One of our favorite hang out spots! Great beer and relaxing atmosphere when on the patio. We also love that SoCal Taco comes on Sundays!

Beer is usually good but I experienced horrible customer service. I ordered a flight standing at the menu and looking up at the menu. When I went to check out, my flight was $16, and suppose to be $11. The bartender goes "everything with an * is $1 more on the paper" I told her I ordered from the menu not the paper and I would have never ordered that. She spoke back to me very rudely and said "well you didn't know the price of a flight before hand" and I ended up having to pay for it. That is horrible customer service. I've been in the customer service industry for half my life and I've never been so disrespected and spoke to so rudely. I will NOT go back. read more

Awesome trip!!! After taste testing at Dvine last week decided to make a trip to the brewery... Glad we did!!! Did two flights and tasted all the beers currently on tap. We found some new favorites and left with a few crawlers for home. We will definitely come back. read more

He asked a little about what beers I typically like to drink and was able to pick 6 incredible beers! I really like the whole barnone concept! Proud to call 12 West my new local bar/brewery! A bike ride away, is my new favorite day drinking spot. A new(ish) addition to Agritopia, 12 West provides the beer option to compliment all of the good food and coffee already on the grounds. I have been there about a dozen times so far, and tried just about all of the brews. The stand outs for me are the Mijo (Triple IPA), the Frontside (West Coast IPA), and the Insomniac (Double IPA). OK, yes, I am partial to IPA's. The seating arrangement both inside and out promotes a very social atmosphere where you can strike up conversation or take some new friends on in a board game. One of 12 West's biggest strengths is the staff. Each member is friendly, knowledgeable, and provides outstanding customer service. It is also a small staff, so you start to get to know them pretty quickly! The GM and head Brewer are almost always on site taking care of business and helping show people a good time. Bonus- the music/playlist works for me. The only 2 things keeping it from 5 stars: 1) Closing time! I know it is East Gilbert, but last call at 10:45pm on the weekend can be a drag, especially when there are not many options for a place to go after! I believe it is even earlier on the weeknights. But again, for day drinking, this is the spot! 2) Some of the other beers (non IPA) need work. They are not bad by any means, but just average. I do love that they continue to release new brews and I am confident the overall quality will only get better! So glad you set up shop here 12 West! read more

Had the triple IPA overall was reasonably priced and had a very nice smooth flavor, didn't have a lasting head for a higher alcohol content IPA and wasn't very hoppy which is just personal expectations, but overall was extremely drinkable for 10.4%, will try some of the other beers worth a return trip read more

Bad ass little brewery. We tried the sampler (wife doesn't like beer) but the wife DID enjoy some of the selections. Usually on a flight of beers I end up liking one or two, but I liked 5/6 out of this one. I tried a 7th (Mojo) and that was the best one. so 6/7 I liked. We stopped on a Sunday afternoon and the biggest bonus was the music.....METAL!!! We walked in as Metallica's first album was playing. LOVE IT!! read more

I struggle with this place... there are TVS but nothing on, there is great beer at 6 bucks a beer for all beers (could be a bit lower but not a terrible price) but they won't give you a discount for bringing your own growler and it's ONLY beer, it is a great atmostphere but it's way too small... the pizza place next door is cool that there is a food option but it's way overpriced and limited (their menu has like 5 items on it- two $11-12 MOD sized pizzas) and there are no other food really (the plant-based place way in the back wasn't open at night when I went ). Having said all this, I will walk back bc it's close to my house... I just hope it isn't over-crowded again bc this ruins it... overall they need a bigger space. read more

I love this joint! I have been here numerous times and it's always awesome. The vibe is always on and the beer is always flowing. The tap tenders are always friendly and willing to give you samples to help you find the perfect beer! There's pizza within a few steps and sometimes they bring in food trucks. The patio is covered and always very well taken care of and the best part?! There's usually a pup or two to pet while drinking beer!!! What more could you ask for?! read more

This is one of our favorite breweries to visit. Brian and the staff are great. The Mijo well let's just say you have to have one.

The beer is amazing and I'm a total beer snob. The quality is exceptional and they always have something for everyone. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. We are treated like friends instead of just customers. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and Always knows what I wanna drink. Coming here is a pleasure and being able to order food from other places makes every night there unique and fun. read more

Living in the development across the street all I can say is thanks! Beers are decent and you can bring any food you like! Cool vibe and dog friendly patio. I've had their brews at other locations and it was cool to see their operation. Inside job Sour IPA was excellent along with the peach among worlds gose. It was great to see Jaye. Their place is amazing! We love local IPA craft beer and theirs is up with the best in the valley. We had a flight(6) plus an extra (they were already sold out of 3 since opening day on tue!) the three that were memorable to us were Frontside which is their west coast IPA and it was a smooth citrus hop. Midnight run which was not as sweet as your typical coffee stout but still had a hit of chocolate. The Mijo was amazing it's a triple IPA (10.4 abv) and you could really taste the peach and mango flavors. I wish them all the best this place is great! read more

Took a co-worker to grab a drink before we could even finish half a beer a employee, albeit not the person serving us or anybody we talked to or greeted us , walks by and says quietly they are paying for our beers and we need to leave. Was confused and talked to the manager and SHE stated she was not getting involved. Confused as to a place is run when the manager acts this way...not to mention the passive aggressive way I was told to leave by someone who I guess has a problem with someone I know. As a patron and homeowner in this area just disturbing to find a company treat customers this way as it is very unprofessional and actually childish to think people don't check there egos or at the door of work!! Side note good beer but not worth being belittled at the expense of trying to support local business. read more

I've visited this brewery several times and each time their Front Side IPA seems to taste different. However, this last visit it was not good at all. The beer seemed flat and it didn't even taste close to other times I tried this beer. So I'm assuming they modified the recipe and possibly used a different hops. I've seen this happen before at other local breweries, but they disclosed it, so I knew what I was getting. I love the whole Barnone concept, and I want this place to be successful, so please take this as constructive feedback. I'm very curious to know if you changed your recipe. If you didn't then someone dropped the ball on this batch. read more

First visit and we loved the charm of this little place. Waitstaff was great, except the two women working, straight up rude. Beers were disappointing sadly. With so many great brewers in Arizona they need to step it up. We knew they didn't offer food, but you can bring food over from the pizza place next to them...again that was disappointing too. read more

Great little nano brewery and just what Gilbert needed. The IPA is really good but my wife says they need orange slices for their wheat beer. All the bar tenders are very friendly and helpful. An added bonus is being able to order food from restaurants nearby and bring it into brewery. A must try in Gilbert. read more

Worth the drive from Scottsdale! This craft brewery is part of agritopia which is a group of local business offering food, booze, and crafts! Ordered a flight of beers from the brewery, a couple pizza's from the restaurant directly across, and a sandwich from the coffee shop. They let you bring the food back to the brewery so you can enjoy it with your beer. The vibe here attracts the DIY'ers and what seems like an educated crowd. I didn't get to try the uprooted kitchen which is just down the hall from the brewery, so I'll be back to try their food as well as a visit to the winery. Side note, the coffee brew and sour were my favorite. I was not a fan of the lemon drop. Overall, if you want a clean, family friendly, doggy friendly, local business promoting type outing this is your spot. Also, limited indoor seating so unless the outdoor patio is open make sure to go with a large group only when the weather is nice! read more

So my wife and I were at the winery across from 12 west brewing co., which had a sign outside that also said "SoCal fish tacos"....since they didn't have much food at the winery, we were looking for somewhere good to eat. We asked the winery if it was a good place to eat, they said "sure they do a good job over there." So we headed over, we walked over to the patio and there was I think the manager, and a bartender and that was it, everyone who was on the patio had all their dogs all over the patio, not an exaggeration, every customer had their dog there and you had to step over and between dogs that were laying down to get a seat on the patio. THATS A LOT OF DOGS FOLKS. 2 customers dogs kept fighting too and the dog kept crying loudly. Back to the experience, I asked who seemed to be the manager how do I start ordering? "Oh well you have to go in there and start a tab with bartender to get it going" strange that there isn't a server or something on a Sunday, which is normally a busy day, but I was cool with it. I went to start a tab with the bartender, and kept looking for a menu, I asked "where is the food menu?" She replied "we just have drinks for now, we don't start making tacos till 5, and we don't normally even sell food, then she offered for me to go to the other restaurant instead (joes farm grill) if we were hungry. I thought, you have a sign outside that says so cal fish tacos, and you don't normally sell food? Weird. I'm guessing someone from the real restaurant comes there on sundays and makes food for people who drink beer with dogs everywhere? Maybe instead of trying to send me to a competitor, you could respond in a nicer way and explain why you don't normally sell food, instead of assuming everyone knows about how exactly your business works...Either way, every response we got it felt like no one wanted us there, and the ambience seemed off inside the bar, everyone seemed crapped out, it was super quiet, it was weird. We ordered 2 beers and they sucked. We left, never going back. The end. read more

Tried this place our after reading the great reviews on Yelp. Glad we did; really enjoyed our couple of beers on the outdoor "patio". Beers were excellent, Sunday Morning Saison for me and Midnight Run Coffee Stout for my husband. Rating only 4 stars instead of 5 was due to lackluster service; not bad, just not very friendly for a calm Sunday afternoon. Overall, we will definitely be back; looks like a fun place to enjoy a couple beers, especially if the weather is good so you can sit outside where its open. Hopefully, the service will be a bit more welcoming next time but regardless, the beer was worth coming back for. read more

Great place and great beer. The tree in the courtyard needs to grow to provide some shade but that's a side issue to the beer which is why one goes to a brewery. Eager to try the brown ale which ran out prior to my arrival at the brewery. They offer free samples without attitude or cost. Overall a great small brewery with lots to offer. read more
