There are SO many different types of party supplies here! So many Halloween costumes. I feel like I found everything I was looking for at mostly decent prices. I ordered balloons for the following day, but when I arrived they weren't ready. I was fine to wait and the workers were nice. We had issues with the Mylar balloon I chose, but the true reason for the low rating is that not even 48 hours after picking the balloons up they are not floating at all. I feel like when I used to buy balloons they would last for like a week! I don't know if it has to do with the helium shortage or if zurchers is cutting theirs with something else to save money. I guess long story short this is a good place for most party supplies, just don't buy latex balloons and have them filled up here. read more

Zurchers in West Jordan has employees who lie about inventory and kids squishy toys being in stock. Twice now I've called and been told they didn't have any, then went into the store within 20-30 minutes to find they do have them in stock. When I asked an employee about it, she said their manager tells them to lie. Not a very good look for the employees there and horrible customer service in my opinion. read more

I ordered a bouquet of balloons for my son who is coming home from his 2 year church mission. I ordered 1 star balloon that said "welcome home" on it & a picture of a missionary tag. This was obviously the most important balloon in the bouquet. When my husband picked up the bouquet they told him the star ballon had popped so they replaced it with a blue star balloon. He didn't know what the star balloon was. They didn't bother to notify me it had popped & that that was the last one of those balloons. Horrible customer service. I never would have bought the bouquet of balloons if they didn't have that particular balloon in the first place. read more

I worked with a manager the other day and she went above and beyond trying to help me plan a party. I went to Zurchers searching for balloons in the shape of numbers for a birthday. They had tons of options for me, and they also were available to fill up the balloons. I was in a rush and worried that it'd take too long to fill the balloons, but it only ended up taking two minutes. Great service! I was helped at the register by a young girl named trinity. SHE did a great job, but didn't know what to do when the costume didn't ring up at the advertised discount price. She went to her supervisor, Averi, who is rude, has no customer service skills and should be demoted and trained. She wanted to argue that the item i had wasn't on sell when i told her over and over the sale tag is on the peg i got the item from. I had to yell at her to get her to walk to the item on the shelf and actually look at it, then she told me she didn't appreciate me yelling at Trinity. I wasn't yelling at trinity. I walked in with a specific item in mind, not knowing if Zurcher's carried it or not. Turns out, they did not. But, boy did they have lots of other party supplies and decor. The store was clean, the layout easy to navigate and the lighting was bright. I would have liked to have a bit of employee interaction. Sure, I could have approached the check stands and asked for assistance, but they were just enough out of the way that I didn't walk up there. If they had some available staff closer to the product floor to assist customers, that would have made my visit more pleasant, and possibly resulted in a substitute purchase if they didn't carry what I was looking for. However, the variety and selection of other party supplies is wide enough that I'll likely return when I want to throw a party in the future. read more

Zurchers is your one stop shop to everything you need for throwing an event! This place has party supplies in a variety of colors, year round costumes (outfits, wigs, makeup, accessories), and themed events (milestone birthdays, bachelorette, prom nights etc)! Prices are reasonable, but you're also paying for convenience. I went to several different stores looking for certain colors and trying to be cheap, when I should've came here and purchased everything. I know the reviews below mentioned customer service being pretty bad, but I didn't seem to need their help with anything. It may be best to find an inspiration on your own and online before coming here. read more

zurchers charges you almost $1.00 to fill balloons that you don't buy In the store. Also if they are responsible for popping any of them then your shit out of luck. Your out the balloon and out the money you spent. That's crazy. Most the people filling up the balloons are teenage kids. read more

The 2.5 star rating on the location is almost accurate. I would give it one star. This elderly lady and myself are the only one wearing face mask, even though it is literally the law to wear one. An employee welcomed in a group of 5 (maybe family or close friends) and not one of them were wearing a mask. I will never shop at this store or this company again, unless the crack down on those who are not wearing masks. It's a sign of respect people, wear a mask. read more

I've shopped at this Zurchers location twice. Both times were horrible customer service experience. Tonight I went to return two items. There were five employees behind the register/ ballon area. One person was ringing up an order (20+ items) and one checking in a helium tank. One employee sweeping behind the registers and two employees looking in a binder. The two employees just kept looking at the people in line then back at the binder. I worked in retail previously for eight years. If a line begins to form, get people rung up and then return to your task. I was waiting about five minutes to return two items. I'm disappointed none of the other three employees jumped in to support the other two employees. Very disappointed! I haven't had the same experience at different Zurchers locations. read more

I wish Zurchers didn't have the monopoly over party stores in the Salt Lake Valley. Sure, they've got a rainbow of paper plates & more party supplies then you can shake a stick at, but nothing is super quality & if you need help? Forget it. They employ a team of high schoolers that don't seem to give a care about asking if you need anything even if you're standing at the counter next to them for 5 minutes watching them text. Last time I was purchasing something they kid checking me out dropped the f bomb when he couldn't get the register to read my card. I'm not offended by language, but I don't think your workplace right in front of a customer is the best place to be lighting it up with the swears. My suggestion is to get in & get out if you really have to get something that only they will have. But maybe check out Target or Wal-Mart in order to possibly avoid a trip in to Zurchers. read more

The store has a large selection of items but the customer service lacks. No one is blatantly rude, however no one tries to go above and beyond either. I ordered balloons to be picked up at a certain time, I was 45 minutes late and felt bad. Went in yesterday to buy balloons for my daughter's birthday party which is today. I asked for hi float and to have them filled. Came downstairs this morning and 7 out of 16 of them were on the floor!! I'm so upset! I ran this errand yesterday because I don't have time today. Plus, the customer service at this location is horrendous! Out of the five different employees I saw while in the store, not one of them was smiling or looked semi happy. Every time I go in I am greeted so that is something worth mentioning. However, many of the prices on the tags are not there (ripped off), supplies are low or completely gone, and when I go find someone to get some help they never know the answer to my questions. I really like Zurchers as a whole but this particular location needs some serious management and store updates. read more

I guess they can have one star for the variety of balloons and decorations they offer. I've been to some of the other locations and this is the only one with horrible service. I went to order balloons early this week to be picked up three day later. I got home and realized I was overcharged. The guy charged me the price of a filled balloon and then charged me again to fill it. I went the next day to get a few more items and get this fixed. There were two cashiers. One finished her line and turned off her light to sort through items in a cart, while the rest of us stood in line waiting for the other cashier. He was nice but didn't know how to fix my issue and called a manager over. She didn't even acknowledge THEIR mistake and made it seem like I was being the pain. I paid for balloons to be picked up the next day at 1 pm, only because I wanted to make sure I would get the graduation balloons before they ran out. When I came, they gave me an order that was not mine and realized they gave my order to someone else, which I'm not sure how is possible when the colors were totally different than mine! O and I forgot to mention the cashier with her lane light on and she was sitting where the bags go, while playing with her phone! I was more mad at the fact that they didn't even care about their mistake and didn't understand my frustration. They told me to pick the same balloons I got yesterday and it would take 5 minutes. At that point, the special ones I got were sold out. They didn't care about their mistake and again there was no apology whatsoever. It's like you are required to be stupid to work there. I've also had similar experiences as the other reviewers, they don't want to help you find anything and their social lives come first. Definitely wont be going to this location again! read more
