3.5 but I rounded up. This is such a pretty restaurant. Immediately when you enter, the wall behind the host is striking. It's the perfect place for a date night. Not pictured, I had a margarita, which was exactly as I would hope for and well poured. We also tried calamari, which was lightly breaded and well cooked. Calamari can go chewy real quick, but not here. I will say the cocktail sauce felt very simple and basic, but the remoulade was fantastic. For my entree, I got the short rib. It was nice and fell apart, but the flavor was lacking a bit for me. It felt like it could use some more seasoning. The vegetables were good, and if you like polenta, I think you'd enjoy the dish. I feel it may have been better suited for mashed potatoes, but I think I can texturally see the vision. The staff was friendly, and it was a pleasant dining experience overall. read more

Geez those nachos are amazing! Generously piling on this smoky sweet beef brisket in between layers of crispy chips, while sprinkling in the sour cream and avocado verde and jalapeño to complement versus distract... mmm easily the best nachos I've had in awhile. Also got the PEI Mussels Marniere and the Post Burger. The mussels were generous though some were a bit rubbery, and really liked the chardonnay-infused sauce they were bathed in. The burger was just alright, with a good medium well temperature and a standard taste. Service was excellent. Kitchen was pretty quick. Prices are what prices are these days at nice places. Vibe is casual elevated. Overall, can see why this place is a go-to spot in the area. read more

It was a Friday night and outdoor dining was full so we went inside. The stench of ammonia and cleaning fluids was powerful. There was not one diner eating inside, a shame considering it looked so inviting but the smell was horrific. I mentioned it to the hostess and she seemed indifferent. They found us a table outside by a door that squeaked loudly every time it opened and shut, it was distracting but tolerable. The food was delicious, very tasty! Service was fine. Our meal here was beyond incredible. This spot is modern, and the perfect dinner right in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Our server was also just so wonderful. She was attentive and let us taste a few of the wines before we committed to a bottle of the wonderful sparkling wine from Two Sisters Winery. This was a birthday meal for my partner and they made it truly special. For the appetizer, we had the spinach artichoke dip. You can never go wrong with this tasty treat. My partner got the tender steak, while I got the tamarind beef salad. It was light and perfect. For dessert, our sever surprised us with some ice cream and sprinkler for my partner's birthday. She overheard us talking about his birthday and I didn't even have to ask. It was such a nice touch. We ended up buying some wines from Two Sisters to take away. We loved this dining experience and would definitely come back. They were also very good with our kids. We have 5 year old twins and everyone on the waitstaff treated them so well. It was a nice dinner spot with great service but the food was very mediocre. It was very normal American/Canadian food with a high price tag. My family ordered the Spinach and artichoke dip, Maui tuna w/ house coleslaw side, ribeye frites, Baja fish tacos, roasted chicken, baby back ribs, salmon filet, grapefruit summer spritz. The best thing was my drink, the grapefruit summer spritz which was a cocktail but only had a small hint of alcohol which I liked. In terms of the food, the spinach and artichoke dip was not bad. It was quite cheesy and hot. I also had the ribeye frites cooked medium rare and it was flavorless. The 11th Post on Queen is lovely. The design and decor are great, the service was also quite good, as was the food. However, the menu pricing is inconsistent with the quality and quantity of the food. I specifically ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. It was delicious, however I was informed it was the ONLY al a carte dish on the menu and if I want a side of pasta it was an additional charge. I ordered the side of pasta, so for Chicken parmigiana and a side of pasta, that was not substantial the total cost of the main course was $44.00. While it was delicious, and I recognize the impacts of inflation of restaurants these days, that pricing model is outrageous. Other guests, enjoyed equally as delicious meals, that came with appropriate accompaniments with much more appropriate pricing. Overall - Food - excellent, ambiance - very nice, value - below an acceptable level. read more

This was probably one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. This restaurant is owned by a local winery, and they offer pairings for EVERY item on the menu. The ambiance was a perfect mix of cozy yet still upscale. The happy hour deals were actually the best I've ever seen. We also stayed for dinner. Our server was the most friendly, sweet individual and truly cared about us, I believe her name was Gaea. She gave us personal recommendations on our food and tips on events going on in town. We sat at a very comfortable and cozy U-shaped booth. Our server was friendly and prompt. The food also came out quickly. We shared the Zucchini Tabbouleh Salad which was nice and refreshing. It came with a tzatziki-like sauce which I enjoyed. I ordered the Steak Frites which was delicious and perfectly cooked. It came with crispy fries that were not too oily. My wife had the salmon which was also melt-in-your-mouth and served with silky smooth whipped potatoes. The kiddo had the chicken fingers which were just ok. The drinks were top notch. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and gave excellent recommendations that made the experience even better. Anyone looking for the best BBQ ribs should stop by. I would so much like to rate this place higher, but I really cannot. Here is why. First of all, I don't understand what the seating hostess has against us. Maybe because we are older? Anyway, the first table offered was right by the server's station and an exit door to the patio. We rejected that table even though we passed several unoccupied booths by the windows that were eventually seated with couples like us. The next table we reluctantly took even though it was next to a squirmy kid. My wife was looking out toward the windows, which had a bad glare. I was just a silhouette because of the lighting. Fortunately our server Brooke was very good. We each ordered the Thai shrimp soup, which was very good. We also ordered the seared tuna rice bowl, which was not. The tuna was overly seared which gave it a sooty taste. Once over seared, there is no going back. We told Brooke who told the restaurant manager who came over to learn more. We spontaneously called in for reservations on our way back to Niagara Falls and thankfully they were able to accommodate us. The restaurant is beautiful and thoughtfully curated. Our waiter Albert was great and helped us decide on several items in addition to our kids. The nachos appetizer was INSANE. I even kept one bite to end my meal with after the main course. We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around exploring Niagara on the Lake. The entrance is hidden in a small alleyway, so it'd probably be easy to miss it if you were walking down the street. The server told us that the restaurant had just opened a week ago, which made us really want to check it out. We ordered a couple of sandwiches, mine was a French Dip. It was one of the best French Dips I've ever had. The meat was so tender and moist. It really didn't even need the au jus. I also really liked their fries and cole slaw. All in all, it was a great lunch. I do believe this restaurant would be better for a nice romantic dinner though. read more

So good in every way. We had lunch here and wine. We shared appetizers and really found it yummy. The wine was superb. Service was great. Bathroom was the only drawback since it was down a flight of steps. They had just mopped but the floor seemed like it had been oiled. They need a rug to protect from falls. I am not kidding when I say this may have been the best dining experience I've ever had. We were in NOTL for my 40th birthday and decided upon 11th for dinner. I ordered the zucchini tabbouleh with salmon, which was awesome. The flavors were well-balanced and light. My husband ordered their beef short ribs with potato croquettes (special that evening) and it was hands down the best thing either of us have ever eaten. It was rich without being overpowering and intensely flavorful. Our wines were excellent as well. I also felt the price for the dinner was very reasonable as well. In an area where there is an abundance of offerings, and many of them very high priced, 11th Post on Queen should not be ignored. The nachos were good, the zucchini salad was ok. The top 2 dishes were the salmon and tuna. The $30 burger was a miss. The fries were good and the dip was good. The wines were good and good service.
