Whew, I haven't written a review at my favorite weekly spot since 2015! It's time for an update. You guys, i'm a regular here and honestly, don't know how I would stay properly nourished without Z's! They are my LIFELINE as a busy working mama with a pilot husband who is gone a few days a week. Having the ability to call in my order and pick it up via their drive thru (without having to take the baby out of the car) is priceless. I'm still obsessed with their Greek salad with chicken and village dressing. Yep, get it *at least* once a week, every week. They know my voice at this point. I've never strayed from this order. Everything about our visit was terrific, but the highlight for me was getting a taste of the roasted potatoes that came with my wife's lamb skewers. I'm not so sure I would have shared, had it been my meal. I went with a gyro, and it was first rate as well. Z's is an unpretentious, reasonably priced delight. They appeared to be doing quite a bit of take out and drive through business when we were there, and the friendly, efficient woman working at the counter seemed to be on a first name basis with some of the other customers. We were staying nearby, and found some places in the neighborhood to be a bit precious for our tastes. Our family loves Greek food and we have been dying to try this place. It came as a recommendation from family so today we finally pulled the trigger today. The food was similar to other Greek restaurants but the gyro platter includes potatoes and it was a great addition to the meal and it was so much food it could have been split between two people. Although it was still in the high 90s my kids wanted to sit outside. As we got settled in our food was delivered to our table and we where asked a couple of times if we were comfortable. You could tell they really cared, also it's nice to know this place has regulars as some of the customers where called by their first names. In true fashion my daughter drew a picture and presented to one of the staff members, I was amazing to see how much time they spent talking to both my daughter and my son, they were genuinely interested. As we started to pack up we we're asked by who I think is the owner (we will call him Z) if we wanted dessert. As soon as my son heard he jumped up with excitement and said yes. We left with a free piece of chocolate cake, two very happy kids and it is safe to say we will be back. read more

My neighbor convinced me to try Z's and I'm so glad she did! This little hole in the wall restaurant is delicious. And it's so convenient with a drive-thru. They are super fast and the food is amazing. My favorite is the chicken pita. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and you get a great portion on the pita. Their tzitiki is delicious as well. I was visiting Phoenix for the weekend and was looking at reviews for nearby restaurants. I came across Z's Greek and liked what I heard from the reviews. It was 40 min until they closed, but they welcomed us in & even gave recommendations since it was our first time there. The inside is very plain, but the patio was quaint & had the perfect ambiance. The food was a home run. We both had the Gyro platter & a side of hummus. I am keto, so they allowed me to substitute the rice & potatoes for more salad. The portion was truly enough for 2 people. The meat was juicy & seasoned to perfection. It was some of the best Greek food I have had. I 100% recommend Z's Greek if you ever find yourself nearby & craving amazing Greek food. I will make it a point to visit again.....& I live 2 hrs away. read more

I've been here quite a few times since my Feburary review. LOL almost weekly, but always ordering the same thing. A hole in the wall with indoor and outdoor seating on the main drag of Indian school are for those who want to grab a quick delicious lunch... they also have a drive through which I've never done. My friend and I always come in on Tuesdays. The young lady who now knows us as regulars also knows our order too. Super nice, always very pleasant and effiecient. Once you order you can sit down and she will deliver to your table. So I've had the Gyro Pita, Chicken Pita, Falafel Pita and the Falafel appetizer... all excellent! Love this place! read more

Z'Greek - This is one of my "go to" Greek spots for lunch or dinner, during the week or weekends, doesn't matter. It's maybe a 2 minute walk from my house. How perfect! My favorite meal on the minute and the most ordered for me is the Chicken Souvlaki Greek Platter that's served with a side Greek salad, rice, roasted - lemon potatoes and war pita. Honestly, it's kind of hard to put how good the food is in words. Literally every single thing on that Chicken Soulaki platter is delicious. The chicken is seasoned and grilled to perfection. The rice is cooked perfectly. So are the potatoes, you can cut them in half with just your fork. I normally eat my side Greek salad first, because that doesn't travel too well, just an FYI. The portion sizes are huge, you'll definitely have leftovers for lunch the next day. I always do! Stop in, you won't be disappointed. read more

More like 4.5. Lamb souvlaki platter was unbelievable. Included two skewers of lamb, perfectly prepared to our liking, lemon potatoes, yellow rice, and a Greek salad. Great price very generous portion. Will return just for this item. ordered the spanakopita appetizer and unfortunately, the first time it was served to me it was cold inside. The young lady with the nose ring who was super nice had it redone. The issue seems to be that the spanakopita is for made and refrigerated and then it needs to be fried to revive it. So it's hard to get it warm inside. I prefer a non-fried spanakopita or straight from the baking pan. That's why I say this rating is more 4.5 because of the spanakopita issue. But like I said, the young lady was very nice about it. The place was very clean and we ate at the outdoor tables. I like the place and will be back lots of good things to order, especially the chocolate cake that I forgot to order. it will be always on my mind as Willie Nelson might say. read more

Gyro pita is so good! Their tzatziki sauce is awesome, and I'm not really a fan of yogurt. The food is ready quickly and the staff is friendly, and brings the food to your table, they also insist you leave the plates, but I insist on cleaning up after myself. Okay, okay, okay... So in my defense, I always try to give as fair of a critique as possible. I want people to know what they are going to get before they get it; so my job is to give them just that in as much detail as I can so here it goes... This place is damn good; more so than any other Greek restaurant I've reviewed in the area of Phoenix. For reference I've been to 5. This is my first 5 star review in years and I will carefully outline why this place is worthy. Let's start with the Greek salad. I loved it. Everything about the way it came together was great. The freshness, the light crisp, the feta, the amazing dressing that went with it. I mean damn... I hate salad and I finished the entire thing. Damn good rabbit food. Next up is the main course... the gyro platter. I got the lamb (of course) because I was diving head first into this adventure. It. was. sublime. EVERYTHING was seasoned perfectly. I mean just nailed on every facet of the dish. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned great, the potatoes had this acidic, buttery taste that went so well with the rice, the lamb was sliced thinly and EVENLY like it properly should. Pita bread was also fluffy and buttery. I loved it. It's currently in my microwave being saved for later. Just perfect. read more

The platters are a great deal! Each comes with the entree of choice (I had chicken souvlaki and gyro), rice, 1 pita cut into 4 triangles, Greek salad, and tender roasted potatoes with a subtle lemon flavor. What I enjoyed the most was how well all the flavors and textures worked together. The feta and red onions in the salad were great eaten with the rice. Tzatziki makes everything better and I was pleasantly surprised each platter came with 2! The chicken souvlaki is flame grilled and fairly crispy with a char flavor. The gyro meat has the crispy sides but still very moist and flavorful. It's enough food to have leftovers comfortably for a busy weekday lunch. What a find! This unassuming spot has become our favorite place for Greek food, and for an easy and yummy dinner . And imagine this, there is a drive thru lane! We have never used the drive thru as there is lots of parking if you want to go in to pick up or eat in house. And the food! Very fresh, very tasty, very generous portions. I love the gyros, and the salads, well, I love everything that I have tried from this place. I had a falafel pita for the first time the other night, and it was moist and spicy. Use to be my favorite place but I got the worst food poisoning a few days ago. Similar to Emily in the reviews 23 days ago.

They ran out of potatoes so had to get two sides of rice. Chicken was good, but I could take it or leave it. The rice was the highlight so happy I got double. Also ordered soup but they ran out of that too and had to refund me for it. I was disappointed I couldn't try the two things I went here for. read more

The fries on both my last visits seemed to be cooked in the wrong temperature as they were hard inside, yet very greasy on the outside. The meat was not hot. My other favorite is the combination plate which comes as a full Greek plate of meat, pitas, salad, rice and potatoes. Just make sure to get some extra bomb tzatziki sauce. Holy cow! We had no idea what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. We are in town for less than 48 hours and had to stick around the property this evening as we are traveling with dogs, so we went to the delivery apps to check out options for dinner. We saw a few Greek options and knew that's what we were craving. After doing a little Yelp-investigating, we settled on Z's Greek -- and we are so happy we did! Absolutely everything we ordered was 10/10 and they even threw in an extra Greek salad on the side. The servings were also so amazingly large that I was able to eat it for dinner, breakfast, and even have some left for lunch later. Insane! The rice and potatoes were exactly what I was hoping for and the Greek Fries were probably the best fries I have ever had in my entire life.
