About qurter inch thick and narrow cut. When I asked the Waitress, I was told that is the size for lunch. Only hibachi in town and the kids wanted a"benihana" show so why not? Well more like why?? Called ahead to make sure hibachi tables were open - and got there an hour after opening. Arrived and there was 1 other table of customers - waited 10 min before even being acknowledged at the podium then 3 of us got seated and ordered. Found out there they no longer have LUNCH combos and we were being charged dinner rates and it's soup OR salad - What's with that? Then after we ordered roughly 5 min later another couple wanted hibachi, so we shared a grill... The waitress took their orders and then we waited. Hibachi chef was nice, and did the whole onion volcano, pee boy, and rice heart, egg roll deal! Lots of ! Food was seasoned with salt/pepper/butter topped off with some soy sauce. We all got the miso soup vs the salad - it was lukewarm, and not tasty. For the entrees we ordered: steak & shrimp, steak & chicken, and scallops & shrimp ( 5 scallops and 6 shrimp). We were also given dipping sauces upon asking one is a cream sauce and the other a ginger - I mixed them both to give the food flavor, because if not it was pretty bland and just tasted like soy sauce or charred. The others sharing the hibachi table also didn't get their beverages until the meal was fully cooked and the hibachi chef alerted the waitress. Everytime I've come here it's been incredible. I often order to go from here and get the same two items regularly. They know me by name and immediately expedite the order process for me upon realizing it's me. Every employee here is polite, conversational and kind. I absolutely love going here. My whole family often selects this as their birthday meal destination and none of us ever complain. The space is clean, a great atmosphere, and a guaranteed great meal without fail. The waiters are friendly, but we had to ask for everything separately: plates, napkins, sauces. The waitress could not suggest anything or give any recommendations; only when we complained about the quality of the dishes, the manager came up and tried to argue the point about how the dish is meant to be. I was treated to lunch yesterday and ordered one of the rolls only to find they cut the rolls about a half inch thick maybe even thinner very hard to grab with chopsticks it falls apart. If you grab it on the side, it falls apart when you grab it from top to bottom, it falls apart as well. Definitely not what the picture showed in the menu. They should be at least 1 inch thick or greater , very skimpy. I will never go there again. They brought the food for my friend out first and only brought my food out when she was just about done with hers. I have to say that they bring the food out to you and the whole plate is filled because of the ingenious way. It is spaced. What a poor display. read more

This tastes like white rice you make last minute when you want a snack. The Nigiri ... don't get me started. Pieces were cut to big and the rice was balls of rice under the pieces. If the pricing wasn't so high or they had half off specials then maybe it would make sense but they continue to charge premium prices for subpar food. Water refill after we had finished and were ready to go. Brought our check without asking if we were going to order anything else and outside of the initial interactions, didn't see him. I definitely think there's an issue with staffing as i saw one server and the manager or owner arguing at times. None of the staff seemed happy to be there. Food Ordered the special combo with the mountain roll. The Nigiri was actual pretty good. The rice amount was inconsistent and slightly under cooked but the fish was good quality. The mountain roll used to be my favorite here but it's just not anything special anymore. Way too much wasabi that overpowers anything else. Side note, the salad i got came with some leafs that were spoiling. I'm pretty sure it's bagged salad as well. Miso soup was good. I wanted to come back and say that it's better or back to where it used to be but it's just not. Again, the main issue is the price for the quality of service and food. Usually really good food but I think it was better before. They have lots of help and people who are ready to serve, but I tend to think that their service is at a minimum at times. I think the chefs behind the counter are talented, just not very friendly. They don't really smile (maybe it's a cultural thing) and if you ask for something special like extra sauce or a substitute, it feels like I am bothering them. The bathroom is clean and smells good but it shows its age and needs some TLC.
