But after the last interaction yesterday, I will never consider buying anything here. Apparently it was too difficult to attempt to locate or order a 3-1/2" idler pulley for my 30 year old mower. I stopped in B/C I prefer face to face interaction and support of local businesses. The guy behind the counter, although he was nice, simply wouldn't even take 5 minutes to order a $30 pulley. The whole interaction was less than 45 seconds, barely looked at the part in my hand and told me to get it from Amazon and there was no way he could help, instead of pulling out the Oregon book he has behind the counter and flipping through some pages or trying to even see if they had anything close. Too bad, I was hoping to purchase a new machine this year from them with cash. Guess I'll find somewhere that isn't too lazy to help.

It was a simple fix, but had to load it back up, haul it back to Gresham. They promptly fixed the problem and we returned home. I called to see if I could be compensated some for our time, lost and not being able to get my garden in with the sunshine before it rained . I was told definitely not , think I'll take my business somewhere else next time.

The new owner is "Eric" - he seems decent enough, but is very down on his luck. I've had good service at this shop before, but over the past year, things have declined significantly. Dropped off a pole saw to have repaired last August. Never got a call for over six months. Business phone number 503-287-6610 is disconnected. Finally, I went there to inquire. Found out Eric was on the verge of forclosure. Orders stacked up; my pole saw was "lost and in storage". Eric promised to call soon, but he never does. Not the first time. The place is a mess: completely disorganized and in despair. Seems sketchy and junky now. I hate to see a good shop and business decay, but feel it is my duty to warn others: DON'T COME HERE EXPECTING YOUR REPAIR TO BE SERVICED RIGHT. You've been warned.

I read the glowing reviews for Darling, including one about a Toro just like ours that had been brought back from the dead. We called, dropped it off, got it back, and OMG, it looks and runs like a brand-new machine! (I wish I had a "before" photo, honestly, we had neglected it so badly it was ready for the scrap heap.) On top of that, Darling didn't charge an arm and a leg like most places do these days. This experience felt like stepping back into the 1950s, when people had what they called a work ethic. He's fair, honest, highly skilled, and personable. (and usually, only a 5-7 day turnaround). How does he do it?

During this time he was very kind to my daughter and me, clean, and kept me posted on the process of the project. After six plus years of living in our home, the outside exterior was beginning to show signs of…read moreage, as the dirt, grime and mold had begun to take hold and make its mark. So after the due diligence of procrastination that is required before any home improvement project, I finally decided it was time to pressure wash the house. If only it could be that easy to pressure wash myself in order to remove some of the 36 years of experience beginning to show on my own exterior. Made a quick call to Johnson Creek Rentals, determined that they did indeed have the correct equipment for the job, and then headed over to pick up the washer. The staff was extremely helpful and informative, showed me the correct way to use the equipment, helped me load it into the car and I was off. I was in and out in less then 10 minutes (kind of like my early years of being sexually active)! For the next four hours, I felt a sense of power as I blasted dirt and mold off the side of my home with eco friendly cleaners and pressurized H2O through my bad ass water gun. Amazingly, at the end of day, our home once again resembled the domicile we once knew when we fell for it some six years ago. Plus, I managed to not fall off the ladder, pressure wash the cats, or blast a hole through my epidermis. Johnson Creek Rentals comes highly recommended for all your small equipment rental needs.

when I picked up a log splitter the experience was good. the price was good. I picked it up right…read morebefore they closed for an early start in the morning. when looked over the splitter before leaving there is a pin that holds the splitter in place for travel. the keeper that keeps the pin in place could not be the original. on the way home the fastener that keeps the keeper in place came off causing the splitter to stand up while driving. I stopped I fixed. the Splitter worked ok. When I returned the splitter I let the guy behind the counter was very rude especially when I told him about the pin coming loose. He said they never had a problem before. I told him that there was no way it was the OEM locking system. He irritated that they never had a problem. on my way out I looked at another splitter that was the same and it had another jury rigged keeper but different. The hours of operation is another reason I will never use them again. I went there because the cost was cheaper than Home Depot. They close much earlier this means the cost is much more over all because operating hours. Home Depot 125.00. Johnson Creek rentals 175.00 advertised price less but it costs more and equipment is old and safety of equipment is not a concern judging by the person that checked me out. I was hoping to use a smaller more local company when I went to Johnson Creek rental.

I just cut the package and took it to the checkout myself. I got tired of waiting, I did pay for it. If they would just bust the people stealing from them instead of letting them walk out
