Zachary the owner gave me some great advice I actually knew of already, just so busy figured I would check to see if I could help out local companies. A couple quotes came out to be outrageous to just install a seal around my garage door companies were asking $250-$300. Completed the job myself under $50 buck. I am pretty handy and have my own tools and I actually do facility maintenance. Garage door load spring broke on Friday, but we were leaving for a trip. We gave them a call first thing Monday morning (2-12-2024) and they responded very quickly via text. He texted us back that he was at another job in town and would head on out to Ewa Beach right after. He showed up an hour and a half later. His professional eye noticed that the original spring was small and over-wound, so he suggested installing a beefier one. To top it off, he greased all moving parts. I've had my fair share of very dishonest and nightmarish encounters with some home repair services that I found through google search. We had such an awesome experience with Zach! Our garage door is only a year old (new build too, go figure!) and started making the loudest, annoying sound when opening and closing the door. Zach responded right away to my yelp inquiry and had an opening that same day! Initially he suggested I go through our builders warranty since the door was so new, but said he'd check it out. I should have done this a long time ago. I loved everything about my two interactions with Zach: he's kind, professional, and prompt. When he first came to the house we had just purchased, he was shocked to see how the garage door had been installed and amazed that it was till working. Best experience and customer service! My mother had searched on Yelp and found a couple of garage door repair companies. The first one I called placed me on the estimate schedule list and told me they would call me when available..the second company was ZS Overhead Doors! I was sent to his voicemail around 12:14 p.m. but Zach returned my call at 12:27 p.m.!!! I requested a quote on our garage door that has been acting up for years now and completely stopped working from this raining weather! He took time to ask me a few questions such as what color is the sensors, is it blinking and which parts were not working. I explained that one sensor was blinking red, the wall button did not work and our garage door could not fully open or stay down! He instructed me to align and clean the sensors to make my garage door work again. Unfortunately, my garage door was still not working. I called Zach back and he offered to stop by in 30 minutes! Zach and his assistant arrived 30 minutes later and fixed my garage door! He explained one of the sensors were filled with water and replaced them with used sensors. Zack from Zs Overhead Doors immediately answered the phone when I called about the issue with my very old garage door and was able to come over to examine it within an hour or two. He noticed what was wrong with it right away. The drive belt was missing teeth in a section which didn't allow the door to open or close properly. He educated me and even noticed part of my garage framing had fallen down. He said he would replace the belt, which he had on hand and if it wasn't the issue, he would remove the belt at no cost. Who even does that? What quality service! Well, the belt was the issue and he even bolted back the piece of framing for me, and didn't ask for compensation. His fee for both labor and parts was very reasonable. Needless to say, I was impressed and gave him more than what he charged me for.
