First time here and have to say it was excellent. Lots of variety of Latin food. Shrimp Ceviche was very fresh and tangy. Camarones Plancha with Ajillo sauce was delicious. Saltado chicken was unique and very flavorful. Owner has great personality and space has very welcoming atmosphere - bright and Latin tunes playing. Zully's was named after their mother who came from El Salvador. They have a sister restaurant Carbonero in Huntsville. Definitely adding to the rotation! read more

The flavors were so delicious, even the dressing for the salad. Hubby ordered the plantain canoe, came with rice and refried beans, also very delicious. Oh my goodness! This restaurant is amazing in so many ways! We went on a Thursday and ended up coming back the next night to try some other dishes! The Chaufa rice with beef, chicken and shrimp was outstanding! Meats and shrimp were so flavorful as was the rice! It's a delicious cross between Latin and Asian! My husband had the carne guisada. Meat was so tender and sauce with vegetables was over the top tasty! It's like a stew but better! We went back the next night and I tried the carne asada with chimichurri on top! Again so flavorful and yummy. My husband had the chicken Tacos Al Carbon and loved it! I also tried their pork papusa. Again that did not disappoint! They have happy hour Mon-Fri 2-6. So shocking that this smaller bar makes some of the best drinks I've ever had! Try the lemon drop! The owners and the staff really are the icing on the cake! This is a family run business and they treat their employees like family who in turn treat the customers the same way! So run don't walk to Zully's for a fabulous dining experience! My husband and I have been to this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed the food and the service. Waitstaff personnel are always happy to describe the different types of food and make recommendations. Everyone is always so cheerful and helpful. Our last visit was with several family members visiting from out of town. Everyone enjoyed their food and we all enjoyed sharing some appetizer samplers. Our visitors were impressed and looking forward to a return visit so we can try out more of the delicious dishes. My favorite was the Carne Guisada (very different from the flavors, which I also love, at Mexican restaurants.) Nephew likes the Carne Asada, also delicious. read more

The food doesn't just speak for itself, it yells!!! Everything I have tried from here is awesome. Don't come in expecting Tex-mex. That will be a tragic mistake when you don't appreciate the array of flavors they serve up. I absolutely LOVE the Peruvian fried rice. It's such a basic dish but the spin they put on it not only makes it a meal by itself, it makes me want to love cilantro (instead of harboring the seething hate I have for the soapy weed). The drinks are incredible as well and it's fun to pair one with each course. The owner stopped by our table the first time we came in and checked on us. OMG!! This place is sooooo goooood! The rotisserie chicken is the best and you must try it, it is their specialty. For starters they give you delicious, warm red salsa with chips. Be aware that the salsa has a little kick to it and some may consider it spicy. I got the combo of 1/4 rotisserie chicken, white meat, and a beef taco on corn tortillas. They serve it with the pico de gallo on the side and I appreciated that so that I can avoid eating too spicy. The white rice, with a little salsa added, is a perfect pairing for the savory chicken. My fiancé ordered a combo of 1/4 chicken and a pupusa and she loved every bit of her meal. We really like this place and can't wait to try more of their menu. read more

Very good food that's a great break from the "normal" area Mexican food. My whole family loves it

Some things here are excellent and others are the worst excuse for food I've ever had. Let's start off with cold stale chips, fail, then the salsas, flavorless, boring, drab, the green is hot, but that's all I can say about it, they just need to redo their salsas, it's not rocket science -- seriously Pace picante is more flavorful. Ropa vieja, and shrimp (camarones diablo) are both excellent, both are stewed dishes, and that seems to be what they do best here -- highly recommended. For a Christmas dinner party with family we took the whole family, I ordered the chimichurri steak, which they asked how I wanted it cooked, and I said medium rare, I got a literal piece of tough sinewy shoe leather, easily the worst steak I've ever had, gray, over cooked, tough, and covered in the poorest excuse for chimichurri I've ever had, how ****ing difficult is parsley, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, and oregano? Green goop, tasted like yard trimmings. Truly a waste of a $20 meal, absolute garbage. Lomo saltado was the poorest excuse for Peruvian food I've ever had, soggy fries, what seemed to be bell pepper tasted rotten, and a few scant pieces of the same garbage tough steak. So let's wrap this up, if you order a stewed dish you're probably fine, if you order something nicer like a steak or stir fry dish like saltado, clearly they don't know what they're doing with those, or their chef has all the talents of a high school student's home-ec class. And worse they're not cheap, they're priced in the upper medium to premium pricing but the quality of the food does not match the price at all. Service the first time was average, and has been worse every time we've been back, so much for taking care of regular customers. This place has potential, but clearly consistency, food quality, and a well trained/competent chef are truly lacking. I should have sent my food back or asked for a refund. read more

Doesn't look like much when you drive past it, in fact. I've driven past this place for almost a year now. This morning my gf and I wanted to have lunch. But wanted something different. We sat on our phones for almost an hour bickering back and fourth on what there is around us, and what we are actually in the mood for. So we narrowed it down to four places with Zully's being one of them. We drove around and actually went to another restaurant before deciding it wasn't what we wanted. So we pulled up to Zullys after the first failure. We pull up, a nice gentleman opens to he door for us before we even get to the door. We have someone at our table taking care of us within seconds upon seating. Service has been nothing but incredible. Super happy about this place. I hope it survives! read more

I went in and tried their Pupusas, chicken and cheese. These were more Tex-Salvadorian food to say not in pressed. I also tried the PASTELITOS DE POLLO those were ok but to much oil. I will be trying out some more food but just be aware it's not authentic. read more

Zully's is a hidden gem in Willis, TX. We have recent moved to TX and decided to settle in Willis. The only drawback is that Willis does not have as many places to eat as (say) The Woodlands. We decided to go to Zully's for lunch one Saturday following up on a recommendation from a colleague of mine who also lives in Willis. I am glad we followed up on this recommendation. We have never had El Salvadoran food so we didn't really know what to expect. We didn't know what a treat we were in for. To begin with, this restaurant is not very fancy looking place, but it's clean and also has a full bar. I cannot remember what our appetizer was called but it was like an empanada and was stuffed with pork and vegetables and cheese and was so delicious! I had the shrimp Diablo for my entree while my husband had the chaufa rice which is a form of fried rice. My entree came with some chaufa rice and a great big avocado salad. The Diablo was spicy but I ordered it because I like spicy food. Both dishes were very flavorful and lip-smacking tasty! We could not finish because the portions were quite big. We had enough for dinner for the two of us next day. If you have never tried El Salvadoran food, I highly recommend this place. read more

My favorite restaurant is now in Willis!!! The different name might throw you off but this is essentially the same as the famous Carbonero in Huntsville. Just tried it out and the recipes are indeed the same deliciousness I'm used to Along with VERY fair prices. Chips and salsa are solid and I always order the quarter chicken (DARK MEAT ) with a side of chaufa rice (you must order this with any and every meal here) and extra cabbage slaw. So stinking good. Don't forget to ask for yellow (kind of white but it's called yellow sauce) and green sauce. The pupusas are to die for and I usually order pork, but my waitress suggested pork and shrimp so I'll try that next time. Plantains and yucca are solid sides that you have to try. Margaritas are always delicious too. Just can't say enough about this place read more
