She was very pleased with both items. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and started with some bread and butter. Granted, I didn't realize the bread and butter isn't gratis. I would've taken the rest home with me given the fact I only consumed two small pieces. The chicken cutlet was cooked to perfection and the presentation was beautiful. The chicken topped with an egg, a few mushrooms, some pickled onions, and fresh greens. Unfortunately, the dish was extremely bland. I would've enjoyed it a heck of a lot more had there have been seasoning added to the breading. After dinner, Morgan and her team surprised my friend with a slice of chocolate pie and sang her "Happy Birthday." Finally, we enjoyed some mint tea as a finale to our meal. The delightful hostess advised it was a 15 minute wait so we went to the bar and sat right away. The friendly bartenders took our drink and food orders. I got a lychee cosmo which looked and tasted amazing even without an actual lychee in the drink. My husband settled on one of the IPAs recommended by the bartender that wasn't too bad for a gal who despises beer. I ordered the highly coveted poke nachos for my entree and hubby got the fettuccine Alfredo. The tuna looked and tasted delicious. I did have to take most of the Serrano peppers off as they had my mouth on fire. We watched old music videos on the bar TV and reminisced how packed it use to be on weekend nights where you could barely walk through the restaurant. Overall it was a grand time. Unfortunately, my latest visit ended on a sour note. A manager brought a few dishes to our table. Just as he started walking away, I said, "Sir..." Nothing. I said it again. Still nothing. The third time, I said it louder because I know he heard me each time. He finally turned around and responded with, "WHAT?" in a very nasty tone. Excuse me? I simply needed his attention and this was the response. That's not how you speak to a customer especially as a manager, the person who should be setting the standard for hospitality. I later asked our server what his name was, without explaining why, and she told me it was Ed. Ed clearly needs a refresher in customer service because that interaction was completely unnecessary. I really should report my experience directly to corporate office just because of how unnecessarily nasty this man was.

The food was mediocre at best. The potato's on my sausage and peppers dish were cold. Clearly this restaurant was understaffed and most of the food was underwhelming. The best part was the ice cream covered in a chocolate shell, delicious. The menu had a price of 36.99 for the NY Strip Au Poivre yet the check had a price of 49.99! Clearly none of the qualities of the old NTP carried over to this location. Very disappointed. Two stars, one for the dessert and one for a server who saw we were struggling with ours and pitched in to help towards the end of our $182.00 meal.
