The first contact I had with One Stop Towing was 40 years ago. I just moved to Holland down the road from 1 Stop Towing. I had no money and was driving an old station wagon. One of the bearings on the rear axle was gone. I went to buy a new bearing as I had no money to just bring it to a place to fix it. I attempted to fix it myself but had no bearing-puller and I was unable to remove the bearing my self. With a bicycle I pedaled to One Stop Towing, the nearest place where they serviced and worked on cars. I guess Dave Bell, the owner, felt sorry for me and pulled the bearing. When I asked for the price for his help, he answered, "good luck, you do not owe me anything." Over the years, even so I did service my cars myself if possible, on occasion I needed One Stop's service. I can not remember ever having any issues or was in any way disappointed. I consider Dave Bell a man with integrity and a big hart; the only flaw he may has is the inability to say no to anybody in need. Years ago, during a snow storm, I found myself in a ditch with my car; Dave was there to help me, not to make any money, he was there to help! I called him today as I need a rental truck to move stuff next week. He was very patient and explained me how the truck rental business has change over the years and how I most likely will find the rental truck I need. I'm in the retail business and found out that there is about 1% of the population you will never be able to satisfy, no matter what you do. Unfortunately, this 1% are the ones who leave probably 50% of all the reviews, and naturally they are without exception scathing. If you do some research to find out who these people are, you will find out that they never did anything meaningful their entire life and do not amount to much. read more

My Plow truck died on the side of Route 20 after yesterday's storm. My FORD warranty covers roadside assistance. Thankfully they sent out Mike from 1 Stop Towing. our van, packed with my wife and I, and our 3 kids, 5 hours into an 8 hour trip from PA to NH, decided to have its CV joint explode on the Massachusetts Turnpike. Fortunately we had just pulled into a rest area. It was 6 PM on a sunday. We had no idea what to do or who to call - but before we could panic, Kevin and his tow truck pulled in to the rest area to pick up someone else. He was not only kind enough to hitch us up as a 2nd vehicle in the tow, at the same time, he also found us a hotel down the road from their garage, at a discount rate. He also dropped us off there too. The next day, Brad was able to locate a part, and before too long our van was fixed! Then they handed us the bill For the tow (on a sunday, from the turnpike), for the part, and for the labour... the total was less than the Dodge dealership would have charged us, just for the part! It was almost less than the Dodge Dealership charged us for 2 replacement bulbs! The same dealership who had just inspected and serviced the vehicle before we began our road trip. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. read more

I bought a car two weeks ago from here. I was promised he vehicle was looked over and safe for my children. I brought it in a week after buying for brakes, alignment and the vehicle was resisting. They claimed to have fixed it. Not even a week later, my vehicle exploded and locked up WHILE DRIVING, stopping in traffic. If I had been on the highway or anywhere else, I would've been rear ended and it would've been a bigger issue. I had the vehicle towed here and kindly explained since it's only been two weeks and they've continued to have me driving an unsafe vehicle , that I'd like my money back. I was returned with nasty attitudes , and they ignored my request. Then proceeding to ignore my calls and texts for the next two days. I finally went to pick up the vehicle to bring to a proper mechanic and the vehicle STILL WAS NOT FIXED. Now the steering is all over the place and they expect this to be a "safe" car for children. My mechanic has since looked over the car and has found MANY safety issues, now resulting in a small claims issue in the court because they can't do the right thing by me and my children , and the safety of everybody else in the road . Absolutely appalled by this. read more
