This place never disappoints when I'm craving Hawaiian meat and Mac salad. I call in the orders when I'm in a rush and within 10 minutes I get a TEXT that it's ready, that is very convenient and user friendly. Inside is very vibrant and quiet when I go.

The food was fine. Each Hawaiian bbq place seems to do their specialties a bit differently, and that's what probably makes them unique. I ordered the katsu chicken and bbq beef combo. Compared to other places I definitely liked this beef, it has a good thickness to it. Katsu chicken was fine. No complaints. Macaroni salad was fine too. Even though they have a few tables and chairs indoors, the place isn't really conducive to indoor dining if you're wanting a full sit down dining experience (my 2 cents). It appears most will order takeout. But there is some outdoor seating that works well on a nice evening like this particular visit. The one downside is that while placing my order on their ordering kiosk, it asked me for a tip before checkout. Um....this was before a single worker had even spoken to me. So I didn't know what the tip was for.....use of the kiosk maybe? Even after that I was handed the food without the employee saying anything to me. So, that whole tip thing didn't make sense to me.

I really wanted to like this place. I don't like taking off stars. So why only 3 stars? It wasn't the location or condition of the property itself. The ambiance is nice. The location is easy to find within Crossroads Shopping Center next to Wally World (aka Walmart). The place was clean. The kiosk to order your food is a plus. The prices were reasonable. The selection of smoothies, boba teas, and appetizers were decent. I take off two stars for two things. I ordered the combo plate with BBQ chicken and Short Ribs. Both meats were very salty for me. I know other love really salty flavors. Not me. They offered soy sauce packets on the side too and there was no way I using those! I think both meats had been drowned in them. If they were not so salty, I think it would be so much better and then people can add soy sauce if they live in Salty, USA. The other star was the kimchi. Was that kimchi? It looked like kimchi but it lacked the spice and fermentation of kimchi. It looks like they work hard here. The food came out in decent time. The server was friendly. Lots of good things here. With some modifications, this place would step out of the slow lane and into the fast one. It is called 101 for a reason. I wish them well.

First time here. Walked in greeted by a sweet lady. I got katsu chicken and crispy shrimp plate with rice and Mac salad. They wasted no time in getting my meal to me. The food was hot and there was a lot. The Katsu was crispy and not greasy. The Shrimp was a little over battered for me but was still good. Now the Mac salad they got it down excellent taste. The inside was cute. They had fresh water you can drink while waiting which I took advantage of. I'll be back.

Solid lunch spot when you are in the mood for crispy/ fried food. We sampled the chicken katsu and garlic chicken combos. The garlic chicken reminded me of "popcorn chicken" and had a nice sweet glaze. Portions are huge and can probably be shared if you aren't overly hungry. The combos come with 2 scoops of rice and a choice or salad/Mac salad or kimchi. I also scored a complimentary Thai tea with my first online purchase. It was a nice touch. I don't think I'd go out of my way to return for boba drinks but I'll definitely be back again for lunch.

Nice location with free outdoor parking, they have order machine on site. I came here during lunch time, the lady here greeted me nicely and get my food ready pretty fast. The garlic chicken is crunchy and tasty. The macaroni salad is lacking a bit flavor. $13 something for a meal. Good experience overall.

Cute interior!! A cool kiosk to order food which is an accessible option for many. On the kiosk however I wish there was an option for rice + kimchi + extra veggies. Not necessarily quick but its very delicious sit down restaurant quality food so it makes sense. Great variety. Great amount of food for the price as well.

Small Taiwanese restaurant. Doris and her husband run the shop. Both are very sweet and welcoming. We've tried several dishes and I'll just recommend the food we liked. The Garlic chicken is by far the best dish they have. Lots of flavor, texture is good and great portions. The "torpedo" shrimp is also delicious. Try it out

These were probably some of the best Kalbi Short Ribs i've had! The meat was tender and not hard at all and flavor of the meat was delicious. I got a Passion Fruit Iced tea with lychee jelly and the sweetness of the iced tea went well with the kalbs short rib plate. The workers were nice but it did take quite a while for the food to come out, maybe about 30 minutes. The inside of the restaurant is decorated so cute and they even have a little spot in their counter where they sell cute keychains and pins.

I tried this place on Oct. 12th and had a good experience. The cashier was super friendly and easy to converse with. I like that the prices are very fair. The red bean sesame balls were delicious! I wouldn't mind going just for that. The chicken katsu was good! The fried spring rolls were not my favorite and I would not get again. The inside was just mush. The whole inside is super clean and neat. Even the restroom was spotless clean.

We are in town for the holiday weekend and we're running errands in Santa Maria. I told the husband since it is National Burger Day, we should get "real" burgers for dinner. This place was in the top 5 Yelp recommendations. When husband saw the Korean food on the menu, he became disinterested but I was more intrigued, so I insisted. We both ordered a cult classic burger. It did not disappoint. It was yummy and messy and absolutely fabulous and tasty. Husband says he is coming back to try the ham-cho-chee (ham, chorizo, cheese) sandwich and I want to come back and see if the Korean BBQ beef and Kalbi short ribs are as good as my mom makes. Servers were polite. The place was easy to find, but I sure hate those darn roundabouts. read more

New restaurant in the Crossroads shopping area. They offer a range of food but we decided to try the Cult Classic burger. The burger came with cheese, lettuce, pickles, onion, and tomato on a brioche bun. This was just their soft opening but they did a fantastic job. Burger was thick and juicy and came with a side of amazing julienne fries. Priced at $8.95 it was definitely reasonable. Will definitely be returning. They were also following all COVID guidelines with no indoor seating. However there were plenty of outdoor tables to eat at. read more

The place is always busy because it's next to Blenders. I ordered the grilled teriyaki chicken, but what I got did not appear to be grilled, and not much flavor. It was more like a sauteed teriyaki chicken, but no flavor at all. read more

I just moved from Sacramento area and have been looking for a good authentic Asian boba place. Some other places in the area here have very mushy boba pearls, but the boba here was great! I also love places that let you control the sweetness of the drink like this one does. They also offer a lot of food options and I could tell that they were all made fresh. I could LITERALLY hear it being cooked. Everything was delicious and these are probably my favorite sesame balls in the area because they're freshly cooked. The only thing I wasn't too much of a fan of was their kimchi but I'm just picky about kimchi. The lady who helped us was also super nice! She gave us a boba drink sticker that was really cute and always checked in on us if we needed help. They do have a kiosk to put your order in and it has pictures of each item to help you decide what to choose. I'll definitely be coming back and apparently you get a free boba drink when you order a combo meal online! read more

This place is a gem in the town of Santa Maria. Best Hawaiian bbq restaurant in this town. Freshly made meats and delicious kimchi and steamed vegetables. Quickly became my go to spot. I like to get their mini meals- the Hawaiian bbq plate. It's a fat plate and great price. I say give it a try and you won't regret it! read more

Have been twice since the review in the Sun. Had the garlic fried chicken on one occasion and the kalbi short ribs today. Enjoyed both meals. Kimchi on the side was good. Had the macaroni salad the other time. Not quite up to Hawaiian BBQ standard, but decent. Also appreciate that it's only 1 scoop of rice. Lots of other places load you up on rice. Friendly and fast service. Want to try Korean BBQ and also the burger on subsequent trips. Hope business picks up for them. I will be back again. read more

Tried this place out this week.... hoping for great food. Excited about something new in Santa Maria. Tried the teriyaki chicken it was very dull no flavor and the rice had no taste and it was super dry. I understand this place is new and just had its soft opening... but come on. Also we got the mozzarella sticks they were not even fully cooked.. and we got Fountain drinks and they too were flat and blah. idk if I'll come back. But I'm really sad. I don't see this place lasting just like the others in this location. Hope this helps them step up their game! read more

I have no idea why this place has anything less than a 5 star rating. Food is authentic, I highly recommend the honey golden shrimp. The boba is also really good, my favorite is the taro slush. It's a little pricey but you get a large portion of food so it's worth it to me. read more

Stopped by during a road trip. What really stood out here was the customer service of the owner. She was so genuine and helpful, it was a huge shock compared to how you're treated at other businesses. She showed us how to use the self-service kiosk, she offered and brought us ice water, and came out to check on us to ensure the food was to our liking. Food was great too and came as a huge portion which you could split it two. Also, the boba tasted great too and she did a custom order on that. The only downside is that she seemed to be the only one working so as more people trickled in I noticed she wasn't as available to help them. read more

I don't know why this place would have bad reviews. We almost skipped over them on door dash. I'm glad we decided to try it. Garlic chicken was so yummy. Loved Thats they had a potato salad or kimchi option. My husband loved his ham cho sandwich. They even called me when they didn't have the drink we wanted. Came here a bit after closing hours and we were absolutely welcomed. The staff is amazing and so kind! We decided to try this place out, and we were surprised at how good it was, and the place was so clean! The food was fresh and had loads of flavor. The food was so delicious! So much flavor! We got the cult burger, mozzarella sticks, garlic fried chicken, macaroni salad and potato salad. We sampled a little bit o everything lol. Every single item was good...even the marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks? We used doordash and even with delivery the mozzarella sticks still weren't rubbery. Very impressed! The first time I walked into here I loved the place. It's a cool hidden place with great food. I loved it so much I got a job here because I wanted to learn the recipes. The Head Chef Michael is amazing to watch and we are all learning his method of cooking. I've been to many burger places in my life burt I've never seen someone Flame broil, grill then steam a burger. I guess this is what makes it "The Cult." The most popular dishes are Korean BBQ beef and Grilled Teriyaki chicken. They are great themselves but you should do yourself a favor and try one of the less ordered items like the HAM-CHO- CHEE or Crispy Torpedo shrimp. I've seen some bad reviews on here. It must be something personal. Since I've worked there I've never heard a complaint from a customer. All of the workers there are either top notch cooks or great at customer service. I should know I don't just work here. I'm also a loyal customer. read more

I ordered a burger with regular fries and got curly. Burger was pretty good, but the fries were not good. Also got the kalbi short ribs with macaroni salad. The meat and salad were super salty. Couldn't even taste the sweetness of the kalbi marinade or the relish in the Mac salad. The ride was way too hard too. read more

Well isn't this a little gem of a place. I ordered gyoza, fried tempura shrimp, garlic bread and crinkle fries. All was amazing! It may seem like easy stuff to not mess up but it can be. Staff is friendly and prices are great! They have a good selection of food. Will definitely be back! read more

I felt a little guilty coming in at 6:30 when they close at 7pm but there was still another party that came at 6:45. I appreciate that they didn't mention anything about closing soon or that they didn't have enough time to prepare the foods. Restaurant is good size with about 10 tables that seat 4-6 people. Food was ready in 20 mins. The skewers had such a tempting sweet charred aroma on the grilled pork and chicken. Both were juicy and not dry but 8 skewers for $39 is a little steep

I mean I didn't even kick it off with my traditional "howdy folks." But seriously, this is the best ice cream that I've ever had in my whole life and I'm going to tell you all why. So strap on your safety belts and let's drive right into it. I recently tried Nite Creamery's ice cream for the first time the other night. But this isn't the first time I've ever been here. I visited this location a few months back when myself, and fellow activist Matthew The King, came here to conduct a First Amendment Audit. But ever since then I've been curious about this place. There was something about Nite Creamery that set it apart from the other businesses in the area. Could it be that mysterious fog like substance that creeps over the counter? Well, there's a reason for that and I will explain that in a bit. But regardless of the reason, I just had to return and try their ice cream. Boy oh boy am I glad I did. So I ended up coming to Nite Creamery on a Wednesday evening and I am glad that I chose a week night for my first visit because this place can get pretty packed on the weekend. But I was able to walk right up to the counter where I was greeted by two friendly employees, a dark haired girl and a chubby Filipino guy. Both of them had smiles on their faces and seemed happy to be. For all I know maybe they hate their job. But if they do, they're doing a pretty good job hiding it. Now the next step was to place an order. I bet you didn't see that coming. But their ordering system is a little bit different than most places. One of the employees explained to me that how it works is you place your order on a touch screen pad and then pay with whatever payment method you're using. This was kind of nice as I felt less pressured without having someone standing over me while I try to decide what I want. But I still kind of miss the good ol' days of a real human being taking your order. But hey. This is 2026, not 1996. Anyways, I ended up going with this ice cream called the Salted Carmel Crumb. One of the things that first caught my attention was the fact that they place a pretzel on top of the scoop of ice cream. Yes I'm serious. A pretzel on ice cream. I bet you never heard of that before. Well, that is unless you have been to Nite Creamery before. Enough about how the ice cream looks. Let's talk about how it tasted. This ice cream is PHONOMENAL! It truly is better than s**. They don't make ice cream in the traditional way like they do at most ice cream parlors. At Nite Creamery they mix the ingredients and then freeze it right on the spot. That's where the mysterious fog comes from. But yeah that's what they do at Nite Creamery and I'm glad they do it that way. The reason being is you get a richer creamier ice cream that is full of flavor and tastes oh soooooooo good. I liked it so much that when I was finished, I walked back in and ordered another one. Only this time I went with the All Niter. That was phenomenal as well. If you've made it through this entire review I will assume that you get it that I love Nite Creamery. I really do love this place and I hope they'll continue to remain in the community for year's to come. So with that being said, I think I will go ahead and sign off for now. If you live on the Central Coast and want to try some ice cream that is better than s**, I highly encourage you to head over to Nite Creamery. You won't be disappointed. If you are, well, there's a Baskin Robbins in this town. Rock and roll doggies! Alrrrrrrrriiiiiiiight! NASTY NATHANIAL
