    His 13 Bones Burger
    Dayla K.

My Man and I spent several hours just seeing the sites. Since it had been many years since either of us had enjoyed 13 Bones, we decided to stop. First, our Server was a delight!! He made sure everything was perfect! We started off with the Cheese Sticks with both ranch dressing and marinara sauce! The marinara sauce was really good! The ranch dressing was too watered down for my taste!!! The cheese sticks were hot and fresh! Very gooey and good! He ordered the 13 Bones burger with fries. The burger had amazing flavor! The fries were a bit too salty, but they were perfectly cooked and served hot! I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with their homemade chips! I ordered an extra side of dressing for both my sandwich and the chips. I just cannot rave enough about how amazing my entire meal was! Those chips were PERFECT!!!! Already looking forward to our next visit! Most Sincerely, Dayla

After hearing so many good things about this place I had to try it out for myself and I was very impressed! The food was absolutely amazing and they had very decent prices. The service was great, we will definitely be going back again soon!!

    Half chicken, baked beans, slaw

First time at 13 Bones. It appears to be a very popular spot in Mount Airy, which lacks steak houses and similar types of food. Anyway, my wife and I had a nice date and a dinner. The wait was about 30 minutes on a Friday night, but they have a nice outside area to hang out in while you wait. We were waited on by Kelly. She was super fun and engaging while really knowing what she is talking about. We had an order of fried pickles. Good stuff, hot, fresh, etc. At Kelly's recommendation, I had the special, crab cakes which were crispy fried and tasty. I'd do that again. The mac and cheese was pretty lame, too runny and tasted boxed. Hush puppies tasted fine, but had a stale texture... maybe just needed to toss them out and make some more. My wife had the "half chicken" which was pretty good, side of baked beans, (meh) and slaw (also average). The pattern seems to be budget sides, which is not the worst thing in the world, but could be improved. The entrees were good and the service was excellent. I will come back and try a steak some time.

Good option for an area where there isn't too much available. The menu had something for everyone. I've decided to go with a couple of the specials and both happened to be seafood. The scallop appetizer was underwhelming. For the price of the dish comma I was expecting larger scallops. Also, they were a little overcooked and underseasoned. The Seabass dinner was nice and the fish was cooked properly. I had baked potato fomo because mine was tiny relative to other diners. Also, the biscuit could've been a bit bigger as well. Service was friendly and attendant also, this place seems to be in very popular with locals. The clientele was mostly older, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. So, I had a experience. My food was lackluster. But maybe a different dish and app.

13 ounce ribeye was excellent. Wood fired grill. Grilled to perfection. Very friendly staff. Definitely will be back.

Our dinners. The ribs and steak the best we have had in a long time.

The food and service were absolutely amazing! I'm definitely going back when I am in town. Kristy brown is a hostess there. She helped my Boyfriend to get some tea and a piece of chocolate for his diabetes. His sugar was dropping. We can't thank you or your establishment enough. We really enjoyed our time there and the food. We will definitely be stopping by again when we are in town.

Food was amazing, my husband had the full rack of ribs and I had fish and chips. Everything was plentiful and absolutely delicious! My husband said he would drive the 6 hours it took to get here just to eat at 13 bones again. I have to say the service was fast for such and the staff knows how to move patrons along.

Not many dining choices in this area. Ample parking and a large dining area with tables efficiently serviced so that they turn over quickly. Our wait for a table was only 10-minutes, following a group of 18! The service was the star of the experience. Very efficient, helpful, attentive servers. Shout out to Suzanna. The large staff worked well together and seemed to make everyone feel comfortable. The ambience is southern, hometown casual. You feel like you are visiting your large family from start to finish. Nothing pretentious. Clean enough. Comfortable. Pricing....in this time of food inflation, this restaurant still offers amazing prices. My husband and I had two large dinner entrees with water and our bill came to just under $24.00. Our portions were generous as evidence in the photo. Our waitress recommended the grilled pork chops which were hot, juicy and seasoned just right. They came with two veggie sides from a long list of choices. I chose collard greens and Mac and cheese. These items were just average and only luke warm as was the biscuit (from a choice of about 5 bread options). Had the sides been hot and a little more flavorful, I would have given 5 stars. For vegetarians and all-day breakfast eaters, Cooper Pot is your place; so much to choose from on their menu. Vegans might struggle as most southern cooking includes dairy and it looks as if they cook their sides in large quantities and keep them in a warmer to serve. The ability to respond quickly to large numbers of travelers and locals, with solid, well-priced, filling meals is the gift of the Copper Pot. We will return when traveling their way.
