This is my first escape room experience. Wasn't sure what to expect and how it will be. It was a big group of around 30 and we split to 3 teams. Tried the Toy Box and Prison Break back to back. Trust me, it wasn't easy. But it we had a great fun decoding each clue and solve the puzzles to find the escape door. The puzzles were intuitive. They had put a lot of thoughts on those and designed them well. We had super fun that day. No idea how those 60 mins flew by. Sorry that I couldn't recollect names of any staffs from that day. But they were amazing. Helpful and made sure we had fun. They have the VR room which I didn't explore. They told that they will be setting up more rooms soon. Obviously I can't try these two rooms again, but will try the VR and the new ones in future. read more

Omg this place is amazing!! Celebrated my husband's birthday here last minute and the guys running it are super nice and accommodating. The extra touches they added to make it feel like they personalized it just for us was super mind blowing! I honestly couldn't figure out any of the puzzles on my own, I was like the person to keep the notes lol. But with our group, we did beat it with time to spare and requested around 4 clues to help keep us moving. I can't wait for their other rooms to open because this is addicting! read more

Little disappointed with what we got for $318 to book a private room.... the website looks amazing but maybe my expectations were high because the website was quality. The actual place it's self seemed a little "janky" that was the word we kept using... 1. The lobby is some folding chairs dim lighting and a folding table with props for a make shift photo booth? 2. We were greeted, and then we filled out a waiver, they have one bathroom that's outside the building and down the stairs- they ran out of toilet paper and had no soap and though we told them they did not replace or refill. 3. The game started with a young girl rapidly explaining things to us, and she was a little hard to understand but sweet. We got no back story till the end and she said "oh yeah you guys were kids that shrunk yourselves and you have to grow yourselves back before your parents get home" hmm thanks for the dedication to the story.... 4. Game started off well we were having fun there were 10 of us, took a while to get the guys attention everytime we needed a clue and he would give us clues to things we already solved....(he wasn't paying attention) his clues weren't making sense so he had to physically come in.... we explained we already solved the riddles that he kept giving us clues to and he actually said "sorry I'm watching your game and doing a couple other things" Whaaat!!? Over all it was hard for us, that's not their fault but then again it may have been helpful if we had guidance when we asked etc. For what we got the price point was waaay to much, this place is worth maybe $15 a person?? Went last night, and it was very fun! Highly recommend. We did prison escape and it was challenging but manageable. Although, we did receive a few tips. I didn't get the name of the person running the game but he was very friendly and helpful! Abides by Covid cleaning standards too. You get a private room and they leave hour blocks in between games to clean the rooms thoroughly. We plan to come back again to try the other room "Toy Box". read more

I've only done 6 escape rooms so far, but this has definitely been one of my favorites. The staff was very friendly and you can tell that they have a passion for escape rooms. Being a new business (I'm glad to see a new escape room in the East Bay Area!), there is only one room, but puzzles were challenging, creative, and fun. Most of our group of 10 had never done an Escape room. We came here for our sons 18th bday and had a blast! I would have given a 5 star but one of the locks in the Prison room didn't work which we didn't know until after. Very frustrating to get so close to finishing without a clue only to find out the lock on the diary doesn't always work. Seemed like the worker couldn't open it either. He told us it doesn't always work. Such an easy fix I don't know why it hasn't been replaced. But a fun time! read more

Gotta say, this was pretty fun. We had to ask for a lot of clues, which are given as often as you ask, but I was in a small group of just my wife and I, so we didn't have as many brains trying to work out the clues. Some of the clues were pretty hard to figure out, but that's the idea! Definitely worth checking out, I'm sure I'll be back at some point. Give yourself extra time getting there as finding the unit was still tricky even with the given diagrams. There are no signs from the main street that we could find. Made several loops before finding the building. Arrived and welcomed by pleasant staff. Given plenty of getting started info. The toy box room was warm and stuffy maybe think twice if you are claustrophobic. 3 adults and 6 kids. Great idea to split up and work in pairs if you are also a large group. We used several hints as we had some challenges along the way. Without our kids and the hints we never would have completed it within an hour. Hands down to anyone who escaped without any hints from staff. read more

Taylor and Zach did an amazing job! We did both VR games, Mad Mind and Space Hero's. Both blew my mind. The Hero was an easy introductory game. Mad Mind had more challenging games. We were able to solve both games within the time frame. It's a GREAT way to spend an evening. 30$ per person, for a solid game, personally I feel it's worth it. We're going back to do the escape rooms in the next few weeks, frankly I can't wait!!! I had my 15th birthday party at Zscape games, and it was a blast! All ten of my friends and I could comfortably fit in the huge rooms. The puzzles were fun, complicated, and cool! The decoration, and setting of the whole place was very inviting and perplexed. With colorful lights to set the mood, and realistic prison ornamentation. The staff was very helpful and kind, giving us helpful clues and setting the scene. None of my friends have ever been to an escape room, and they all had a blast at Zscape, and said they would want to go again! After we escaped the room, we all took pictures with the decorations, and then went to eat at the pizza place right across the street from Zscape. All in all, Zscape games is a very friendly environment, a great escape room, and 10/10 would recommend having your birthday party, team party, family night, or friends hangout at Zscape games. read more

We did the prison escape room and were put in a group with two other people, which we were aware could happen. This was about my 13th escape room and the first time that I had been mixed with strangers. It worked out to be great as we worked really well together. As for the room itself, the immersion was above and beyond. The puzzles were very channeling but yet doable. The flow from puzzle to puzzle was really nice, and from room to room was also good. I did the Toy Room with a group of my friends and we had a lot of fun! We were able to escape with 12 minutes to spare. We had a group of 10 whjch I felt like was quite large for the escape but I'd definitely come again and do the prison room with a smaller group. Zack was really nice and accommodating for our group because we wanted to personalize it for a friend's baby shower last minute. He was very helpful and had a positive attitude.
