I say this like it was easy, but my "baby" girl is 15 years old: blind, mostly deaf, and cantankerous! She doesn't trust a lot of people, and those who have tried to make her look beautiful typically get frustrated with her attitude and leave her looking lopsided. Not true with the wonderful ladies here! They were so patient and so gentle with her and cleaned her up so nicely. They took about five years off her appearance with their skill sets. I'm not sure that these folks actually want to adopt out their rescue pups. Was approved and got…read morean email stating I was approved. Second email said wait 5-7 days and respond with dogs you're interested in, which I did. Never heard back. Ended up going to a local rescue and adopted a senior companion with special needs to add to the family. Our last rescue we had for over 11 years and we kept in touch with not only his rescue (yearly with donations and events), but with the actual person who rescued him. We are sorry ARF turned out to be such a disappointment with no communication after application approval. But nonetheless, it worked out for us and the rescue we rescued from. I was warned in the therapy dog community not to attempt to adopt from them and they were correct. Hate to leave a bad review since it's all volunteers, but simple communication goes a long way when there are a lot of pups waiting for forever homes out there.

The owner Jessica was really accommodating, came to see our place and go over everything. It was definitely a little nerve wracking to trust our pets and place to someone we just found on the internet, but it went really well. They offered to do other things to help out during visits to the home, like retrieve our mail and making our place looked lived in. The woman taking care of our cats left notes about how the cats were doing, how they were eating, which we really appreciated. The furballs were in good shape when we got home, the litter boxes were clean, etc. If we were still living in their area of service, we definitely would consider using them again if we needed pet care.

I read a previous review by Franz F and felt that I needed to post a review based on our multiple positive experiences. Being a business owner myself, I understand that it is not always easy to hire the perfect employee every time, but I also know that Ms. Jessica has high standards and expects her employees to treat their customers the same way she would expect to be treated if the roles were reversed and if they do not, she fixes the situation immediately. Also, I have noticed that she is actively involved in the community...especially in terms of animals and pets. She has worked with different agencies to help pets receive food and medical treatment for families that may be financially challenged in these tough economic times. She also holds fund raisers for animals. The way she cares about people and their pets is truly special and she is not doubt one in a million. We will continue to utilize her services time and time again and we would recommend her services to anyone with a pet.
