This place was definitely a rowdy crowd, so if you are looking for a more chilled experience, this isn't the place. The place was extremely loud and service was a bit all over the place. It was difficult to get anyone attention to get seated, with no set host and spit where you would even check-in. You just had to try to get the very busy waiters attention and then wait some more. Stood there for about ten minutes before anyone took our name. Service didn't get any better once seated. Desserts were a great size but the wine collection left a bit to be desired. There were no sweeter wines at all, all dry which surprised me. The tiramisu was very thick and heavy and the ice cream very creamy but not super rich or deep flavor. Overall probably won't return. But definitely seems the place for a large group of friends to get drinks. The phone only rule isn't really enforced if that's what's keeping you back btw.

I went to Zulu's recently for post-dinner drinks and dessert and had a lovely time. The space is a little small and quirky but overall is cozy and comfortable. They have a great wine list that gives enough options without being overwhelming. The food menu is limited to a few snacks and desserts. The mousse and the crème brûlée were both rich and delicious and great for sharing over a few drinks. This is a great local option for an evening drink or post dinner dessert.

Zuzu's is a fun and cozy place! great atmosphere for a date or to catch up with friends. we went as a group of four treating a friend from out of town who loves wine and sweets. our 10 pm friday night reservation was delayed a bit due to a lingering table having lots of fun (def not any fault of the staff!!), but upon being seated we started with the cheese board and a recommended bottle of wine from a kind server. as we were eating we tried to make eye contact or attention to order some desserts but somehow kept missing out (maybe it was just bad timing and to be fair it was near closing time, so we def felt a little like the staff was ready to go home -- especially apparent given they were blasting their records). All in all it was fun, the cheese and wine were tasty, but i wish i could review a dessert. The service was disappointing and it is definitely over priced. Given that, I would not stop you from trying this place, either going a bit earlier than we did or ordering all at once! it's a fun stop if you're nearby but don't be like us and miss the chance to order dessert!

I loved the concept of having a no-screen wine bar/dessert place. We stopped by on a Friday evening and it was empty, which was great. We've come other times and seen a long line. Our server was friendly and largely left us alone, and we had a lovely time catching up. I wasn't particularly wowed by the dessert items- we got the raspberry chip ice cream and the apple crumble. I would recommend the crumble over the ice cream as it had some interesting flavors but overall nothing that stood out.

What a great little meeting place. Good wine and no cell phones! What a novel idea, you just talk to each other. :)

There were very few redeeming aspects to the meal, and we left feeling both disrespected and unsatisfied as customers. The issues started right away. We ordered drinks--including a pear mocktail--but were brought the wrong ones, and then they attempted to charge us for those incorrect drinks. In hindsight, the cocktail mix-up should have been a warning of what was to come. The pear mocktail itself was also quite bad. The service felt chaotic throughout the night. We asked multiple times for additional servings of steak and fries, but were largely ignored. Meanwhile, nearby large tables were repeatedly served, cleared out entire trays, and still received more attention from staff. For an all-you-can-eat steak frites offering, we each received only one serving despite several requests. As for the food itself, it did not make up for the service. The steak was just okay--some pieces were chewy and overly fatty, though acceptable if refills had actually been provided. The fries, however, were terrible. Our first serving was so hard it was nearly inedible, and the only refill we received was just as bad. I also ordered the spinach risotto, which was slightly better than the steak, but it was so salty I couldn't finish it. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

The managers were also walking around checking up on everyone. I highly recommend checking out Batifol for brunch on the weekends. You will not leave hungry!

Super sweet person tho Our table was bummed about the dessert selection - bring back the classic tiramisu in a glass!! Sadly, the stuffed garlic bread was not warm enough for a nice cheesepull like the videos either. The tulip-shaped scallop ravioli was the star, with a moderately rich butter sauce. As for the lobster spaghetti, barely any lobster was detected. Chill pond-facing spot with open seating and turtle-speed service from kind servers with good drink recs. There were just 3 groups eating with us and it took half an hour for the food to be served. Medium portions weren't filling at all so we were hoping the dessert would offset that. I still think changing dessert menus once a year is better than every season especially considering that low foot traffic that night.

Food: We enjoyed everything we ordered, but the standouts were the fried mozzarella and the pastas. The fried mozzarella was perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey throughout. Then the rigatoni bolognese and the spicy lobster pasta were the ideal choices for the two of us. We especially loved the chew and texture of the fresh pasta. Service: This was the definition of seamless. The staff always had a purpose when they came by and it felt like we were being looked after. No moments of awkwardly wanting to ask for the dessert menu or the check. Atmosphere: We couldn't stop looking at all the amazing decor. Our window seats especially had great soft lighting. All the fixtures and elegant colors matched the high quality of the food.

As with any good restaurant, its menu is well curated. While there is a nice outdoor dining area, given the heat of the day, we dined inside. Without reservations, we were accommodated at the bar. Reservations are a must. Bar seating is fine, there is ample space, not at all crowded. The bartender doubled as our waiter. He was very knowledge about the menu and personable. As an appetizer, my son and I split the chicken cutlet - which for some could be a meal. Delicious as always. As an entree, I ordered my favorite, the pizza margherita. My son ordered the same topped with sausage and prosciutto. There is no skimping on toppings here! The pizzas at "Si Cara", are a treat, very highly recommended. Made like in Naples, savory-sweet marinara, fresh mozzarella, topped with basil, delivered hot and ready to eat! Price to portion is excellent. Parking, it's the city, there is none. This location has no service - its counter-ordering and the food was not the same. The pizza had barely any ricotta though we paid up for it, and the toppings were so scarce that it was mostly crust (more than usual Neapolitan). The garlic bread was the same price but half the size. It was cafe style seating, not restaurant, and just a weak version of the South End location that I do not recommend.
