Booked at the Lux for a football game and decided to eat at their restaurant. Big mistake HUGE. Service was nonexistent. Waitress was overwhelmed though the place was practically empty. We were asked to pay for our food at the table when we ordered which already included a 7% service charge and additional gratuity for the waitress. Should have known that was a sign everything would be terrible. Sat for at least 25 minutes before even getting my watered down lemonade ($4.25) and another 35 minutes before getting my chicken BLT/fries ($20.99) which I first noticed came with pickles??? Since when does a BLT, which was advertised as chicken, bacon, lettuce, and tomato, come with pickles? Moving along..two bites in and I almost threw up from eating raw chicken. I mean completely RAW. Took another 25 minutes for the waitress to even come back to the table for me to notify her and ask for a refund. A "manager" then came to the table and didn't even look at my food. It took ANOTHER 20 minutes for a receipt to be printed to show I was getting a refund. The receipt provided to me had barely any info. I asked for the original itemized receipt (remember I already paid and money was deducted from my bank account) which I was told was not available. The mall cop trigger happy security officer told me to leave the premises or he would arrest me...for asking for a receipt! Terrible experience. Terrible food. Terrible people. I typically refrain from providing reviews, but this experience necessitates attention. KC Red Nation had a prior agreement with Zuri Lounge, which included the provision of two additional TVs for our tailgate event. However, the owner failed to fulfill this obligation. Furthermore, it was agreed that hotel guests with wristbands could attend our event, but on the day of the event, the front desk staff began issuing wristbands to anyone, causing confusion. I intervened to restrict access to our private event, at which point a security guard approached me aggressively, stating that I had no authority and should allow the individuals to enter the bar area. I refused and attempted to speak with the owner, who responded by threatening to call the Fort Worth Police and claiming that I had touched him. My wife intervened, and the security guard attempted to assault her, prompting me to step in and protect her. The security guard then made a motion to draw his handgun, at which point my business partner warned him against doing so. We left the premises due to the hostile environment, and I was subsequently detained by the police. We are aware that the owner provided false information to the police, as he claimed that the security guard did not have a gun, despite having over 25 eyewitnesses who would testify otherwise. I questioned the police about the security guard's intentions during the heated conversation, and he stated that he was reaching for his phone. It is worth noting that the hotel's security cameras may have captured the incident. I advise others to avoid Zuri Lounge due to this experience. Stayed at the Lux with my children this past weekend for a football competition at the AT&T stadium. After returning to the hotel that evening after the games we had an appetite and excited to try the hotel restaurant since they were only open for dinner hours. Upon arrival there were only 2 other patrons aside from staff. Staff were all sitting at tables socializing with each other and we were immediately told not to touch the balloons as they were for an event later that night. Totally understandable and sat far away. Our waitress approached and informed us they only have 3 things on a very large menu--fried crawfish, shrimp and something else. So i asked for a discount due to lack of preparation nor alert to hotel host. Waitress goes up to a woman at a table talking to ask her if this would be ok, to which this incredibly inconvenienced woman aggressively shakes her head no and goes back to the table to continue playing friends with the staff at the table. So when I requested to ask her/ explain we were just tired from a long day of competition she shuts down and says Zuri is not part of hotel and its not her problem that their restaurant doesn't have food. So since she wasn't part of the hotel I suggested clearly a negative review is possible. If the hotel gives excellent service and the restaurant does not. That did not go over well with her so she immediately yelled "B*** you'd better get your a** out of here before I kick you in the face!"....mind you this was in front of my children. After talking to hotel management they graciously gave them a meal for the night from their gift shop and advised that their restaurant staff are notorious for being on drugs and aggressive so they are working to fire that staff. All in all. Would not recommend going unless you are a cop to arrest the ratchet staff here. read more

This place is inside a rather nice hotel and not very close to any other restaurants or businesses. The pictures advertising it in the hotel lobby show a couple dressed to the nines sharing a cocktail while gazing lovingly into each other's eyes. That's not this place. It's a bar plain and simple with bar food. I was hoping for a more upscale dining experience, but it's pretty much pizza and wings. So, it's not terrible; just not what I was expecting. They have held 2 paychecks from me despite several attempts I have made to retrieve it from them I was even lied to and told I could come at a specific date and time,but when I arrived the owner was not there. I reached.out to him as he is the one with my checks and of course I have yet to receive a response. The food offered at this "lounge" is tasteful bc of Golden. He is a great cook. They prices are way too expensive for bar type food. The furniture such as booths and "VIP" area are busted and need.to be replaced especially since they are charging for the use of these things. I'd heard some good things about this place so I went into the experience with a positive attitude. I knew it was a popular spot so I wanted to reserve a table. After several hours of calling without an answer, we decided to go there in person since it was very close to where I live. Right away we were both struck by how nice the place is. A flight of stairs leads up to the main lounge. Inside there were several very plush VIP booths and other seating areas. It was really nice, but it did seem a bit small to me. A gentleman saw us come in and asked if he could help us, so I explained to him that I was trying to reserve a table for later on that night to see some live music. The gentleman explained that to reserve a table for two would cost us $20, which I needed to pay for right then (larger tables cost even more). Now I've made lots of reservations but I've never been charged before. So this kinda threw me off, but ok. $20 and we're good, plus we have guaranteed seats. So we pay, and he takes us outside to this pool area with seating all around it, a fully stocked bar and a nice stage area for the band. We'd be sitting at a table right up near the stage. We were excited and couldn't wait to come back. So later on that night we come back, ready to enjoy our evening out. I decided to valet, as the walk from the self-parking area was a little longer than I wanted my girlfriend to have to do in her heels. We paid $10 to valet. Now, the gentleman who took our reservation earlier told us there was no need to go back up the stairs to the inside, and that we could go right to our table later. So when we arrived we start walking straight to the pool area. Just then one of the staff members flags us down and tells us we needed to come up the stairs to pay the cover charge. Cover Charge?? "But we already paid $20 to reserve a table", I explained to her. "We still have to pay a cover charge too?" "Only one of you can get in free", she says. Then she proceeded to give us two different colored wrist-bands, then charge me another $10 to get into the pool area. So now we're out $40 and we haven't even actually gone in yet. So anyway, believe it or not my girlfriend and I were still feeling good. It's a good-looking place, and it was a beautiful night. The vibe was just what we wanted, and we were about to sit back and enjoy some live music. Let's get some drinks! I order a Jack and Coke. My girlfriend ask the server to recommend something sweet. She recommended some drink with an exotic name and several flavored liqueurs as ingredients. We could both picture this being one of those tall drinks that come in the glass that gets skinny in the middle and wide at the top and bottom. I thought mine would come in a shorter, wide glass. When the server arrived with our drinks we both looked at each other in shock. They were both in two very small plastic cups. I'm talking the kind of plastic cup you get when someone is "serving refreshments" after church or a meeting and they give you those little tuna triangles and that little tiny cup of punch. Not the red cups. That little clear plastic one. Yeah, that cup, full of ice. My drink was $8, hers was $9. and both were in the same cup. All told, after $40 in fees before we even reached our table, two drinks each totaling $34, plus food, I ended up spending over $90.So overall, while this is a great looking place with a nice vibe, we won't be going back. I'm not a cheap person by a long shot. But I don't like to feel like I'm being charged a premium price for a "cheap" experience. I'll be the first to admit that I don't go clubbing and haven't been to one in years. But I've reserved lots of tables in my life and I've never been charged anything to do so. You have a certain amount of time to get there and if you're not there within that time you lose your table, simple as that. Still, I wouldn't have minded that at all if the place hadn't charged us a premium for the table then charged us AGAIN to get in. And the drinks to me were unacceptable. To bring a drink out that small and charge premium prices just seemed like price gouging to me. Then the drinks were weak at that. So in a small plastic cup like that full of ice, we might be talking about an ounce or so of liqueur, if that. I've heard lots of good things about this place, so I'm thinking your experience may largely depend on when you go. And what you go for. Our adventure was a Saturday night, and we didn't go into the lounge area at all, as we were told that's where the "club" atmosphere is; 25 and older. In hindsight I could have passed on the valet and perhaps just took our chances with first-come-first-served seating. That would have saved me all of $30 though. I suppose if you come here for happy hour or karaoke you'd have an entirely different experience. So while we won't go back, I won't tell you not to. This place gets a lot of good reviews. You will be hard pressed to find another trendy or entertaining lounge/dance spot in Arlington. I hosted a surprise birthday party here for my girlfriend last weekend and she LOVED it. I visited the spot a few days before the party to check out the environment to see if it would be worth it and it was alot better than i anticipated. The decor and lighting is great for a nightspot and the layout is perfect, with over sized plush and comfortable VIP booths and two fully stocked bars i was more than impressed. The size of the lounge is a little on the smaller side but this can be a positive by making the experience more personal and less about trying to impress, this is only possible by the place never being over crowded...which brings me to my next point, There was never more than 25 people there at any given time. If you are looking for a huge crowd and people to mingle with or hit on this is not for you(this was a Friday night mind you, the crowd may change on a Saturday). The DJ was awesome, after midnight he really lets loose with the club hits! The only criticisms i have with Zuri is I would Appreciate if the waitresses were a little more attentive....I advised them that the party was a surprise for my girlfriend and one waitress almost ruined it before the guests came. Also if they had a uniform or t shirts it would be extremely helpful the two waitresses on staff looked like patrons and i didn't know who to ask to help us. All in all we had a blast, we were even bought a round of drinks by a mystery person....great spot for the location and I will definitely be returning...Cant wait for the outdoor pool and bar to open! read more

Well. The environment was nice. Poolside jazz. Zuri has nice atmosphere but the quality of service was poor. 2 waitress working the entire crowd. It took 20 mins to get the menu. And when it came everything to order was mostly fried. They say restaurant but I could see it. If it wasn't for the entertainment I would have left. Now that I got the menu it took 10 mins to place it. And if u had a question about the foods on the menu the waitress didn't know. And to make it worst my food took 30mins to get my order. Unbelievable. Needlessly to say my chicken fingers fried well but my fries I could have fried another batch as oily as they were. But to wait on an exchange well the kitchen might have been closed. After a very long day at the Cowboys/Redskins game on Thanksgiving, my family and I were very hungry. We returned to our hotel, where the front desk worker of the hotel told us that Zuri was serving great food. He told us that the buffet was almost done, so we would be able to order off of the regular menu soon. We showed up at Zuri to get different information. They host lady told us that we would be able to order food in about 20 minutes once servers clocked on. We were totally fine with that. We sat down at a table, ordered a beer from the bar, and waited to get served. An hour passed, and the whole time my family and I were trying to make eye contact with every server possible (which was two severs at the most). I finally raised my hand to stop a server, and I asked him if I could order some food. He said, "give me a few minutes." Twenty more minutes passed, and the server never acknowledged us again. Instead, he was taking his time cleaning the tables that were used for the earlier buffet. My family was disgusted with the server, and decided to leave our table and move to the bar. We asked the bartender "hey, are we allowed to order food up here?" He laughed at us and said, "We are out of all food besides wings." My family and I sat in that restaurant starving for a hour and half and were never allowed to order food. This being after the hotel worker promised us good food. Now we are going to sleep hungry because it is thanksgiving and nowhere else is open. Absolute worst service I have ever received. If you ever stay at the Blue Cyprus hotel, never, ever give Zuri your business. They do not deserve it, and honestly, they don't care about their customers. At least the game was a blast. read more

I've had good times here but only because I was with friends and had good company. This place doesn't set the vibe of a bar located inside of a hotel. It has a cheap less than classy feel to it. Drinks were a little pricey for such a location and depending on what bartender you went to determined the price of your drink that's sketchy to say the least. Also a cover charge to get into this place? They should be lucky someone wants to come here lol. We once came from another location roughly 15 or more of us we called and they told us they would discount the cover charge to $10 for each of us. I don't get the cover charge for us to come in and spend our money on drinks. The place was practically empty that night until we got there. An ok place to go but I have so many other options that don't charge a cover and can make drinks that remain the same price no matter who makes it. read more

I visited Zuri for the first time on 7/26/14. The line to get in starts on the service road. The valet was $15.00 which didn't get me in the "club" any faster (20min wait in line). The indoor area is small and cramped and if you don't have a table reserved you'll stand all night(same for outdoor/poolside). The drinks are expensive and watered down. The security staff is rude and bullying. If you leave the indoor area after capacity, you'll have to wait in line in the heat to re enter. Food was overpriced. In my opinion, this place sucks. So not worth the drive from Wylie. Needless to say, I will NEVER GO BACK. Why did I cheat on Stone Trail? Would give it 0 stars if I could. read more

Watch out for the freaking tall white security guard. We had a private party at the pool tonight and he started to pepper spray us while we were walking towards the freaking parking lot!!!! He started to threaten us with his freaking taser and even pepper sprayed my boyfriend for no reason.... We felt like herds of cow being forced to get into our cars and we weren't even allowed to say bye to our friends because every time he saw someone not in their car.... He would start buzzing his freaking taser gun. My boyfriend got pepper spray in his eyes and he couldn't even open his eyes because it hurt and burnt so much. I got sprayed in my hands so if any of us get any allergic reaction to it..... You, the owner of Zuri are going to hear from our lawyer. This is not right!!!! All we were doing was saying bye to our friends in the freaking parking lot!!!! And that security guard started pepper spraying us for no reason. So although the so called "zuri lounge" may be nice upstairs.... It will sure be hell when the party's over and you're pepper sprayed and threatened with taser the whole way to your car. Hopefully someone who can do something about this will read what happened and will actually do something about it read more

I went here to celebrate a birthday for my cousin. It was a nice atmosphere unril the crowd rolled in. We arrived around 9pm and was able to find seats. I checked in from yelp and I was told I could buy one drink and get the other one for free. When I told the bartender they stated they would have to check with the manager. The manager came and told me they do Not honor this and they were sorry about that. Of course I was not happy and the manager later comped both drinks for free. I am only giving a poor rating because this is Not a lounge, it is more like a club. The line to get in was wrapped down the block and it was really hard for people to find seats. Very disappointed. When I first went in I like the place but after waiting nearly 45 minutes for our food they did not honor our voucher (gift card). The food was nothing to write home about. Arrived on a Friday night at 6pm, expecting to have a good time. At the time we were one of two tables with people and the other table had one person who had a drink. We waited for a waitress who was standing at the bar speaking with people. Two other groups of two people each came in and sat down. After a couple minutes they were served drinks. We caught the eye of the bartender and a waitress, but still no service. After 15 minutes, we decided to take our business elsewhere. After we walked out the door a waitress and what looked like a bartender came outside. Nt sure if they were trying to get us come back or see what we were doing. Will not return here and will not recommend to any of our friends, who were anxious to hear what we thought. I went here to hear my dad play with his band very cool looking place has a nice feel to it, but the food is horrible it tasted old and not fresh I had chicken tenders and fries the chicken was ok but the fries were nasty after I ate I got really sick, it wasn't food poisoning, but my stomach didn't agree with the food when the bill came I told my waitress that I got a little sick from the food she said ok went and got the manager I told him the same story as I told the girl he said I was lien and there was no way I got sick off the food!!! and that I must have ate something earlier that made my stomach hurt (I guess he a doctor???)
