    Classic Breakfast

Walked into Puritan & Company on a Sunday about 30 minutes after opening--no reservation, and surprisingly, the dining room looked pretty quiet. Still, we were told bar seating was the only option. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was dining with my service dog, so squeezing in at the bar wasn't the most comfortable setup-- but we made it work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That said, once settled in, the experience really turned around. The lady working at the bar counter was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome despite the initial hiccup. I wanted an espresso, but they actually didn't have any available. She suggested i had a cold brew with a splash of milk, i ask for almond milk, and honestly-- that ended up being a great call. Smooth, refreshing and just what I needed. I ordered the chorizo and beet hash dish, and it was honestly amazing-- such creative combination of flavors. It felt thoughtful, well-balance. I really loved it. My husband kept it classic with the two eggs with bacon and sourdough toast. Simple, comforting and exactly what he wanted. Now, I was specially excited to try the butter biscuits. They looked incredible in photos and came out just as beautiful, served with butter and jelly. Texture-wise they were good -- but flavor-wise I have to say they were a bit on the bland side. Not bad at all but just missing that extra depth or richness that would make them standout. They really needed that butter and jelly to enhance flavors. Overall, brunch here delivers--especially if you go for the more creative dishes.

The service was great, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the interior was comfortable[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but the food was your average breakfast spot. The tomato bread was delicious - a consistently good place for brunch if that's what you're in the market for!

This spot totally lives up to the hype. We started with amazing mocktails and Parker House rolls that were truly to die for. Then had the bisque with crab and some shrimp for apps, both absolutely delicious. For mains, we got the fish with pearl couscous and the lobster risotto, and both were fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. Dessert was my favorite part. The homemade sorbet was unreal and I will be dreaming about it till summer. The tres leches cake was also amazing and the perfect way to end the meal. The staff was incredible, special shout out to Joe. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was fun and lively and the place was popping, so definitely make a reservation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also love their oyster bar next door and the girl dinner vibes with oysters, martinis, and fries for $25. Highly recommend and cannot wait to go back.

To be so for real... yuck all around. Starting with the service: the 2 of us felt ignored and rushed from the get-go. We spent a decent chunk of money here and did not feel appreciated. Next up is the food: the appetizer was really good in flavor and texture (this is what keeps this place a 2-star v. 1-star). I ordered a salmon with vegetables and was presented with an undercooked fish with black vegetables that were too salty and hard to eat. I ate the fish and that was it (I did get a stomach ache afterwards). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was nice in terms of music and lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables were really close together and we felt like we were part of our neighbors party/conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will not be returning.

I came here with a friend to catch up and [[HIGHLIGHT]]this place was stunning inside aesthetically! Super cute and cozy vibes inside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and [[HIGHLIGHT]]there were definitely a lot of people on dates or just catching up with friends as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was amazing and very attentive and reservations are highly recommended as it gets busy quick. The food we got here was very good and we were really excited to try all of the items we ordered. The bolognese was great along with the large amount of seafood we ordered. The drinks were pretty refreshing too. I would definitely come back again to try more on the menu.

One of the best restaurants that I have been to in the Boston/ Cambridge area. I enjoyed the rose, sweet vegetable fritters, scallops two cocktails a sorbet. I had a great birthday dinner here! The service was outstanding. Very attentive to my dietary needs. We will return before my friend leaves for Scotland.

We found this place the other night, after driving around, finally finding parking, and the restaurant we intended to go to, having a 45-60 minute wait at 7pm on a Monday (crazy). This restaurant was closer to where we parked, and when we walked in, we were greeted right away, and when we told them we did not have a reservation, we were told it was no problem, were seated right away, and provided menus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is very cozy and warm inside, with lots of seating/space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was great - we started with glasses of wine, and the house made Parker rolls (yum). For main dishes, my friend had the risotto, and I had the orecchiette bolognese. Both of our meals were delicious, flavorful, and exactly what you may be looking for on a cold winter evening. Perfect comfort food!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came for brunch, and there was plenty of room for us to be seated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The brunch menu isn't as extensive as the dinner menu, but still covered a lot of ground. I ended up getting the brisket hash which I recommend. I really liked the cream sauce and how crispy the potatoes were. Everything here is on the pricier side and the portions were not huge. Our service was a little slow at times because a lot of people showed up at once, but overall was a nice experience.

What a wonderful meal! We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing, and everything was great. We had a shellfish allergy, so the chef had to make a few adaptations, but they did such a good job that we didn't miss it at all. Our absolute favorite though was the dessert--miso and coffee!!! Patrick was a phenomenal server too! The only thing we didn't love was the bitterness of the char on the pork, and it would have been nice to learn a little more about the wines as we went. But truly an excellent dinner, and we're excited to come back!

What an amazing restaurant! Stopped by last minute on a Friday night and we were lucky to get seats immediately. This is the full restaurant with the larger menu compared to the oyster bar that's next door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's bar and table seatings. It's pretty chill and laid back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was friendly, professional and quick. The food is some of the best food I've ever had. Everything was a 10/10. Every dish tasted so fresh and so full of flavor. Honestly I would have ordered one of everything on the menu if I could. The oysters were incredible and came with three different sauces that paired well with the oysters. The bone marrow was rich and a pretty decent portion. This is one of those places where you will have zero leftovers because the food is so good. This place is a must when you come to Boston. I can't wait to come back!

Joe was awesome! Thank you for giving us a great birthday dinner! The mushroom vol-au-vent was sooooo delicious! Carrots are a sleeper and fantastic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Puritan and Co is upscale rusty and neighborhood vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Try it out!

So good! Came here on a Sunday night. Thought we would do the oyster side, but went to the other side and got two seats at the bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Oyster side was very crowded, the other side wasn't...yet...[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our bartender Nate was excellent!! We got some oysters (chef's choice), Parkman house bread and the Cod. OMG all were so good. We each had a glass of wine after Nate allowed us to sample different wines. Everything we excellent. Out second time here, looking forward to a return visit

After hearing about them being a 'dark horse'. For a Michelin star, I decided to have my birthday dinner here. We choose the chefs selection with the wine pairing - four courses, plus dessert. The courses were absolutely excellent, and the waiter was friendly and knowledgeable - he definitely added to the experience(and my kid immediately noticed his star wars tattoo, but that's besides the point). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Creative dishes, excellent drinks, and a great atmosphere - we highly recommend![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

There were very few redeeming aspects to the meal, and we left feeling both disrespected and unsatisfied as customers. The issues started right away. We ordered drinks--including a pear mocktail--but were brought the wrong ones, and then they attempted to charge us for those incorrect drinks. In hindsight, the cocktail mix-up should have been a warning of what was to come. The pear mocktail itself was also quite bad. The service felt chaotic throughout the night. We asked multiple times for additional servings of steak and fries, but were largely ignored. Meanwhile, nearby large tables were repeatedly served, cleared out entire trays, and still received more attention from staff. For an all-you-can-eat steak frites offering, we each received only one serving despite several requests. As for the food itself, it did not make up for the service. The steak was just okay--some pieces were chewy and overly fatty, though acceptable if refills had actually been provided. The fries, however, were terrible. Our first serving was so hard it was nearly inedible, and the only refill we received was just as bad. I also ordered the spinach risotto, which was slightly better than the steak, but it was so salty I couldn't finish it. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

We walked into a warm, energetic space with dim lighting, an open dining room, and a constant buzz that makes it a great choice for a night out with friends or a date. The restaurant has a vibrant, social energy that encourages sharing and exploration, and the open layout adds to the sense of activity without feeling chaotic. Rather than ordering individual entrées, the experience is centered around sharing a variety of dishes, making each visit feel a little different depending on what you choose. The tapas are the highlight of the menu, with plenty of options that encourage trying a little bit of everything. The bacon-wrapped dates are one of the signature dishes, balancing sweet and savory flavors, while the patatas bravas, croquettes, and charcuterie boards are reliable choices to start the meal. If you are looking for something more substantial, the seafood paella and squid ink pasta stand out as excellent main dishes, offering rich flavors and generous portions that are easy to split between two or more people. The olive oil cake is also worth saving room for if you want to end the meal with dessert, and the overall progression of the meal works well with the tapas format. The drink menu is just as impressive as the food. Wine is the main focus, with an extensive list featuring Spanish and international selections, but the sangria and cocktails are equally popular. It is the kind of place where you can easily spend a couple of hours sharing plates while working your way through a few different drinks, and the beverage program is thoughtfully curated to match the style of the food. Service is one of the restaurant's strongest points. The staff are knowledgeable about both the menu and wine list, and dishes arrive steadily throughout the meal instead of all at once, creating a relaxed dining pace. The pacing allowed us to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed, and the team checked in at the right moments without hovering. The restaurant is consistently busy, especially on weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. Even with a reservation, there can occasionally be a short wait, and the lively atmosphere means the dining room can get quite loud during peak hours. The energy of the room is part of what makes the experience work, but it is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quieter dinner. Barcelona Wine Bar is one of the best places in Boston for Spanish-inspired tapas and wine. The combination of flavorful shareable dishes, a well-curated drink menu, attentive service, and vibrant atmosphere makes it an easy choice for group dinners, celebrations, or date nights. It offers a meal that feels both communal and polished, with a setting that encourages slowing down and enjoying the evening. Just be prepared for the energetic environment and plan ahead if you are visiting during the busiest times.

As for the lobster spaghetti, barely any lobster was detected. Chill pond-facing spot with open seating and turtle-speed service from kind servers with good drink recs. There were just 3 groups eating with us and it took half an hour for the food to be served. Medium portions weren't filling at all so we were hoping the dessert would offset that.
