Top to bottom: Sweetheart Roll, Crunchy Roll, Rainbow Roll, Sexy Roll
Samantha A.

When you first walk in, the restaurant is a little underwhelming. The decor is simple, nothing fancy. Yet, this is one of the best sushi restaurants in Columbus. No need for the frills! However, their sushi presentation is always beautiful. They are always busy with both dine-in patrons and take out orders. They run on limited staff, so come here with some patience. I promise the food is so worth it and is always consistently good. Their sushi rolls are massive here! Specialty rolls are averagely priced for sushi in Columbus, but larger than average! All rolls we ordered were $10-$16. The sweetheart roll is decadent and a steal! $13 for 12 pieces is insane. The rainbow roll is a delicious classic, coming in 8 massive pieces too. If you love a little sweet and spicy mix, the sexy roll is for you!! The crunchy roll is a great choice for BBQ eel lovers. Seriously you can't go wrong with any sushi item here, their fish quality is excellent.

The sushi was great! They were pretty busy when we got there Friday night, so se sat at the bar instead of waiting for a table. The service was great and everyone was working hard to serve customers. The coconut soup was delicious. We will be back for sure.

All sushi rolls we have tried from here have been delicious! Servers have been friendly. We have been twice and plan to again in the future. Very good sushi.

Pros: Easy to get to and park Fast take out service Fresh fish Delicious tempura Varied menu Cons: Ramen lacked strong flavor Sushi was fresh, but flavor was average Difficulty understanding the message on their answering machine about hour change on Wednesday Pro tip: If ordering takeout, call early - they get busy!

Pad Thai

Pricey! We got the boat for 2, softshell crab appetizer for a whopping $11.95! A pad thai & crispy tofu. Service was prompt, place was not packed on a Saturday and we were seated right away without reservation. Average sushi preps and taste. We just gotta try, probably won't be back as there are plenty other sushi places more reasonable for the same quality.

Definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in Columbus. If your looking for the highest quality of fresh sushi, this place is a must try. Trust me, after you try this place, you'll be coming back. The service at Sapporo is also top-notch. If your looking for a server who can make great recommendations, is attentive and quick to help, this restaurant is for you. If your looking for a simple roll, the tuna roll they serve is very different then the ones you typically get at a sushi restaurant. You will immediately taste the freshness in this classic sushi roll. I highly recommend the Smokey Mountain Roll. This roll comes with crunchy crab salad, cream cheese and cucumber, topped with smoke salmon, avocado and sweet chili sauce and is full of flavor. This place really is a gem.

This was a great plan B after the restaurant we intended to eat at was closed unexpectedly on a Saturday night. It does not look too inviting from the outside and interior is simple, but the sushi really delivered. Presentation and flavors were outstanding. The Thai food was not as successful. I ordered Massaman curry with tofu, and received a dish filed with carrots and onions...and a few pieces of tofu. Pad see ew tasted great but had like three tiny pieces of broccoli and hardly any chicken. We will return, but for sushi only.

Quaint little sushi joint located in a strip mall off of the main drag in Westerville. I am not even sure how I found this place online but after viewing the menu I knew I wanted to come here. There is so much variety when it comes to picking out a roll here! The birdie roll and the putter roll were my favorite of all 5 I tried but they were all delicious! This place has the most choices that I actually wanted to try than any other sushi joint. Service was quick and decent, we were seated right away around 8:30 and our food came out pretty quickly. If I didn't live 30 min away from here, I would definitely come back often, but I definitely know I want to come here again!!

I never knew this place was up in Westerville area, but glad i had a taste for sushi and yelp gave me this location. Ordered edamame, shrimp tempura roll, sweet potato roll, and the putter roll which i took a picture of it, bc everything else was gone in our bellies already. Everything was delicious, very clean restaurant, friendly staff, i'm definitely coming back again for take out again or to sit in, but i'll be back.

I went here with my husband for dinner. He likes nigiri while I like sushi rolls. He was able to order individual nigiri and I ordered two rolls. Everything tasted very fresh and presented nicely. We also had edamame and crab Rangoon. The edamame was cooked very well with light salad and perfect portion for two. The crab Rangoon was amazing! Tons of filling, big portion and the sauce tasted like honey. If in the area again we will Definately return!

Sushi was the best, had a spider roll not only better than akai hana, but much cheaper. Salad and Miso soup are huge. Totally recommend.

Great Asian Restaurant? I'd say so!…read more Here's 5 reasons for my 5 stars... * It's Asian Fusion - There's a wide range of American-Chinese,Thai, and House Created dishes... * There's a relaxing upscale casual ambiance. * They have a full service bar * Excellent service * High quality, flavorful food. I was pleased with Mark K and my first visit. It's in a small strip mall, but It's a lot nicer than what you would normally expect to find.. Mark got: Southern Style Egg Rolls - Very Tex-Mex. Good, filling, and not too spicy. Beef Pad Thai - Decent, but not mind-blowing. Could use more scrambled eggs and bean sprouts. I got: Hot And Sour Soup - Quite good with a nice smokey flavor. General Tso's Chicken - It's as good as it gets, folks, meaning it's a rival to my favorite at China Bell in Grove City. The sauce is excellent! The chunks of white chicken meat are just lightly breaded enough to hold the sauce but not overpower the dish. I'd say it's a 95% chicken to 5% breading ratio. And they still serve it with broccoli. Outstanding! I'd go back again to do some more exploring in a heartbeat. Like I said, 5 stars.

I'll start with what was good: the Mei fun, takoyaki, and the (delicious) egg roll. What lacked for me were the soups and the sesame chicken. I can see many people loving the sesame chicken, but I like mine drenched in sauce, and this felt like a healthier version with a glazed grilled chicken taste. I am also not the biggest fan of Asian soups but I always try them in case I find one that changes my mind. People may love the soups as well.

The chicken was tender and flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the bowl was loaded with fresh ingredients including edamame, cabbage, and vegetables that added great color, texture, and crunch. Everything tasted fresh and well balanced, with the teriyaki bringing just the right amount of savory sweetness. The portion was generous, making it an especially satisfying meal. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and welcoming, with a stylish yet comfortable feel that makes it a great spot for lunch or dinner. A special shout-out to Eli, who provided excellent service and added a fun touch to the experience by bringing me a to-go container for the one lone grain of rice I had left. That little moment gave us a good laugh and perfectly matched the restaurant's personality, right down to the "Batman and RAMEN" sign outside. I really enjoy the food, it was made well and overall pretty good. I wasn't prepared for the broccoli in my ramen but it was good. The ramen was good, flavorful, and interesting. I would recommend the ramen, it's good! I didn't quite like the calamari because it was a little dry and the batter was a bit hard to eat. The dipping sauce with the calamari was not quite flavorful and it could use more seasoning. Overall, I liked my meal and the ambiance. Staff was very nice and very helpful. My server was attentive and super cool. I had a good experience. I would recommend for a good meal and great staff. It's a great place for a group, a casual date, or great meal!

By far one of my favorite new restaurants, The Blue Sushi really exceeded my expectations,…read moreespecially since my expectations of sushi restaurants in Midwestern states are usually tempered. From the parking lot, The Blue Sushi does not look like much, but once you step inside, the décor is refined and elegant. We were seated immediately, and our server David was excellent with his recommendations and patience as we looked through the menu. We ended up ordering the Crispy Tuna roll, the Angry Lobster roll, the American Dream roll, and a steak Hibachi. The Hibachi comes with a side of salad and fried rice and was delicious. All the rolls were beautifully made and plated, and they tasted even better. We left full and satisfied and we will be back soon!

Now my life has changed, and I can take advantage of lunch at these places. Completely empty at noon on a weekday, a little disturbing. But, better than not being able to get in. Classy inside, nice seating options, quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Excellent service throughout. Large sushi menu, plus hot entrees, many apps, etc. A lot I wanted to try. But I had to start with the crab Rangoon tarts. Never seen it this way. Three fairly small tartlets, nice crust, with a dollop of "Rangoon" filling. Could have used more in each tart, but tasty enough. The sauce is a little zippier than most for crab Rangoon. Good, different, not amazing. And that pretty much describes the rest of the meal. Were my expectations too high? Nothing was bad, everything was pretty good, but not amazing. I had the Red Scorpion roll next. Mid-sized, a nice roll of kani, tuna, avocado, and more, topped with several sauces. Barely fit each piece in my mouth. Tasty, but again not amazing. Not what I expected from a place like this with reviews this high. A little heat, far from the spicy suggested by the name and reviews. Also had unagi and toro nigiri. Again, good, not great. Neither was as tender as I'd hoped, though decent all in all. Flavors were good on the unagi, and the toro was somewhat buttery/creamy but not on par with others I've had. Hmph. Cost was not bad, considering the decor of the place and that it's sushi. I left full but not overstuffed. I'd come back, maybe for a date night. But it's not incredible, and I guess I fell for the buzz.

Given that it's technically in a strip mall, my expectations weren't very high but I was quickly transported and impressed. I've been to quite a few Omakase dinners that left more to be desired and this was not the case here. The dinner here was on par with some I've had in NYC. We opted to add on the premium course which I would recommend highly. The wagyu was absolutely incredible. The courses were timed well and I felt extremely satisfied. One thing to note is that they do not sell wine by the glass. You'll want to order a bottle or do the pairing. We did not do the pairing since my husband had to drive, but coming back I would definitely add that. For the premium omakase, a bottle of wine, and one additional piece of nigiri each, our dinner for two ran around $440 before tip.
