    Margarita pizza with ice wine

Staff were cold, food and wine were good. Ambiance could be better. Overall lacks dedication. Ice wine is $22 a small glass. Spiders are everywhere on the fence which made our time very difficult.

I enjoyed my time at The Waterfront. It's a nice spot to enjoy views of the lake, even on a rainy day like it was for me. My aunt and uncle, and most of their friends it seems, come here often. It's a bit of an older crowd here, but still worth checking out. Though, make time for parking because it's street parking and there's not much of it close by. I got the soup d'jour which was potato and leek. It was yummy and comforting, especially on a cold and rainy day. The soup was savory and not over salted. My main course was fish and chips. The fish was plump, and the batter was crispy. The fries were on the softer side. I didn't try the cole slaw because I'm not a fan. Service was friendly. I would state that you should come here when you are not in a time crunch. Not that they're slow - I think the food came out in time. But you want to take the time to enjoy the food, views, and company. Lastly, the atmosphere is more on the quiet side, at least for Americans maybe (I guess I'm feeding into the stereotype but also I come from a loud family). So something to keep in mind when you're there.

I was here last weekend with my family on vacation in Canada. We went here during lunch time for appetizers and it was amazing! We got the Charcuterie & Cheese board, Margherita Flatbread Pizza, Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza, and Potato & Bacon Flatbread Pizza. They were all delicious, my favorite was the Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza. The ambiance was beautiful dining outside with a lake view and the staff were friendly

Gord and I had supper Thursday evening at the restaurant at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club. It is apparently the oldest existing golf course in North America ... it opened in 1875. I had a pepperoni pizza and Gord had a Shrimp & Lobster Roll (shrimp and lobster salad, warm croissant, pea shoots). Both were good and I took some pizza away as leftovers. Gorgeous views as the sun was setting!

Yummy!!!! Yes I recommend coming here if in the area. Lived everything about this restaurant. View is amazing ! We ordered the charcuterie board and wine. What is better than that for lunch! Server was Tristan , he was excellent! Thank you for great service!!! He deserves a raise !

Caesar salad as an entree add shrimp.

The salad was delicious! The waiter made very good suggestions and was very friendly. This was our first time in the restaurant AND in Canada and will be remembering this experience as one of the best parts of our trip!

Our favorite place for breakfast in the area! Super friendly service with great, affordable food. We've came here twice on our most recent visit to NOTL, and absolutely loved both experiences. Coffee is solid and gets the job done. Our server was very attentive and made sure we always had a hot, fresh cup whenever he passed by. Don't sleep on the Eggs Benedict! Cooked to perfection with fluffy poached eggs, creamy hollandaise and smoked salmon with just the right salty bite. The avocado toast was delicious too! It was topped with a guacamole-style spread rather than fresh mashed avocado, but the flavor was top notch. We shared both dishes and thoroughly enjoyed each. The home fries are perfect, super crispy and served fresh every time! The service was excellent too. Attentive and friendly, and they let us enjoy our breakfast and coffees without feeling rushed. Beautiful views of the water when sitting by the window, which is always a bonus!

You're basically paying for the view of the water if you dine here. Food was not good and neither were the drinks. After walking along Queen St browsing the shops and restaurants, we found ourself here and decided to check it out for an early dinner since they have outdoor seating on their patio along the Niagara River. I ordered a pina colada, $8, which tasted like it didn't have any alcohol at all. I also ordered a lobster roll with fries, $15 and it was a very bland sandwich. We also shared the antipasto plate, which I assumed which had a two triangles of cheese, some meats, beets, crostini, quinoa, and some other things that weren't very memorable. It wasn't good either. Service was slow and inattentive.

Simply Amazing! Everyone had something different with the same results SOOO delightful! Service was on point today but not many here...so?! Worth the wait. No patio avail for Breakfast nooo

There were lots of meat/seafood dishes, cheeses, cold cuts, breads, omelette station, waffles and bread pudding and several other pastries too. Hubby had a great selection! Juice, tea, coffee were included and hubby said the coffee was excellent. 90% of the food is local farm to table and the freshness could be tasted. Hubby loved the salmon but found the sausage dry. Our server was excellent and very helpful. There is parking just outside or on the street.

Continuing alphabet series representing 2025, P is for Peller Estates Winery. My girlfriend & I…read morevisited Niagara Falls & Toronto in June 2025. We drove up to Niagara-on-the-Lake as I had good things about that area. I asked a local what wineries recommended and was told about Peller. There are about 40 wineries to choose from in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Peller Estates ended up being an excellent one. We drove up to a large estate with fields. Bartender was friendly. We asked about wine tastings. Bartender mentioned how Canada has ice wine, which American wineries don't have. She let us sample it to see if we liked, which we did and opted to just get the ice wine. Wow, that was a delicious white wine! I wish we had that in the US. But in general, much of the US climate is too warm for ice wine. The grapes are out there to freeze solid. Ice wine needs to be picked below 18 F (-8 C). In Maryland where I live, winter can get cold, but it's inconsistent, some years barely any days below 18 F in Baltimore. Ideally, you want multiple days in a row for a more sustained freeze instead of rushing out for the few hours it might get down to 15 F. On the flip side, it can be too cold in northern Minnesota (where it easily gets below 5 F or -15 C often, which is the lower temp limit) or upstate NY. Also, heavy lake effect snow like that often occurs in Buffalo is problematic. It's a specific microclimate of the Niagara peninsula near Lake Ontario, where it gets cold but not extremely cold too often, not many heavy snowfalls. In the US, near Lake Erie is the sweet spot for ice wine in southwest NY, northern PA, & northeastern OH. Also, northern Michigan near Great Lakes as well as the Finger Lakes region of NY. The lakes moderate the temperatures in the winter if winery is positioned south of the lake, but needs to also be in an area not prone to be slammed by heavy Lake Effect snows like Buffalo. We wanted to sit on the outside, but there was a private event being setup. We sat at a nice table inside the beautiful estate. Afterward, we brought our glasses back to the bartender thanking her and saying the ice wine was excellent. She took the glasses back and said here are 2 clean glasses to take with you thanking us for our visit. This was an excellent experience. Highly recommend a visit to Peller Estates!

She also seemed to want to charge me for the previous two 1 ounce samples. I did try it and liked it, and decided to buy a bottle. Note this was even a bit more expensive than the previous wine i bought. Two issues with their sampling pricing. 1. It works out to about $35-40 a glass for a normal glass. that's a lot. 2. Why does the customer have to pay to try a wine they might want to buy. The tour only shows cheap wines so it does not show off any really good, or more pricey, wines. Seem like short sighted marketing to me. Conclusion = over priced tourist trap.
