Woke up late for Sunday breakfast, was solo this morning around 1030. Got there, and place was slammed, parking lot was full. Walked in, told waitress I'd wait for a counter spot, got one in under 10 mins, which was fine as I was reading a book while eyeballing the counter. They were super busy with live customers, take out orders,, and Grub Hub, but took care of me, got my drink, took my order, and a tribute to the cooks, it was out in just a few mins. Great traditional, greasy spoon type diner! Service is solid and the atmosphere is as you would expect for a small town diner. Interior is larger that you would expect, don't be deterred by a full parking lot. read more

Its good. This was my first weekend experience here and I have something to say. They only serve breakfast on weekends...okay, I get it but check out some of the breakfast specials: meatball omelette (with marinara), turkey club omelette..need I go on. I would have much preferred the option of getting a sandwich or lunch item sans the eggs. If you are a true diner, please re-think the weekend options. Great coffee-- and that's a big deal as most diner's tend to offer dishwater flavored with a bit of Java. We went around Noon on a Sunday-- it was busy but we were seated right away. It's smaller than it looks and the seats are arranged a bit oddly but the Cheese Omelet and Pancakes we got were top notch- and did I mention the coffee? Some of the specials; Mac and Cheese Omelet, Buffalo Chicken Omelet and a few other interesting sounding options. The waitress was a bit pushy, flipping my menu to the breakfast section (I didn't know they only serve breakfast on weekends) and berating the diner next to me for not wanting to take the rest of his food home. Very comfortable and open floor plan. Good diner for breakfast or lunch, but the breakfast food was especially good. Bacon was cooked just right, home fries were excellent. I had a grilled corn muffin that was a little soft/moist for my taste, but still very tasty (I prefer a hearty and even slightly crumbly corn muffin). The waitresses are always very good, but one pleasant and attentive dynamo identified as "M" on the receipt is really exceptional. read more

I love this place! No frills, cheap breakfast. I always get exactly what I want and the service is always really good. I'm partial to the omelettes and they always have creative specials. There is plenty of seating and the place still fills up on weekend mornings. If you have an allergy read on... I do not recommend this place if you have an allergy. I've giving it 2 stars because the food was actually good, and the service was slow (could be related to my allergy) but the waitress was very nice! I have a severe tree nut allergy and there are very few places that haven't been able to accommodate my allergy in my life. (Obviously avoiding the obvious like bakeries and such) I instinctively didn't order pancakes because of the nut toppings. So I ordered the eggs with homemade corn beef hash that came with home fries and toast. And a side of kielbasa. The toast- they didn't know what was in it or cross contamination (which whatever that does happen so I asked for extra potatoes and said forget the toast) but the HOMEMADE HASH "with the spices and gravy" they weren't sure ... except it's homemade so what do you put in it...? The eggs I ordered whites because while I worn die - the yokes upset my stomach. But they were concerned with the eggs- so I asked if they could just do them in a separate pan? "Oh that's a good idea" ... thanksss. So I was served half a serving of potatoes (my boyfriend meals had twice the amount despite him not asking for extra!) and 2 eggs whites and some kielbasa. It was delicious but I tried to work with them and I left hungry and probably won't be back- which sucks because I did enjoy the food and i live close by. I wish they had a better allergy plan, and I would be willing to try it again if they had something in place for those of us with real allergies read more

Finanally a Breakfast place that takes pride in the food they are serving! I am not a local but have had breakfast here twice and both times the food and service has been outstanding. The homemade hash is delicious! The home fries are done right crispy on the outside tender on the inside! There bacon and sausage are high end cuts of meat. Not all bacon is the same... And their bacon is great! The italian toast is dynamite! Try the Chinese sausage too! Eggs are cooked just the way you order them! I ordered over medium... They were perfect! Kudos again to the owner who ever he may be.....I think I will contact Diners Drive in and Dives and let them know a road trip is in order! read more

This is a "Nothing Up My Sleeve" review of the 122 Diner as experienced on 09 January 2016. Service: The only thing sweeter than the syrup are the waitresses. Young, enthusiastic and hazardous to anyone with diabetes. For me a bit more bubbly than I would prefer, but I am the Grinches grumpy second cousin. Prompt and courteous pretty much sums it up. Food: Nothing to write home about, not even noteworthy enough for the mens room wall. Its akin to the quality you would expect from an one of those old diner car style places. What was upsetting was being provided a full menu, but not all items are available.......This baffles me and is top of my list why I wont visit here again. Basically no mashed potatoes, no gravy, no fry up, so even though they have sandwiches and burgers, forget about the fries or rings....Come On! Atmosphere: Again nothing to get excited about. Clean, decent size, ample parking, easy access. Recommendation: Overall unless you find yourself running out of gas in front of their door I would make other plans. read more

Used to come here for breakfast whenever I'd come up to visit my now husband. We live in San Diego now and this was the first place he wanted to go when he got back! The service is always fast and efficient, someone is always coming around for coffee refills. It definitely could use a little facelift, it's a little outdated. The prices are reasonable for decent portions and we've never gotten something we didn't like or had a problem with. I don't like when I'm on the way out and I can see them putting the toast on the plates with their bare hands, makes me wonder what else they touch. Anyways, never stopped me from coming back and definitely some good classic diner food. read more

We just moved to town and in my travels I saw this place. So I figured I would put it to my test and go at busiest time on a Sunday. There was ample parking, and a constant flow of patrons. Inside was very welcoming and clean. After waiting in line for a seat , only 10 min, for it being packed we were seated by very pleasant greeter. After seeing the menu there was a large variety of breakfast specials and meals. Thought prices were a tad high until I saw the portions. Definatly get every penny worth. Hash browns cooked perfect, bacon was ideal, pancakes were out of this world. The waitress was constant and extremely polite! This place was packed and everyone was enjoying themselves and food was flowing in a timely manor. Highly recommend breakfast to anyone.
