    Soggy sad fries
    Leah S.

Bartender playing videos on phone at full volume while he wondered around doing nothing. Highly unprofessional. Get some ear buds or go to the back my guy. Based on this alone I did not plan to return for a third time. But then the philly was way under filled with much of the meat being fat that should have been trimmed. The queso was runny and the guacamole was full of huge chunks of avacado. The wrap was ok but also could have been atuffed fuller. Soggy sad fries to top it off. Three stars is generous.

What was given minus two pancakes and the bacon that was given to my granddaughter.

Made reservations for Galentines Day and walked away disappointed. The only available items were the Galentines Brunch Boards, but this was not advertised. The board consisted of 3 super thin cold pancakes, 2 pieces of candied bacon, a handful of yogurt covered pretzels, two mini Walmart cupcakes, a cookie, a snowball cake, a mini donut, a donut hole, some sliced strawberries and some scattered M&Ms. A plate full of sugar for $25 a person was a bit shocking to say the least. My friend commented that it was what you would expect from an 8 year old who prepped breakfast for Mom on Mother's Day. That sentiment was also shared by the table next to us. We told our table neighbors that we were heading next door to Angelo's for some real food and they asked if we would bring them back something. While idea was cute in theory, it was poorly executed. They should have offered a menu of regular brunch food for those of us that didn't want to walk out with diabetes or for those with dietary restrictions.

Something turtle drink (sorry, can't remember)
    Sarah

I went in the afternoon on a Thursday, so it wasn't very busy. I took a seat at the bar and was helped under 5 minutes. The place was quiet at the time I walked in except the music in the kitchen, but I liked how the establishment looked, and the River Walk just outside the doors and patio. I can't remember the name of the drink I ordered, it had turtle in the name, but it was delicious and I got it quick. I also ordered the Green Chile Cheeseburger, and other than being a little messy to eat, it was also good. I was a little bummed that they didn't have the fried pickles I wanted, but the chips and salsa wasn't a bad substitute. All in all, I enjoyed it, and will probably be back at some point.

Supposed to be the Guacamole with Poblano Queso topped with green chili and fresh veggies.
    Athena M.

No, sorry to say but it was not good. Guacamole was yucky and not fresh housemade nor did it come with herbed flour chips, missing green chili, and fresh veg. Poblano queso was obviously Tostitos. They were out of the fried pickles so I got the black bean empanadas. The oil was old/dirty so they tasted rancid. Our server was nice and location is cool but just bad food.

    Great view, lovely evening.

I went to a bar this weekend that I used to practically live at a few years ago, and the difference…read morewas honestly shocking. What used to feel fun and welcoming now felt uncomfortable the second we walked up. The bouncers immediately gave off a creepy, unsettling vibe. They barely spoke, just made vague hand gestures while avoiding eye contact completely. When they did say something, it was mumbled so quietly you couldn't even understand them. Right from the entrance, the whole atmosphere felt off, but since it was my birthday and I'm newly single, my girlfriends and I decided to give it a chance and try to have a good night anyway. Inside, the place felt dead for a Saturday night. We went to the dance floor, and the only person dancing was an elderly woman who looked close to 80. The energy was nonexistent. The one bright spot of the night was the female bartender near the dance floor -- she was genuinely friendly and gave us the only positive interaction we had there. After that, we walked to the other side of the bar hoping maybe the vibe would improve, but it only got worse. There were barely any people there, almost all men, and the atmosphere became even more uncomfortable. The music was terrible, the crowd felt awkward, and the whole place had this strange, unfriendly energy that made us want to leave as quickly as possible. We finished our drinks and got out of there. Walking past those same creepy bouncers on the way out honestly felt like a relief. It's sad to see a place I used to love turn into somewhere that now feels so unwelcoming and uneasy.

The restaurant has a cozy, homey feel with sea-themed décor -- things like fishing nets, crab cages, and other nautical touches that make it feel like a neighborhood seafood spot. We started with their signature crab cake, which was thin, nicely cooked, and drizzled with a flavorful bistro sauce. For our main dish we had the daily fish special, a flaky grilled fish that was lightly seasoned and served with well-cooked vegetables and risoni pasta. The green beans were especially memorable -- perfectly crispy, which reminded me how much I love them prepared that way. The staff was friendly and helpful, even recommending the $8 wine special, which was a great value. Overall, a welcoming neighborhood restaurant downtown Pueblo with great seafood and a relaxed atmosphere.

There are shaded tables, plus the light breeze made it delightful. Service is friendly and quick. House salad is well presented. A nice mix of freshly cut veggies. Reuben is excellent. The pastrami tastes smoked, which is a unique twist to this NY deli fan. It's hand-sliced thin, topped with sauerkraut and melted swiss, slathered with thousand island dressing and served on toasted rye. Very good rendition of this knife & fork sandwich. Could resist chocolate lava cake. Because what's lunch without dessert??? :-) It's a hockey-puck sized chocolate cake, covered with molten chocolate. Inside, the cavity is filled with more molten chocolate. For the chocoholic, this one is a must. Pro Tip - filling is HOT! This is a great little spot. Try it!

Pros: Walking in the hostess was helping another couple but did acknowledge us. She went to sit the couple and another staff apologized and said that she will be right with us. We were sat outside and immediately were given water. Our waiter, who I can't remember his name, talked to us and took our drink order. My husband ordered a beer and me an iced tea. He gave us a few minutes before coming back to take our order. We started with the green chili fries and when they came out they were very good. I do wish there was a little bit of spice to it, but not a con. I even ordered a cup of green chili with my shrimp tacos. And my husband ordered the slopper. I loved the shrimp tacos, that I got the lettuce instead of a tortilla. I would highly order and recommend. Husband loved the slipper. He said if you don't see the fries or bun, assume your eating it all. Our waiter is very knowledgeable and was quick with his recommendations. He answered a burger question when asked and took his time with us. We did not feel rushed. My husband also ordered a beer flight and found some he enjoyed. All the staff worked together and matched our personality. Well, my husband's personality. We ended up ordering 3 cups if green chili with their chips. The salsa had a nice kick, mild kick, because they added green chilis to it. It tasted home made. When we had a minor issue with the bill, our waiter took charge and without hesitation took to fix it. We of course had to order dessert. Our waiter came back within minutes to inform some of the desserts were sold out but offered a replacement. I got the peach pie and my husband got the chocolate cake. The peach pie was a perfect mini size Cons: My husband was surprised the manager wasn't walking around ensuring everything ran smoothly. I honestly don't see it as a con. Also, the parking lot is small and when it gets busy I can see walking from another block over. There are 3 spots for the hotel and 4 spots that are a 2 hour limit. Recommended? Absolutely yes. Great food and excellent staff. Everyone here is friendly and seems excited to help the customers. We will definitely be back. And maybe stay at the hotel and walk over to enjoy a hamburger or more shrimp tacos with a cup of green chili

Since we hadn't been here in five years, I mentioned to our waiter how much I was craving a bowl, and he went out of his way to make it happen. That level of service alone made the visit memorable. I also ordered the Velvet Smoke mezcal cocktail, and wow, it was exceptional. Smooth, perfectly balanced, and not too strong. The smoky notes were present but not overpowering, and the nixta slate liqueurs, or heat and bitters brought everything together beautifully. Great service, great drinks, and a team that's willing to go the extra mile. Definitely worth the stop.
