touch to My Sweet Art! Looking at the display case with macarons, Madeleine cookies, tartlets, cheesecake and other goodie make me plan to come back to taste their pastries. A hidden gem! Everything they make is fresh and delicious. The couple who owns the restaurant are lovely. But why we keep coming back is for the French Pate. It is the best! We live in Tampa and when we come to visit Cape Coral we always stop by to grab a few pounds of pate. Amazing!! read more

So the other day, I finally got to go here. Been trying for months, but it was either closed for their day off or too many cars parked and had no parking. I ordered the French onion soup and it was very good. Hubby ordered the devilled eggs with bacon pieces in them. Again very good, he even likes them better than mine. (Which is his mother's recipe BTW) I told him I will try to make them the restaurants way. I ordered the chicken on a croissant and bechamel sauce with the greens. I would have liked the greens separate from my meal, cause it made them a little soggy, but overall they were very good. Hubby ordered a bacon & chicken meal in a sauce with mashed potatoes. Absolutely loved this! Wish we had more sauce on it, it was soooo good. I did get an eclair to go and it was really good also. Bottom line, I will be coming back here, I would love to try a quiche. My request is that they put vichyssoise on the menu. I sure love me a cold potato soup. read more

Highly recommend this cute little French bistro been here multiple times for some brunch. Need to make a reservation. But, the folks who own it and run. It are very sweet. Of course, the food is very good. If you're out on a Sunday looking for brunch, give this place a try. You will not be disappointed with the overall experience. But, make sure you get a reservation and confirmation before you go. It can be busy. While you're there, linger over the case and find yourself a nice pastry with a mimosa or whatever your favorite drink might be. Additionally, they do cooking classes which we've attended and candidly enjoyed to know in.my wife is in a wheelchair, they always accommodate her both at dining and at cooking classes. Absolutely delicious macaroons, and I am an absolute macaroon snob! I love the lemon tarts too and only wish they had a little bit more variety later in the day. I've sadly never been able to maje it there earlier in the day so I can't comment on whether they have more variety then, but when I get there in the last three hours or so, they don't tend to have a lot left. We've only been for brunch but we love it. Got it for takeout once and went to the restaurant a second time. I got the croque madame both times. Delicious. Popped in here while my family was down at the ice cream shop. I have heard lots of good things about this little local shop since we moved to the area a few years ago. Small store but there is some room for dining in. I ordered a lemon tart, 2 croissants and a bacon, cheese croissant that was the size of a paper plate. I hate to admit it but I ate all of the items myself because they were so good. I didn't eat them all at the same time though. The croissants brought me back to the anniversary trip my husband and I went on to Paris. I hade high expectations after hearing such great things and was not disappointed. All of the items I bought were absolutely delicious. I love supporting small local businesses and I can't wait to try some of the cooking classes they offer as well. The small little restaurant tucked away in a business strip is a great place for lunch, or a coffee and sweet treat. Owned by a French couple, the food is definitely authentic, and the pastries are to die for. Don't expect super fast food, they have a small staff, after all it isn't McDonald's, it's great food. This could be the downfall of diets throughout Cape Coral and beyond. The pastry case is small but full of mouth watering eclairs that are covered in chocolate. Tarts with fresh fruit, or my favorite the salted Carmel. Several flavors of macarons. once I had a chocolate croissant that tasted so flaky, buttery, and as if it had a chocolate bar inside. The owner Chef comes to your table to see how your enjoying your meal. When she's not baking up a storm as everything is made from scratch. Rolls are brought in from Miami. Yup! My new go to for French pastries and sandwiches. What a cool find! I had a Napoleon, apricot tart, chocolate croissant and 2 Madeleines.....and this was just for the desert round. All were great. The Napoleon was 3 delicious, crunchy, slightly caramelized pastry layers and creamy custard. I always get them when I see places that have them and this was the best, better than what I've had in NY, DC or LA. The apricot tart was not very sweet, which I really enjoyed sitting on top of a perfectly, buttery crust. The Madeleines were buttery and not very sweet but I didn't pick up any citrus zest. I thought they were usually made with lemon or orange zest. Still, they were delicious and I bet they would go great with coffee. I only had a small corner of the choc. croissant and it was nice and flaky. A lot of love went into those deserts, and butter. Butter makes the world go around and they use it well here at My Sweet Art :) The sandwiches we got were the Parisian (delish), the chicken on baguette (delish) and the Croque Madame served hot (über delish). The bread on that Croque Madame was to die for. I was trying to impress the people I was getting food for. I brag about my restaurant choices to them and I had to come through because good food in SW FL is difficult to find. But you no longer need to dig for solid French desserts and sandwiches. CHOCOLATE CROISSANT AND CROQUE MONSIEUR These are the headliners (for me) at My Sweet Art. They star in my waking dreams. Despite the fact I can't get to them as often as I'd like, you need to know that these delectable, mouth-watering creations are worth timing the trip. The chocolate croissant is the best-ever. I have NEVER had a better chocolate croissant. So good. The Croque Monsieur was new for me. Where has this been all my life? Toasted bread with smoked ham, cheese and béchamel. Every bite is something to look forward to and I'm not exaggerating. This is quickly becoming an obsession. They have a breakfast and lunch menu and there is a variety of pastries and treats in the bakery case. They offer table service from 10:00 AM- 4:00 PM Tuesday - Saturday and remain open for take-out until 6:00 PM. On Sunday they are open from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Monday they are closed. You probably won't find dozens of any one item in the bakery case on a random given day. If you want quantities of anything, you're better off calling ahead and placing an order. They are happy to do that and you'll avoid being disappointed. They also do party platters. Final Assessment: Simply outstanding. Excellent!!! Being European (and also literally just getting home from a visit overseas) it was an amazingly pleasant surprise to try our first meal here! The food is superb it is not "Americanized" French food -thank goodness!! The Parisian sandwiches are just as we had in the street kiosks or local cafes abroad,we were so thrilled to be able to experience one of our favorites here locally at home. The Tartines are divine full of flavor and fresh, we have tried the potato and also the Italian version. The macaroons are perfect and delectable. We tried a strawberry tart at our last visit and I have been craving another since. I sincerely cannot rave enough about this new quaint and authentic spot tucked away here in the Cape so excited and happy to have them! Wow! First of all let's address the quality of the pastry... again, wow! I have to say their Chocolate Crescent is way better than ( sorry) Norman Loves! Most of us locals know how good his stuff is! In addition to the 'bomb' Chocolate Crescent,we picked up a couple of Madelines(sp?), a lemon Tart and a Apple Turnover. Pastry was light, flakey, buttery and crispy. The Lemon Tart was one of the best I have Ever had... seriously. Something about the perfect light crisp of the shell and the Lemon Curd they used... geez, so good.
