I agree with the other reviews claiming the staff were territorial/rude about what machines to use. All of the machines in the back had mold spores in the place where you're supposed to put the soap, so I attempted to use one of the many empty ones in the front. I was quickly stopped and told only to use the ones in the back (which had mold in all 5 that i checked). I asked if there were any that didn't have mold back there, and he was dismissive and laughed and said they were all the same. I just left, I already used one of the questionable machines in the back and didn't want to contribute more money to this type of organization. read more

What could improve here is just about everything, the staff here is territorial about what machines you are using and they are really rude about it, they will argue with you for no reason, get mad if you open the dryers in the summer because of the air conditioning escaping, for God sake, it's a laundromat not a freezer door in a supermarket. The machines are old and broken down and will damage your clothes, lots of tourists and kids from the school down the block come in here so I guess they really don't care. I would skip this place if you can. It is way over priced and they will charge your credit card weird amounts which are impossible to dispute with your credit card carrier because its not itemized, so basically you are charged a total sum of your usage but you cant track the amounts for each machine used, just a total at the end. I have paid over $100 for 5 machines and 3 dryers, then the next time it was $60, then $80, just all over the place for the same amount of machines and dry time. I can't recommend this laundromat, I have lived in this neighborhood for over 30 years and it has become impossible to do your own laundry, I would just have them do it by the pound but I never see them putting any detergent into any of the machines, so they basically rinse and dry all the dirt into your clothing with no detergent, the last straw was when I saw a bed bug running around the machine and I never came back in here, I suggest you do the same. A good, clean laundromat on the UWS. They have a per pound drop-off service, but I just went ahead and did my own laundry. 4.25 per load in the washer, and about $4 for 48 minutes in the dryer. I had to use 3 washers and 1 dryer to get all my laundry done; the washers are kind of small but the dryers are HUGE and 1 dryer can fit loads from 3 washers. I went on a Saturday at 11 and it was busy, but I still managed to find 3 washers. Was out of there within 90 minutes. Right next door is Solid State Coffee which is pretty good. read more

coming here on a saturday morning and doing my laundry while silently watching the premier league on the big tv that they have up front is my version of meditating. the dudes working here are always wearing soccer jerseys for different teams so not sure who they support lol but RECENTLY i noticed one of them rocking a trent alexander arnold jersey on a KINDA regular basis. i wanted to shake his hand but he was working. maybe i couldve anyway? also i think the machines are lucky bc i've never lost a single sock in all my years of doing my laundry here and the dryers dont destroy my jerseys. 10/10 spot if you are a fan of liverpool fc and clean clothes read more

our washer broke and flooded my kitchen today, and I had to wipe the floor with all the unwashed laundry. The soaking wet laundry (the entire Friday wash) was so heavy, but they washed and dried it all (so soft to the touch) and they had everything beautifully laundered and folded as scheduled. We'll be using them weekly instead of buying a new washer. Very professional and polite and the place is clean. BRAVO! read more

I use this laundromat frequently as it is located near my apartment. I have used their self-service washer / dryer as well as their drop-off / pick-up service. So far, I have had no problems. For the self service, the washer costs $3 and the dryer costs $0.35 per 5 minutes. I don't necessarily think it's cheap, but it's okay. You need to initially purchase a machine card to put your money. They charge you $5 for the card but I believe you can get it back when you return the card. They do sell detergent and other materials but everything is a dollar so it can add up at the end. I would recommend bringing your own laundry detergent. The machines themselves are easy to use. Instructions are written all over so just follow and you'll have clean clothes. The folding tables have always been clean. The place has a good number of washers and dryers but it can get mobbed on Friday afternoon and on the weekends. You don't want to be fighting over washers and waiting long time for available dryers. The drop-off / pick-up service is smooth and simple. They charge $1 for each pound. There is a minimum of 10lbs. You just bring your laundry bag, set it on the scale, and they'll give you a ticket with a pick up time. They'll neatly fold your clothes back into the bag. Their hours are 8am to 8:30 Mon-Sat and 8am to 4pm on Sunday. read more

I have been frequenting this laundromat for over 2 years since I moved to the neighborhood, and I have never had a problem with anything being damaged, until today. My sweater came out of the washing machine with holes in it. I looked inside the machine for the reason why, and the machine is damaged inside, with raised edges to the holes of the basket. I called over one of the guys working today to point this out, and he blamed the damage on the fabric of my garment, and refused to make this right. He also continued to argue with me that all of their machines have the same raised edges or have some damage, which they don't. I looked at every machine which is open for customers use, and there are only 2 with damage to the inside. I'm posting photos of the sweater and damage inside of the washer below. Use caution if you go to this laundromat. You clothes are not safe, and they take no responsibility for their damaged machines. read more

I've always liked this place. I do my own laundry but today, I was utterly appalled as a women placed her dog on their chair...ok...but then later put it on top of the machine when she proceeded to do other things. Clearly this person did not want her dog's paws to touch the floor. Many of us have allergies. I told the workers (always pleasant..seriously) but they looked and didn't care. We go to a laundry mat to get away from dander...We have "allergies." l don't feel like pets should be allowed it a laundromat...let alone on their machines ! read more

I've been going here for over 4 years. Is it weird to say that this is one of my favourite places in NYC? It's extremely clean, staff is so friendly and respects customers. Convenient and takes credit cards. There seems to always be an open washer or dryer. Fair pricing. They have a lost sock tree in the back. Not sure how much more I have to add but this place feels like an extension of my own home and it will be a sad day once I have the luxury of my own washer/dryer read more

I've been using this place for wash and fold for about eight months now. It's a little over $1/lb. and I believe there's a 10 lb. minimum ($12). CASH ONLY. So far I've had nothing shrunk, lost or ruined. They're always true to "ready by" time. On the weekends as long as I've taken my laundry bag in by noon it's ready after 3 pm. Not bad. I've never used the laundromat here as the wash and fold is efficient and affordable. They're not an overly chatty bunch but are cordial and do good work. read more

I really have to say that I love this place. After moving to the city I needed to find a place that I could do my laundry and not feel totally creeped out. This place is clean and the guys that work there are nice. The machines aren't usually too busy on the weekend mornings and not at all during the week. The drop off procedure is good and they get you your laundry fast. Oh it's cash only but there's a small shop next door if you need an ATM. read more

Awful! The card machine steals your money, the staff argue with customers Abbott the stolen money and are accusatory. They are not helpful and off you are lucky enough to find a machine unoccupied by staff... Grab it! Because staff comes first there, not the customer. The manager even said right to my face that he is not concerned with inconvenience to people who come in to use the machines. The dryers are set low...so extra time is needed for drying. Finally... The place is never clean. I didn't want to put my clean clothed on the table to fold. The last visit I left and dragged the clothes to Ansonia where I was treated as a human! How can this place exist in such a beautiful neighborhood?! read more
