This new restaurant is in the old Cheddar's location. I came here with a group of 10 and we fit perfectly at a hibachi table. They did insist that we wait for everyone in the party to be present before seating us. We got there early at 4:30 and it wasn't too busy, but there seemed to be a large wait as we were leaving. The server was attentive and got our drinks quickly for a large group. The food was great. I ordered a steak and scallop hibachi. I got 3 large scallops. The steak was a little too rare for medium rare so next time I'd order medium. I like that you get a large portion of chicken fried rice AND noodles. The hibachi entrée came with a soup, salad, 3 shrimps AND ice cream. Overall it seemed like a great value! I took half my food home and I usually finish my meals. Of course, the cook did an excellent job of entertainment, shooting broccoli pieces into our mouths and giving out sake. My friends ordered a large number of sushi rolls and the presentation was beautiful on a boat. They did have people taking pictures of us at the table and then selling them in frames for like $20. That upsell portion is a little awkward. I'm glad Bolingbrook has a hibachi restaurant. Perfect for a nice night out!

Zuka Hibachi in Bolingbrook offers a solid and enjoyable hibachi experience that hits the right notes for service, value, and convenience. After a bad first experience we went back there to give it another try and it was much better. The Experience and Atmosphere, from the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive and quick, ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience from seating to check-out. For those driving, the parking is ample and easy, which is always a bonus for a busy location. The Food Highlights. The food quality, overall, is good. However, a standout dish that deserves special mention is the Golden Shrimp. They were perfectly cooked and flavorful, definitely a must-try item on the menu! Another positive is the competitive pricing. You get a good amount of food for your dollar here, making it a great option for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Expect to spend about $50 per person. Area for Improvement. While the food was generally good, a minor suggestion for improvement would be to lighten up on the salt. Several dishes, while tasty, felt like they had an extra dash of seasoning that could be slightly overwhelming. Cutting back on the salt would really allow the natural flavors of the fresh ingredients and the chef's sauces to shine through even more. Finally, I am not sure why they added an 18% service charge for a party of 3. Final Verdict, Zuka Hibachi is a reliable choice in Bolingbrook. With good service, easy parking, and very competitive prices, it's a great spot for a fun, flavorful, and satisfying meal, especially if you order the spectacular Golden Shrimp! A small adjustment in seasoning and clarity around 18% service charge for a party of 3 would take this spot from good to great.

No lie, this might be the best hibachi restaurant I've been to in the Chicago-land area! Ambiance: 4.5/5 There are about 10 hibachi tables and some regular tables. It is big and spacious inside. The only tiny thing is the lights can be a bit much cus they are directly overhead. However, it is nice to be able to see everything clearly haha. Service: 5/5 Everyone is welcoming, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Would like to shoutout our server (Mia), manager (Irving), and chef (Elver), who all did an amazing job taking care of us! We had such a fun time. Food: 5/5 They have the best hibachi fried rice! The grains were supple and perfectly seasoned. Everything was fresh and delicious. The golden sauce added some great artery-blocking goodness too if you're into that hahah. You can ask your chef to under-salt your food also. I tried their virgin piña colada and it was so refreshing. Overall, for the price, quantity, and quality of everything, I can definitely see our whole group coming back for more in the future!

Went here on a Thursday with 2 friends. Newly opened. Use to be a cheddars. Set at the hibachi grill. Enjoy the show! The salad and dressing was great! The soup was well seasoned but a bit salty imo. The rice, noodles, veggies, and filet mignon with teriyaki sauce was really tasty. Large portions, comparable prices. Good service, good lighting, clean. And they had someone come by and take our pictures. Gave us a nice frame for $20 bucks. So if your looking to take a group out, this might be a fun place to go.

I was in the area and decided to stop by and try out this new place. I placed the order online and it was ready at the time they said it would be. I ordered the salt and pepper shrimp. I always order salt and pepper shrimp whenever I see it on the menu somewhere because there are not too many places that sell it. I felt that this salt pepper shrimp had way too much breading on it. The shrimp were a very good size, but just too much breading for my taste. I also ordered the steak hibachi and that was very good .

I'm told there are Teppanyaki Restos in Japan, but less theatrical than the Benihana models here in…read morethe USA. We do like a bit of cabaret with our meals, don't we? I've been a few places like this, from the familiar Benihana to a long-shuttered shithole storefront in OakPark where the Chef tried valiantly to put on a show, but fortunately he was a better Chef than a Showman. Shinto, here, is a fave of Daughter #3 and her family so we took over an entire table with our Party. A bit of Sushi pre-show, (it was edible) and then, curtains UP! The repertoire of Chefs in all these joints are quite similar, and the quality is measured by how inspired the chef is, and THAT metric is subjective to the receptiveness of the table. If all are ready to have a good time, the Circuses will match the Bread. If there's a Bruno Bummer in the crowd, it's going to be a long meal. Fortunately, our crew is of the "fun" persuasion and the Chef seemed to be, as well. The theatrics were the usual moves- tossing knives (and bits of Shrimp) in the air, and each of us got a chance to catch morsels in our mouths (mostly futile). The "onion train" thing, and occasional flambé were there, as was the balancing of the bowl of rice on a knife. The "Mustard Bottle with a string" is always good for a laugh. The Menu is pretty much the same at all of these places-Shrimp, Steak, or Chicken, Salad, Fried Rice, Veggies. All theatrically prepared in front of you. All of it top-quality and tasty. It would have been a great feed even without the stage show. If you're particular to only one type of dressing on your salad, you're out of luck unless you're into Soy Ginger, which is the onliest topper you're going to find here. Personally, I dig it, but Wife who is a Ranch aficionado took a pass. The Fried Rice was exceptional. There was nothing out of the ordinary in the ingredients, so the Chef's deft hand was responsible for the Yum. The Chef was quite fun, and he got our steaks off at the perfect desired temperatures, while keeping up the theatrics. There's an option for "French Garlic" topping for the proteins which is basically Garlic, Butter, and Breadcrumbs. This stuff would make a ceiling tile palatable. If you visit here, I highly recommend it. If you're looking for something different in the Hibachi line, this ain't it. But the show and the food were top-notch Throwing a well-deserved 5 stars.

Our server, Katie, was amazing. She was attentive, funny, and gave great recommendations on both food and drinks. The menu has a wide variety of options, so her guidance definitely helped. We ordered hibachi, which was delicious and a fun experience. The chef put on a great show and even gave us cues for slow motion videos, which made it extra memorable. A few people in our group ordered sushi and said it was really good as well. I had the shrimp dinner and added calamari on the side. The shrimp portion was generous, and everything tasted great. My only complaint is the noodles. They were very thin, similar to Pad Thai noodles, and I personally prefer thicker hibachi noodles. The soup was one of the best I've tasted. The ambiance was cute and spacious, with a cool fish tank and the drinks were a highlight. I had a coconut sake drink that was so good I'd honestly go back just for that. Overall, great food, fun atmosphere, and excellent service. I would definitely return.

My group chose to sit in the sushi lounge since none of us planned to order hibachi. I'd say this place is moderate size when compared to the franchise Benihana. Service throughout was pretty good, at times it was slower. However, I noticed Lisa, our server, was assisting the sushi lounge and hibachi tables. She was busy busy, so I understood why things look a little bit longer. I tried 3 different rolls - Paradise roll, Butterfly roll, and the Spider roll. All are very different from each other, which I planned on purpose. Very tasty and the portion is generous with a fair price. I had plenty of left overs which my husband was grateful for haha. I really like this place and am planning to come back to try their hibachi items too.

Only carry a few soda choices and those are in 20 Oz bottles. The waiting area smelled weird and pretty big hole in a couch where you wait. Noticed lots of air purifiers scattered thru the business . The waitstaff was prompt but they were just standing around waiting for something to do. Way to many chairs at the hibachi tables. Had to move quite a few to be comfortable. Very light traffic for a Thursday night. 2 tables had customers at them. We had 4 and the other table had 4 at it. No mind you the food is not cheap. They dont tell you what the price on say lobster or scallops just says mkp. They charge for everything, If you want garlic breading or golden sauce it not included. They gave us maybe 3 tablespoons of garlic breading.
